Other than Rime, the prices seem fine to me. Dont care about Bomberman R's filesize when the game is fun.

I got the hat from the classic link amiibo. Personally, I've always liked it, I mean you could wear what's essentially a fat armor suit that looks completely silly, a pointy green hat isnt any worse.

We did lose left-handed Link forever though....and that made me slightly sad

I've had an absolute blast playing NS so far. My single player gaming has been dominated by Zelda. Couch co-op has been all Snipperclips so far, with Blaster Master Zero and Metal Slug 3 up next.

Finding out how to do things in this game has been a blast but water seems to be my absolute biggest enemy.

One tower was surrounded by electro mages and a moat, boy was I having a difficult time. Decided to focus on more shrines to get stronger.

Totally agree about the save files, I should be able to back those up anywhere. Browser and streaming apps is something other companies need to address, my NS is for gaming.

the rest sounds like consoles with defects, which all electronics suffer from. But the scariest thing a gamer will ever have to do is call customer support, they'd rather cry about it through youtube videos.

@jefflemon That may be true under certain retailers or UK consumer laws, but manufacturers don't usually hold themselves accountable for one pixel across 921,600 of them.

They have to put something in place, because losing all my save data if I lose my console is kinda craptastic. Putting it behind a subscription wall isnt that great of a solution either.

Phew, was getting worried that all this game had was the 10-15 starting stages. What I've played has been an absolute blast.

Samsung has told me the same, it has to be a cluster of dead pixels before it's considered a manufacturing defect. This is normal.

I bought a screen protector but havent had any issues docking the NS. Even docked it in complete darkness a few times with no problems.

This will be my next eShop purchase after finishing BotW. $40 is steep though and I picked it up day1 on PS4.

There were queues all over my town for this thing. Picked up my pre-order Friday morning and it's been a blast.

BotW is what I've always wanted in an open-world game. Got Snipperclips to play with the wife and that's been fun, but I'm getting the feeling there arent enough stages.

The game is not sitting idle if he's staring over a cliff, it's rendering all the graphics in the draw distance which takes processing. I would say that actually burns the battery quicker.

Sitting idle would be a pause menu or pointing the camera towards a spot on the ground and not moving it. I still maintain the best way to test this is to actually play the game on a full charge until it dies. Not leaving it in one spot constantly, that doesnt imitate the user experience at all.

I am hyped and ready for next weekend. Got Friday's launch all cleared from work and will be picking up about 3 or 4 games. Will be party gaming on Saturday

PS4 controllers and psvr had the same problem at launch. I'm guessing it's software-side and nintendo covers it in the day1 patch.

They should've found a way to have the day1 patch installed in preview units, that way publications can be sure of their findings.

Hmmm, my New3DS in sleep mode has been pretty phenomenal. I've played OoT3D for a while and left it in my bag for two days with no charge, was at 75% battery when I got back. Maybe because it isnt an XL, who knows.

I grabbed old stuff this week thanks to MyNintendo deals. ALttP on 3DS and Skyward Sword on WiiU. Nothing else for me this week, in preparation of the NS.

It isnt unheard of to release a system in Q1. They obviously want it to drop before their financials but that isnt the sole reason. This is also tax refund season, where folks have more money to play around with.

If you actually analyze the market, releasing in Christmas wouldve been a bad move with the amount of competition lining up their holiday deals. Theres a reason even microsoft and sony are pushing console deals out right now, they're trying to scream over the NS

You'd think with Nickelodeon being involved that Universal Studios would get some sort of NS event before release. I mean, they do have a deal together. Oh well.

@tarvaax That isnt a very good comparison. General opinion is that FO4 was a step back from the previous games thanks to a lack of options and bad writing. Quite a few gamers prefer New Vegas or even FO3.

Besides that, we're talking about different development teams...so it wasnt fan feedback that made Fallout4 "better" than New Vegas.

The positive vibes are making this hype train hit new levels.

If it wasnt for WiiU these last few years, local multiplayer would be completely dead at my house. NS is going to bring it back in a big way.

Distant friends want to team up online as soon as splatoon2 releases, while nearby friends and co-workers all have NS pre-ordered so we can local play during our time off.

It is going to be grand-tastical.

Disgaea 5 on-the-go...awesome! I thought it was going to release on psvita but they skipped that platform.

While it isnt fully integrated now, checking certain games on nintendo.com while logged in shows me the button "re-download" rather than "purchase". So the system has been in place for a while, but it looks like NS finally adopts it completely.

that and region-free gaming makes me extremely happy.

It's looking good! I especially like how they handled the AC, HDMI, and USB plugs inside the dock, that is slick.

My only concern is being able to put the dock on a table where I can easily pull the NS out and it doesnt get in the way of the TV screen. I usually have my consoles in a semi-enclosure under the TV.

The icons will probably be handled like on PS4, where more become available depending on the games you play.

Anyway, I like the ability to change icon backgrounds and hopefully themes come with more. Wonder if there'll be some sort of achievement system...

It makes sense. The NS is going to cause a sales vacuum until the NS release and an NES mini is only $60.
What's weird is the lack of handheld hardware sales but they still put up top10 in software for WiiU and 3DS.

My favorite thing about this is the idea of taking the game on-the-go. Played it on PS4 and enjoyed the old-school RPG feel, here's hoping we get a sequel on Switch as well.
