Hmm, that animation doesn’t seem so original where one person could claim it as theirs. Anyone who watches anime has seen that hundreds of times from a number of studios.
It sucks but the design choices could be created by anyone who took a class for it.
Meh, sounds like the same problem gamers have had since analog sticks were a thing. N64, PS1, Dreamcast, Xbox...
I've bought three PS4 controllers in total, the first one had a common analog stick problem where the rubber coating would start to loosen and stretch.
This is one of least favorite FF entries but still decent enough to pick up again. Maybe this will mean dotemu can eventually remaster Brave Fencer Musashi :]
Sega is cursed to have great IPs and ideas, but no clue on how to properly market them or make them appealing to the masses.
Sega Ages is really expensive for what it is, unlike the 3D Classics line that they did on 3DS (and said sold better). Give us a new Shinobi and actually try to release good things with other devs.
And to think, now all those TMNT games are unlicensed and locked in a vault somewhere, to be destroyed. Meanwhile, Castlevania is among one of their few strongest franchises -_-
I knew Akamatsu before this (huge CV fan), but this helps round out more of the Castlevania story. Imagine if his artistry was cultivated and not kicked around by Konami...
A lot of companies do this with subscriptions though...that's why they're subscriptions. You're automatically enrolled and have to cancel, just like a magazine.
Back then, MS and Sony would bury it in the menus. Now, all three tell you up front (Sony hides it just a bit) with an easy way to turn off.
Not surprising, I'm just waiting for this latest Star Fox update before shelving the game. It has an alright premise but the release structure sucked and the focus on boring generic Ubisoft characters really wears the game down.
This should've been a Beyond Good and Evil spin-off, with no lame selling strategy for different ships/characters.
Gamers forget just how much this game ballooned past it's original scope. It was already going to be bigger than SOTN....then they broke a whole bunch of funding goals and nearly doubled that. And added a throwback game in Circle of the Moon.
I am still amped for this to release, they can take their time and release it properly.
All digi-comic subscriptions should be jumping on this idea. I'd get something like this if it meant every Dark Horse and Image comic I could ever want to read. Would sign up for life.
Weird that he doesn't share the channel they livestreamed from or the videos from that livestream. Just the picture of the game screen, him writing on the cabinet, and some quick photoshopped picture. Not saying he's lying here, just that he could do a little more to promote this.
But as others have said, his skill at DK was never in question...anyone can spend 2 days at that cabinet and start hitting those high scores if they do enough research. It's the initial deceit that's the problem.
No one denied Lance Armstrong can ride a bike really well, it was the deceit that people have a problem with.
Great review but it still reads like a skip for me. Once again, they seem to be more obsessed with forcing players to use a specific controller set-up instead of letting us play how we want.
Skyward Sword, Star Fox Zero, Super Mario Party, and now Pokemon Let's Go.
What next, can SSBU only be played with a Gamestop exclusive Mario glove?
I specifically held off of buying SMP because I only have 2 joycon, so this is a nice deal. But...it didn't sound like that great a game when reading reviews.
SSBU is the only physical Switch game I'm waiting for in 2018, rest is for indies.
He could properly thank Nintendo when Reroll sells better than any other entry in this boring series. Or talk crap about their greatest games while propping up the craptastic Last Guardian...
A sub service is a nice bandaid and still meets what a certain amount of retro gamers want, also great for the ability to share with other Switch owners.
The ability to download the game outright and own it forever though, that should be the ultimate goal. Gamers want collections, SSB has showed us this in its trophy collection...to the point where we got amiibo. They simply have to do that again, but with their historical software line-up and not simply established characters/mascots.
Nintendo can do it, but the videogame industry is notorious for failing to establish enthusiast-friendly ideas quickly.
Okay, that's a crap opinion. He liked The Last Guardian because he knows the developer and he's sad! Not any valid criticism at all, just brown nosing.
"Oh, BotW is like Shadow of the Colossus...but with actual content? YUCK"
Meh, there have been 10 Mario Party titles so a bit of variety between gaming modes would've been nice. As it stands, this just looks like joy-con killers.
So the gamers who want to continue playing Splatoon2 online need to subscribe...but also won't get any sort of save data cloud backup for the same game.
What a strange situation. Still not seeing a reason worth subscribing for.
I didn't even know it was releasing on Switch, had it in my gog wishlist for a while. I'm on vacation and am already building up a list of games to buy when getting back
With the amount of new Pokemon games (in either videogame or TCG format) set to release in the coming year, this was bound to happen.
If one of the new things they plan on adding to the Pokemon franchise have to do with something connected to one of the characters/levels/powers used in this fan-made stuff, it's a conflict of interest for the property holders/makers.
My only gripe is the forced 16gb install. I'm purchasing it either way, just have to decide between XBO, PS4, or Switch. They have their own pros and cons.
My problem with this is that joycon are not sturdy enough. This is going to be another analog stick breaking Mario Party game and I'm not keen on having to buy another pair of joycon for 4-player.
I don't consider quality gaming on-the-go a "tax". Also won't call developers (you know the people making the games you folks buy) greedy for spending time and effort to bring these games to us. It was never a cheap hobby.

Re: Random: Hmm, This New Kanye West Song Sure Sounds Familiar
I'm laughing at the song itself more than any likeness in chord progression to the Gerudo.
Kanye is trash, always has been.
Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch
Meh, sounds like the same problem gamers have had since analog sticks were a thing. N64, PS1, Dreamcast, Xbox...

Unrealistic expectations folks.
Re: Dotemu "Honored" To Team Up With Square Enix For Remastered Version Of Final Fantasy VIII

Re: Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights And More D&D Classics Coming To Switch
YES. All the time, every time....YES!
These games are classics and I'm absolutely excited we're getting them on Switch.
Re: 198X Release Trailer Fires Up Our Arcade Nostalgia
I like most of what they showed off but some sections seemed like an auto-runner stuff. Still, looking forward to what folks have to say!
Re: Rayman's Original Composer Passes Away
What a great composer. You will be missed Mr. Gazel, thank you for the music.
Re: Physical Super Mario Maker 2 Goodies Are Available For Free On My Nintendo In Japan
Cool that it has graph paper. Thought it was hex paper for a second and almost geeked out lol.

Re: Playing Pokémon Regularly As A Kid Can Activate A Special Region In Your Brain, Study Finds
It makes sense, pokemon can be remembered as fondly as a pet.
Re: Awaken Your Inner Samurai In Akane, An Arena Arcade-Slasher Coming To Switch
Niiice, looks worth dropping a fiver on. Would be cool if they expand on this with a full-on story mode.
Re: Yuzo Koshiro Is Keen To Make Another Shinobi Game
We can all have the power, just gotta tell SEGA in big groups. Sadly, they never listen to fans.
Return Of Shinobi, do it Sega.
Re: EA Has “No Plans” To Release Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order On The Switch
I wouldn't have a gripe with this if it were an EA-owned IP, but something as big as Star Wars should absolutely have exposure on every system.
WB provides Lego Star Wars...big tough EA should have no problem releasing anything Star Wars related on one of the hottest consoles around right now.

This should've been a Beyond Good and Evil spin-off, with no lame selling strategy for different ships/characters.
Re: Chrono Trigger Director Takashi Tokita Is Producing Switch JRPG Oninaki
My biggest problem is their price points. Setsuna and Lost Sphear were too expensive on release, I still haven't grabbed LS.
Re: Nintendo Reconfirms Switch Release Windows For Metroid, Pokémon, Animal Crossing And More
Yeesh, buncha kids wanting all the info right now.
Anyway, glad to see Daemon X Machina is still on schedule. My most anticipated game of 2019
Re: Review: Dragon: Marked for Death - An Attractive Action Title That's All Burned Out When It Comes To Fresh Ideas
The game itself doesn't sound bad, but the pricing structure is absolute crap. Just trying to nickel and dime for the sake of it. Lame.
Re: Hands On: Hacking Into The Cyberpunk World of Observer On Switch
I love this game, instantly double dipping for this!
Re: Oniken: Unstoppable Edition And Odallus: The Dark Call Are Both Coming To Switch In One Retro Package
Yay! I always jump back into these games on PC and constantly hope for a Switch release. Picking up both on day1.
I was a little confused at first because nothing outright says this will be a digital release on the eShop. May want to clarify in the future.
Re: Review: Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes - A Stylish Return For The Otaku Hitman
Woohoo, nice review guys. Can't wait to play this!

Re: Random: Rapper Soulja Boy Just Launched A Pair Of Game Consoles, So Of Course There's A Catch
Rappers can sell anything to their fanbase and he has a lot of fans. When good seats can cost upwards of $250 a ticket, this is peanuts.
Also some could be buying it to try and initiate a lawsuit.
Re: Japanese Charts: Pokémon: Let's Go Still Number One For Third Week, Switch Sales Rise Again
Yeesh, 13 of those are on a Nintendo platform. Pretty crazy, same goes for those hardware sales.
...and SSBU is in 2 days...The Switchening is still going strong!
Re: Nintendo Tells Fans To Tune Into The Game Awards Tomorrow, Reveals Incoming?
I'm going to guess the obvious Metroid Prime Trilogy re-release announcement, some Metroid Prime 4 footage, and something SSBU related.
Re: Billy Mitchell Live Streams 1,050,100 Point Donkey Kong Game

Re: Video: Seven Minutes Of Smash Bros. Ultimate Footage To Tide You Over Until The Big Release
Guh, so good! Just wish it came out today so friends and family can play through thanksgiving. Alas, they'll have to wait til christmas to get whupped
Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's World Of Light Mode Will Not Include Co-Op
After seeing what it was, didn't expect co-op. You have every other game mode for that so I'm good.
Would be cool if Break The Target showed up somehow (DLC?), especially if it had a create-your-own mode.

woohoo, Sphinx and the cursed mummy! Day1 buy over here.

It's great to read Capcom bouncing back, they've had an awesome release schedule this year.
Re: You Can Thank The GameCube For Katamari Damacy, According To Creator Keita Takahashi
He could properly thank Nintendo when Reroll sells better than any other entry in this boring series. Or talk crap about their greatest games while propping up the craptastic Last Guardian...
So much irony.
Re: Surprise! A Special Version Of The Legend Of Zelda Has Appeared In The Switch's NES Library
That's cool for speed-runners and retro gamers in general. Reminds me of the NES Remix mini-games.

Re: Konami Launches Castlevania Portal Website With Info And History - And Space For New Games?
One of my all-time favorite series...but this CV site isn't done well.
Did they take the "Circle of the Moon" subtitle off of the 2001 GBA release?
Re: Random: Katamari Director Wasn't Impressed With Mario Or Zelda On Switch

I'll just wait for SSBU.
Re: Soapbox: Nintendo's Excuses Regarding Cloud Saves Aren't Good Enough
I stand by the opinion that cloud saves should be free for any system that doesnt allow you to export game saves by normal means.
Re: Nintendo Labo Vehicle Kit Has Disappointing Launch In Japan, Switch Still Best-Selling Console
Nintendo is applying a toy-like product release schedule for Labo when they should be thinking bigger. Anyway, great to see Spider-Man doing so well.
Re: NES Games On Switch Playable For Up To Seven Days Without Internet Connection
Bleh, lots of rules for this thing. I'm still waiting until SSBU has proven to work with very little lag before subscribing. So in december

Re: Interview: Daemon X Machina Producer Kenichiro Tsukuda On Cooking Up An Authentic Mech Game For Everyone
It's so Meching beautiful! Day 1 buy.
