We need more arena brawlers so I am completely fine with this. The F2P nature is a turn off but will still give it a try.
Folks need to stop acting so snotty towards independent developers pushing to make an honest game. I applaud these dudes, would love to see them make a game in the style of Power Stone one day.
First of all, KH3 is made in Unreal Engine, which is scalable. I'm betting it'll get an NS release alongside PC. Why? Because SE wants sales and releasing on a handheld will sell like gangbusters in japan. If the game is really good, it could become an evergreen title.
Can't compare this to DQH2, Omega Forces and SE Business Division are completely different developers. Engines are also very different. Someone loves to spout nonsense without checking info...
Yeesh, god forbid anyone mentions that a female is [positive opinion] on the internet.
That doesn't all of a sudden negate the whole interview. Still read it, still found it insightful, and yeah Ms.Gordon is pretty. The ones saying "grow up" need to listen to their own advice.
@ralek85 wow, that was a whole lot of blathering. Entertainment holds up on its own. Otherwise, a picaso would never be considered art because Michelangelo existed. Pure nonsense.
And just to be clear, the opinion were discussing isn't "I don't like this show" it's the audacious "everyone is suffering from a mass-delusion if they like this show".
Dude is a gamer through and through, they couldn't have put Castlevania or Assassin's Creed in better hands. Also interested in seeing this Gods and Secrets thing.
Can we also give Trevor Morris, the 2 time Emmy winning composer, some credit here? The soundtrack was great, even if it didn't play up on nostalgia for the sake of nostalgia. I can't imagine one section in this season where the iconic songs would've been used to full effect. Gamers apparently want to hear "bloody tears" when Trevor is drinking in a tavern.....maybe wait for them to actually get to Dracula's castle.
The 4th episode had a lot of moments that would work in a new CV game. A 2-player castlevania building on this story with Sypha and Trevor would be fantastic.
Anyway, so glad this new animation worked so well. I'm the kind of fan that beats a couple of old Castlevania games every year, this has been a treat that had me smiling ear to ear. Bring on Season2!
It was great. Folks worried about gore probably shouldn't be watching a Castlevania series lol.
The initial 4 episodes were to test the waters and it delivered a nice contained plot. Here's hoping this washes away all the bad Lords of Shadow lore and we could get a proper Castlevania game again.
This guy has done nothing but port his Oddworld games over and over. To the point where they had to hire another developer entirely to create New N Tasty (which should've been renamed Oddworld: Clunky N Boring).
All you have to do is look at the DS/3DS line to see how well 3rd parties can do on a system when they try. Not a bunch of me-too re-releases that have to be "day and date" as all other platforms.
Whatever, it won't stop here. All these people know that their only way of making headlines is to down-talk the NS while it keeps selling like hotcakes. It reeks of a PR push created to distance gamers from the Switch.
He's just wigging out because they promised Kickstarter backers an NS release and Nintendo doesn't just let you dump 10+GB of uncompressed files onto their system.
Of course it isn't going to be a PS4 or XBO. And thank god for that because I don't need three identical consoles competing with eachother for the exact same crap. Variety is good. Two systems are teaching developers to make bloated games (gotta fill up your HDD ASAP) even to the point of now adding 4K textures when people with regular HDTVs won't see any of that detail. Nintendo doesn't need to enter that rat race, they're bringing gaming to a wider audience....beyond the 30-something dudebros.
Don't expect Darksiders3 on NS any time around its release.
They have to start differentiating between ad hoc multiplayer (everyone in the same room, but with their own gamecard and system) and local multiplayer (one system with multiple players).
Sadly, local co-op and salmon run were my main interests in this game.
@electrolite77 ehh, it's cool that people could use that but I'm not paying UK prices (10BP is about $14). Also don't like that I have to make different profiles for other regions.
Yes please! I tried this on a tablet and felt it would be an easy buy with physical controls. Hoping this isn't another case of EU exclusivity though...what a beautiful July 4th present that would be
That's fine with me, no one should expect the heavier games to have a direct NS port, especially from Activision. Maybe some sort of spin-off or as someone mentioned up top, a release of the Modern Warfare remaster would be nice.
And no, this doesnt mean that NS gamers are clamoring for weaker 3rd party support. We want games, but expecting a game that was announced at the end of April to all of a sudden have NS support is completely unreasonable.
I'm sure they're looking to stay away for now. Skylanders Imaginators on NS likely sold like crap (and for good reason, it sucks). Honestly, if their idea of support are shoddy ports of their toys-to-life games....good riddance. Give us Crash Bandicoot, then I'll care about Activision.
I'd prefer one app covering NES/SNES/GB, reading your purchases, and then applying those to the games you already own digitally. But that would suggest a VC launching with three entire libraries (mostly) intact, a highly unlikely dream at this point.
Oooh, I like this Countdown to DLC site, forgot the first pack is releasing in a couple of days. Decided to put off BotW until the bigger DLC pack later this year....but the new suits are too tempting
Makes sense, the Playstation brand is the strongest thing Sony has going, even that could be in danger as they start mixing in PSVR and 4Pro hardware.
PC division tanked, their electronics are constantly being out-done by other companies, blu-ray is all but dried up as 4K/UHD sales grow, and their entertainment division isnt doing them any favors (the new Spider-Man may help change that slightly).
It all makes perfect sense so long as you understand what these things mean. Judging by the comments, very few understand what a commercial product is or what trademarking is. But dangit, they want their armchair business decisions to be heard! Even if they make no sense!
I definitely prefer Samus Returns existing and releasing in September.
@nintysnesman Can't speak for everyone but I'm still very much enjoying the games and having fun. Enthusiasts just like to talk about sales projections too, a kind of guessing game that proves itself true or false eventually down the line.
So ARMs UK sales are based on 1 day (maybe 2) at the market. Compared to HZD's 7 full days at market, with a 30% pricedrop...that is a really good start.
Don't care what anyone says, that is a strong release schedule and a good chunk are 3rd party. I'm getting at least 7 of those titles, already have ARMs and it's been real fun.
@shiryu Thanks for the info! Ubisoft should send some swag your way.
So that sounds way better. No need to clip the ship onto the controller, a chance of having some Nintendo-specifc content (Fox or Samus O_O), and splitscreen co-op. Sold.
The problem is having a stupid bulky thing on top of my controller. I'd get a StarFox set as a collectible, but would'nt pick this game up in its current concept.
Sounds like a lot of pausing in-between dogfights to pick up stuff sitting on your coffee table.
For now, it isnt coming to NS guys. What we're seeing is a brand launch, the entire concept was basically explained in that CG trailer and Ancel's time on stage afterwards.
They aren't promising a thing until they see how well their concept can run on a PC. This game is a long way off.
They should've lined up a definitive answer for this and app support from services like netflix and hulu. I wish they showed some enthusiasm from the folks at NVIDIA too.
While they had a great presentation with exciting announcements for 2017 and 2018, they're still walling the NS off considerably. No news on app support other than the PC streaming app, nothing in the form of discounts on software for the new console, no humble bundle that could've spanned across 3DS/WiiU/NS systems, and the VC/online subscription gets vague PR speech.
Love all the E3 tournaments though, that was fun and promoted the community.
I'm still on the fence with ARMs but will pick up Gunvolt for sure. Cave Story+ may catch my attention next week, local co-op and on-the-go is a great combo for me.
It was great. Also not sure how much 3rd party support people are expecting but it's pretty solid for year1. Skyrim, mario+rabbids, samus returns being handled by MercurySteam, Rocket League, and Minecraft getting the cross-platform update.
4 games and a huge update in 2017, not including indie. Besides that, Reggie said they have more 3rd party announcements in the next couple of days.

This one seems a bit too simple for me, but still would like to see what else Springloaded brings to NS.

I want to pre-order it so bad, but too pricey for an NA purchase.
Guh! Why Nintendoooo!!
Re: ARMS 2.0.0 Is Now Available for Download
This update and the Splatoon2 beta will be deciding factors in which game I keep. Anyway, great update I'm looking forward to Hedlok mode.

@ralek85 yes, it's a "mass-delusion". Or, you have bad taste...
Netflix is making more because this worked really well. End of story.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Comes With A Built-In NES Emulator
@bluedogrulez Huh? I beat that game on WiiU VC without a problem, using all the old techniques as with the original NES release.
Anyway, I expect there to be an NES emulator in the Switch when they've been saying that the online service will have altered NES games.

Re: Majora's Mask DLC Will Definitely be Useful in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Will be using this mask when I want to save durability. Still wish there was an inventory chest in Link's house.
Re: Matters Of Import: Finding The Secret Of Mana In Seiken Densetsu Collection On Switch
Ehh, I'll hold out hope for a localized version. Don't see the purpose in playing an RPG where I won't understand anything that's happening.
For any psvita owners, they recreated FF Gaiden in 3D as Adventures of Mana.

Yay, I've been forced to unplug the NS from my TV because of this.

Sadly I still havent picked up any BotW amiibo (can't find any) or pre-ordered the Cloud amiibo.
