I think a Pokémon game that happens entirely in a city is a good idea but for it to really work we would need a much more intricate and elaborate city.
I'm French and I buy most of my games at Leclerc. The prices are great and though not as good as the NS1 generation it at least makes the prices kind of normal and what they should be. Game Key Cards are a pretty good deal there since they're actually cheaper than digital for example.
@RupeeClock XII TZA is an absolutely terrific game and the Switch version is very competent. It's a joy to play and it's one of the best games ever. Go play it now it's so good and I love it so much.
I dislike VIII so much that I was thinking can I get a VII only cartridge please? I'll even pay the same price.
Or a VII/IX combo?
I mean I could just buy the VII/VIII cartridge and then reprint a nice VII boxart more akin to the one they came up with for IX and just pretend VIII doesn't exist.
I think the first one was a lot more unique and emotional simply thanks to its more artsy piano only score. I think in general Nintendo Pictures should not hesitate to take a more artsy approach to differentiate itself from an increasingly samey and increasingly suspected of being AI made CG industry. We want them to be taken seriously.
I prefer the piano only music but the new one is good too and I have to say I really like where the pikmin series is going. It's been gradually evolving to be closer and closer to the real human world and if it keeps doing that it's going to be fantastic.
My god is this incredibly cute and well made. You say it feels un-Nintendo? I don't agree with that.
Even though there's no Mario or any reference there, it absolutely feels like something nintendo would do. The designs and the feel good vibe is very ninty if you ask me. As for what it will lead to, as far as I am concerned it's pretty clear.
I say the next Pikmin type is definitely an invisible one.
There is something I have not seen mentioned too much but they found something incredible to let you use the pointer in portable mode. You just press R to turn the pointer on so to speak, and then you move the console around to move it on the screen. It's such a simple idea and it works incredibly well. I don't remember it being in 3d all stars (which I've played mainly on a tv screen, that was before THE BABY happened) was it there already?
That's because SH1 certainly is a good game but the one that really left a mark on the industry and is considered an absolute gem that is important to the story of the media itself is the second game. Also 1 already has a remake.
I imagine Yotei will win this because of novelty. For me neither DKB nor MKW are GOTY contender although they are both good games.
From what I observe of the industry though the clear GOTY is Clair Obscure. It took everyone by surprise, it's extremely well made, it's clearly a labour of love, it's a success story from underdogs who left a AAA giant, it's an absolute indie darling. All of these makes it a clear deserving GOTY much more than AAA open world number 3 billion or a multi million dollar blockbuster platformer as good as they are.
What is going on in the background there Japan? It's just not very well defined though it's true that it is closer to what's in game. Still voted for US.
Though I do think MKW is seriously lacking in content, especially in the open world department and also I think not having any kind of options for anything is incredibly disappointing, I also admit that it's excellent in a lot of ways. The gameplay is excellent, the tracks are brilliant, the gameplay loop is very addictive, the open world is fun, the roster is unexpected in a good way and the music man. The ost is flat out incredible, it's smash brothers levels of insane and it's one of the best osts ever made period.
This combined with I'm not particularly attached to a lot of Sega characters makes me choose MK still, but it's true that Sonic looks really good and I hope Nintendo sees it as a threat. That'll make them polish that 3 billion dollar game that still needs to prove what it's worth.
Gotta vote for Other M despite all the mindless hating.
That rendition of the title theme is by far the best and also it has the advantage of doubling down with an alternate title theme which is a beautiful piano piece that mirrors that other aspect of Samus.
Like it or not she was young once, she made her share of mistakes and also she has feelings about things which is... wow can you imagine she's not actually a robot as much as people want her to be just that and god forbid she would sometimes stop and reflect like actual people do.
In a sense I think the Japanese one is being more honest about what's in the box. The typical DS "app" white design is more in line with the game being very simple almost more like a technical proof of concept. That being said it was sold full price so yeah.
I've got to say the first person RE were not the ones I was hoping for but I'll support the game anyway. I've played a good deal of 7 and liked it enough even though I prefer the third person games.
Resurrected is absolutely brilliant and I love it!
It's extremely well made, filled to the brim with brilliant ideas, it looks, sounds and plays awesome. It's just incredible.
This feels very much like cut content and it's overpriced.
Nintendo this gen has been a mixed bag to say the least. If this is a sign of things to come, I'll be waiting for them to become the outsider again so that they start doing things properly like they used to.
@MasterGraveheart Fans loved the rather clear implication that she was gay and kind of hated when it turned out she was bi. At the end of the day the creator is going to have control over the characters he wants to create. Also even from a realistic standpoint just like there is no purity of the heterosexual couple that would be the end all be all, there is no sexual orientation that cannot change or evolve and if people believe there is they are kind of missing the point. The fact that they want really hard that a character becomes an icon of their condition doesn't really matter.
People just didn't like Viola and didn't like the ending so they found other stuff to complain about.
And well it turns out the ending is great and Viola is awesome so yeah maybe don't listen to hardcore fans too much they'll make your game about one thing and one thing only, always play the same game after game, unapproachable and they'll make you write a scenario that looks like a fanfic.
Okay the construct is absolutely definitely Link.
I'm not sure I like that. I mean how would it work with TotK's story? Maybe it's just ancient hero DNA infused in that thing and not actual TotK Link?
EDIT : wait, is there even an ancient hero at this point in the story? We don't know where it sits in the timeline, if the ancient hyrule in TotK is situated before Skyward Sword, there hasn't been a hero yet.
@The-Chosen-one
Oh if it's Fi embodied on the other hand I'm absolutely going to lose my sh**
I loved the first movie so whatever it is I'll gladly check it out. Now when it comes to games, I like the Galaxy franchise, but in terms of gameplay I would like them to at least keep some of the exploration found in Odyssey.
Honestly they can go whichever direction they see fit. I trust them, but they shouldn't forget about older/more skilled gamers who love Mario. Bring more challenge to the franchise in general. Not just the couple last levels of a game, make challenge more prominent I general.
It's also got me thinking I need to download Dead Cells again, y'know. I need to get back into Cave Story, and a bunch of other quite challenging platformers that I shrugged and put down because it was easier to stick Assassin's Creed on and spend two hours avoiding everyone while I tried on new outfits. What a fool I've been.

Kid Icarus Uprising HD when? Conker anyone? Okami 2 and on that note what about Bayo and Astral Chain? So many questions
@SlimeDragon I'm sure it wasn't there pre patch either. I noticed right away when starting the game and it was pre patch. 2 great games and 1 bad one. Pretty good overall plus we can finally play Mario and Wario as it was intended!
Re: Review: Little Nightmares III (Switch 2) - A Missed Opportunity For Couch Co-op That Plays It A Little Too Safe
This series was always a case of style over substance for me. It does LOOK cool though.

Re: Poll: Do You Think Nintendo's New Animated Short 'Close To You' Is Pikmin Related?
I mean there IS the pikmin theme in there. It is flat out there, played on the piano, the exact notes.
If anything I'd say if they wanted this to be a mystery then that was not subtle enough.
Re: Opinion: Ogre Battle 64: Person Of Lordly Caliber's Revolutionary Heart Still Burns Brightly
We need this game on NSO.
Never released in EU!

This and the Waluigi one from Mario Party.
Still hoping for a Wario and Waluigi game one day. Imagine Super Wario Bros.

Re: Mario Kart World And Donkey Kong Bananza Shortlisted For 'Console Game Of The Year'
Best NEW gaming hardware should be the NS2 obviously Games wise it has to prove itself, only time will tell, but otherwise it is good hardware.
That being said I would love to see the pro controller win over the console itself that would be hilarious.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Operation C / Probotector (Game Boy)
US is the weakest of the bunch imo. It's very generic and that pose is kind of absurd to be honest.
On the other hand I actually really like that the EU one is a POV of some alien monster you have to imagine for yourself.
I voted for that one.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 For Switch?
The price is outrageous to be blunt.
