The cardboard headset is very cheap. Not sure why people think it is expensive considering it is the price of a decent take away in the UK.

I even split the cost with my friends like I did with the family NSO subscription.

I do think the VB app will eventually get a 2D option though. But knowing Nintendo they'll hold it back for the Switch 3.

Although Raiders is great it is definitely Splatoon 3's delayed full story dlc that we didn't get at the time.

Going forward we'll never get decent dlc again for Splatoon 4 and above as there will be a Raiders 2 and so on.

I'd say that Splatoon 2 along with it's dlc is the best full splatoon game overall.

The important bit is they've just restocked the snes pads there.

So expect a no doubt final restock in the UK soon.

I didn't as I bought a modded Japanese one and got all my games from Canada (from dvdboxoffice) to the UK.

A great little console. Hoping Nintendo add more to NSO soon. 😊

Not sure why people think Nintendo should avoid GTA release month.

Can't see either games affecting each others sales overall.

Gamestop apparently leaked that preorders open next week for Zelda so maybe we are getting the full reveal trailer/direct very soon.

Quick question for everyone. Have you noticed the quality of the paper cover in terms of glossiness and thickness isn't as good on recent physical games. 😬

This could just be for Star Fox and Splatoon Raiders (so Nintendo published titles) but it is definitely not as good quality as Resident Evil Requiem for example. Or that of my only physical Switch 1 game left (TMNT Cowabunga Collection).

The Free Trial in the UK a few months back was really good. Put 25 hours in that week as the game was very addictive and fun.

My mate ended up buying it as he didn't complete it in time so I'll borrow it from him virtually once the upgrade is out. 😊

Using UK data isn't really a true reflection of what is happening globally though in terms of physical sales for Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 games.

However, I always buy physical if the option is there but do not to collect them.

Selling them on after completion helps pay for the next one and so on.

I'd love to see them adding game manuals to the service.

Also add the Master System too.

A new usb version of the NES pad would be great if it gets a UK release.

Even if Switch 3 games become digital only it will have a cartridge slot for Switch 1 and 2 games.

They will have to vastly improve the storage included in the hardware though.

However, if physical sales are still strong for Switch 2 by 2031 Nintendo will most likely still support it on Switch 3.

Yes it is because of the new battery laws in Europe but hopefully they'll discontinue the Switch 1 everywhere else in 2028 or when the Switch 2 lite (heavy) comes along.

They can still make Switch 1 games of course with Switch 2 editions to please the Switch 1 community who haven't upgraded to Switch 2.

But they do need to let it go eventually.

Well, if the Switch 3 or 4 becomes Nintendo's first digital only console that is fine. I won't give up on my hobby of 35 years easily.

But, I might wait for a sale for every big release that I'd normally get on cartridge day one if they still do their 33% off sales.

As for Xbox and PlayStation I don't care as I only buy Nintendo anyway.

Nintendo might follow suit eventually but Switch 3 in 2034 might be too soon to go fully digital.

GKC are absolutely fine because I sell my games on but also because I simply don't have time to replay older games numerous times for the rest of my life like the physical collectors on here seem to have.

But yup, code in a box is the worst. People are saying that an actual proper physical disc(s) version will be coming out eventually and this is simply to stop leaks before release.

Although I'm in the UK I got the USA version of the N64 to have full screen games that ran at the correct speed.

We won't see them for a few years. Especially with the new European version coming where you can remove the battery easily.

I've not played it since 1998.

So I'm looking forward to the remake.

Pro Controller 2 is essential as I only play docked.

The dpad is still useless though for NES/SNES/classic games.

Luckily I use my snes controller for them.

I can't see them doing any special editions for a few years.

Once they stop making the Switch 1 standard maybe, which they should really do sooner rather than later.

They should discontinue the original Switch model now anyway. Then the lite once the Switch 2 Lite comes out.

The numbers will probably be like waves going forward as people save up for it.

For UK people. Yoshi is £49.99, Star Fox is £41.99 and Splatoon is £41.99 physical from Amazon UK or just a quid more at other popular online stores.

As for the price of Pokémon it is simply a placeholder price. No point pre-ordering something that hasn't even got an official release date (ETA October 2027 ish).

Buy a Switch 2 people. Trade in your old Switch 1 to help pay for it if needed before the price increase.

Not watched the trailer to not spoil any creatures until I play the game.

Guessing it'll be quite a short game but as I sell mine upon completion it's not too bad.

The OOT remake rumour has been a thing for a few years now. One reason why i haven't played the n64 version on the expansion pak yet.
