Re: Rumour: Dataminer Uncovers SNES Games For Nintendo Switch Online Service

dazzleshell

SNES games are definitely coming. Even without Rumours or Datamining. It has always been on the cards. And the price will remain at £18 for the year. And the majority of people on Nintendo sites will still complain.... forever.

As usual I pay £18 a year to play Switch Games I own online. The rest they give us is to me, a bonus.

I already own NES and SNES minis. And have VC still on my Wii U. I have no need to rebuy games to 'own' them again.

I still expect the N64 mini to turn up at least a year before it hits the Switch Online Service too.

Re: Nintendo Celebrates The First Anniversary Of Super Mario Odyssey

Great game. Pure Nostalgia for me and although it took me til January I got 100%.

It seems a lot of people played each world til they had enough moons to move on to get to the end of the 'story' quickly.

I played each world til I couldn't get anymore Moons then moved on which made the game last much longer and be a more enjoyable experience.

I look forward to the sequel. I just hope the next 3d Mario is on the Switch too.

Re: Guide: The Best Nintendo Switch Hardware Bundle Deals

When I picked up Mario Party at Smyths the 6 customers in front of me all picked up the fortnite console.... Hopefully that bundle sells well to extend the user base.

For those in UK living near Smyths it is worth doing the pre-order for collection on certain games as you get a fiver off too.

Re: Video: How Do NES Games On Switch Compare To The NES Mini, Virtual Console And More?

I'd like them to include the instruction manuals in the options.
I do find that the sound makes the odd crackling noise as if a wire isn't plugged in correctly when there is no music.
And the fact high scores are only saved if you create a save file is a bit lazy as could easily patch it so it saves seperately.

But a good start overall as to me it is a 'free bonus' as the subscription cost is so I can play Switch games online. Hope we get more games monthly and nintendo starts to tell us stuff beforehand.

Re: Talking Point: Should Nintendo Keep Releasing DLC For Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?

dazzleshell

I sold my wii u version to fund getting mk8d. It is already the ultimate version of the original 2014 release. I only have 25 hours played on Switch as did too many hours on Wii U.

I can see them potentially adding some dlc in the form of characters or linking in with the mobile game later. But not new tracks.

Mk9 is what I'd prefer. But I don't expect it til at least Xmas 2019/Summer 2020.

Re: The Virtual Console Isn't Coming To Switch, Nintendo Confirms

dazzleshell

Well I had no intention of buying the same retro games I bought on the Wii and WiiU again. I even have the NES and SNES mini and will no doubt get the N64 mini. So no real loss for the Virtual Console.

I will subscribe to play current games online -whatever NES/SNES and beyond games we get is not the reason to get the online service.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Year One: A Review

dazzleshell

Nintendo has had a great year and because I got it on release so have I. It basically awakened my love of games and Nintendo. A year in I am yet to finish Zelda...

Speaking of Zelda has anyone else got the glitch where it now shows as 0 in hours played. Noticed it last night when I stopped playing at 2am. Nintendo are aware of it apparently.

Happy Birthday Switch!

Re: Kirby Star Allies Has a Demo Live on the eShop Now

dazzleshell

Played it yesterday as Demo went live around 3pm. Although I like the graphic style and music it is just not fun for me as a 1 player experience with the CPU characters getting in the way.
The controls feel a bit off too. They feel 'floaty'. Like a millisecond out of sync when you press the buttons. And the Boss battles were basically just button bashing.

Yoshi where are you?

Re: Guide: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For March And April

Nothing for me at all. Only just got back into Zelda BOTW after Mario took over my gaming life so have many hours to put into it. Got Spla2oon recently too so lots to do.
I do like Kirby visuals but with no Online Co-op I will give it a miss. I understand peoples concerns over this years announced games but more will come. Mario Tennis will be my next retail purchase, even if it is in June, followed by Yoshi.
