The thing is... If released on Xbox it wouldn't sell well. And would likely be an Xbox exclusive if developed by Rare. Which is unlikely now as Nuts and Bolts was badly received.
Microsoft just need to release Rare Replay on Switch really. Surely it doesn't need to be an exclusive anymore as has been out a few years.
Just repackage it as the Nintendo edition so it has games upto the Cube. And maybe Nintendo can help so we get their owned IP/Rare developed game like DK64 as well.
I just completed Galaxy 2 on disc via my Wii U. 9 years since I bought it. Better late than never. I intend to finish off the rest of my Wii and Wii U games inbetween playing Switch stuff.
Apart from what we know of if they just stick to 2019 release window...
Retro Studios Secret Game. DK 3D? Metroid Prime Trilogy HD. Rare Replay Nintendo Edition. Pikmin 4 Super Mario Party Free DLC featuring more boards and characters. SNES for Online Service officially announced to launch in September.
And at end a quick teaser for something coming in 2020. Maybe Odyssey 2.
As I've said before it was pretty obvious by the lack of full Amiibo use in Yoshi's Crafted World that they are coming to the end of their lifecycle to 'unlock' stuff in games.
Once the Smash line up is complete that will be it for the figures. They do look good on my shelf though.
And as usual Nintendo don't owe us anything. People need to stop thinking they do.
@RadioHedgeFund I imagine like Yoshi's Crafted World there will be very little Amiibo support. It does seem like Nintendo are winding down to the end of the craze now. Once all Smash amiibo are out that will be it I think.
I still want Mario Kart 9 on Switch but doubt it is coming with mk8d still selling well. I would welcome dlc tracks but again doubt it as it is the 'deluxe' version of the game already.
As for more Odyssey or BOTW content Labo VR will be it. Hoping we get another 3D Mario and Zelda on the Switch though.
This appeared on the Switch news feed about 2 weeks ago.
The first Yoshi's Island is the best. Never should have been called Super Mario World 2 mind. Think that was done to try and shift more copies as Nintendo's last main SNES game.
I only collect the Smash ones so once they are all out that is me done with Amiibos. I do display them though and that is why I have carried on. Spent far too much but gave me something to buy during the quiet Wii U times.
I actually think Nintendo will stop making Amiibos soon and move on anyway as only a few did basic things in Yoshi's Crafted World.
If it does happen they will announce the next 3 Smash amiibos. Joker DLC available after direct and maybe more about Mario Maker. Animal Crossing will be revealed properly at E3.
I hope it isn't true as this will just confuse the general public and the Switch is still selling well after 2 years. The marketing is perfect so far.
I can see them updating the units internally which reduces costs etc... But I'd rather they wait til Switch 2 to improve the rest in a few years. At least see what PS5 and the next XBox bring before updating the hardware.
So you would rather buy the games again everytime there is a new Nintendo console til the end of time at say £3 a game? Rather than pay £18 for the year just so you 'own' them.
Day 1 for me and I'm 39 and already love this so-called 'Baybyish' Game. And yes it was easy but the demo was most likely level 1 of the game. Yoshi games do get harder as you progress. The only home console Yoshi game I have ever been disappointed with was Yoshi's Story on N64 but there was very little to collect in it and had no challenge at all.
I don't want a Switch mini and hope it doesn't materialise. If it has no dock so you can't play on TV, Joycons that are fused to the system so no table top play, then it isn't a Nintendo Switch and confuses the new sales audience once again.
Now a Switch without the dock that is advertised as a second system to compliment a household that already has a Switch and a dock is fine by me. Japan has it. Why not global for that?
@jtmnm I got my code a few weeks later. It was the same when I subscribed to the online service. Took a good few weeks to get the Splatoon outfits code.
SNES games are definitely coming. Even without Rumours or Datamining. It has always been on the cards. And the price will remain at £18 for the year. And the majority of people on Nintendo sites will still complain.... forever.
As usual I pay £18 a year to play Switch Games I own online. The rest they give us is to me, a bonus.
I already own NES and SNES minis. And have VC still on my Wii U. I have no need to rebuy games to 'own' them again.
I still expect the N64 mini to turn up at least a year before it hits the Switch Online Service too.
They will probably show the final smash surprise of the year so we have seen it all before we get to play it. The ridiculous coverage at E3, the directs and treehouses this year have pretty much spoilt the game.
Hoping I am wrong and we get Metroid 4 trailer though. Pretty Please Nintendo.
I picked it up from Sainsburys as they had the double up nectar points deal on last week so got it for free. Otherwise I wouldn't have paid full price for it.
Yoshi in it's current form reminds me of Yoshi's Story on N64. Which was ultimately lifeless and disappointingly short. I hope the final version is more in tune with Yoshi's Island and Wooly World.
When I picked up Mario Party at Smyths the 6 customers in front of me all picked up the fortnite console.... Hopefully that bundle sells well to extend the user base.
For those in UK living near Smyths it is worth doing the pre-order for collection on certain games as you get a fiver off too.
I'd like them to include the instruction manuals in the options.
I do find that the sound makes the odd crackling noise as if a wire isn't plugged in correctly when there is no music.
And the fact high scores are only saved if you create a save file is a bit lazy as could easily patch it so it saves seperately.
But a good start overall as to me it is a 'free bonus' as the subscription cost is so I can play Switch games online. Hope we get more games monthly and nintendo starts to tell us stuff beforehand.
I couldn't afford those at time -hoping to go to a future Zelda one too. I know it would give me goosebumps. I wish they toured the UK though as I'm in Newcastle. They always stick to London.

Lovely to see it in HD. If not an October release I hope it comes in December rather than miss this year.

Only 4 you can't pre-order yet in the UK, then the 5 dlc characters. Finally. The end is near.

Currently playing Super Mario Galaxy 2. Should finish it today in fact.
Re: The Next DLC Fighter For Smash Ultimate Will Be Revealed At Nintendo's E3 Direct
That's 5 mins of the 40 min direct then as they'll probably show some Smash amiibos too.
I just want a few surprises.
Re: Here Are Your Nintendo Switch Online NES Games For The Month Of June
Double Dragon 2 is a great game and one of my favourites I had on cartridge back in 1991. Yikes.
I expect the launch of SNES games to be in September on the Anniversary of the Online service.

Re: Pokémon Sword & Shield Are Being Developed With A Focus On Switch's Handheld Mode
Odd really. I didn't play Let's Go in TV mode because they wouldn't let me play it my way with the Pro Controller. So stuck to handheld.
This one will have to be something drastically different to get me to play a Pokemon game again. And have Pro controller support.

Re: Nintendo Celebrates The First Anniversary Of Super Mario Odyssey
Great game. Pure Nostalgia for me and although it took me til January I got 100%.
It seems a lot of people played each world til they had enough moons to move on to get to the end of the 'story' quickly.
I played each world til I couldn't get anymore Moons then moved on which made the game last much longer and be a more enjoyable experience.
I look forward to the sequel. I just hope the next 3d Mario is on the Switch too.
Re: Anniversary: Super Mario Bros. 3 Turns 30 Years Old Today
Remember buying this in 1991 at Beatties in UK as was released then in Europe.
My favourite NES game. Spent a good few hours on Switch Online service doing every level in every world the other week. Still a classic.
