Re: Poll: Have You Ever Had Problems With Nintendo Hardware?

dazzleshell

My wii u had issue with not enough power getting to it when switched on. Was launch model. Nintendo fixed it.

My 2 launch day pro controller dpads are still useless when playing certain games. Characters keep changing direction when up is pressed, either going right or left. Nintendo UK wants £34 per controller to fix them. They are still in denial about this known issue.

Re: Zelda: Link's Awakening Pre-Orders Updated With Extra Freebies On Nintendo UK Store

I recommend 'thegamecollection' too. Although you don't always get the game on release date. Yoshi arrived on a Saturday for example. But you get loyalty points you can use for money off a future order too.

Last month they did a 'Spend £80 get 10% off offer', not reported on this site though so I managed to pre-order Zelda for £36, Luigi for £36 and Ghostbusters for £21. I hope they do something similar in the future.

You get the ghost dog keyring with Luigi if anyone is after that.

Re: Astral Chain And Daemon X Machina Limited Editions Blast Onto The Nintendo UK Store

Yup nearly a week too late.

I do think when you post an article like this and then you find out it is sold out you should really just delete the article. As there's no real point in it being there.

Also might be worth all of the team signing up to the Nintendo Store email newsletters. So it can be posted on the day something is announced as being in stock. Or just the UK readers sign up to them.

Re: US Law Firm Opens "Switch Joy-Con Drift" Class Action Investigation

dazzleshell

@Yorumi I bought 2 pro's at launch. Both have the dpad issue. For anyone who hasn't noticed just try going up a vine in Super Mario Bros 2. If you have the issue you'll soon drift to the left or right and fall off. Or try Zelda 1/2 on the map screen.

I sent 1 controller into Nintendo and they denied all responsibilty. Even though I have the issue on both controllers and made them aware of it. They wanted to charge me £34 per controller to fix it.

I just got them to return it
I bought an 8bitdo pro which I will use on future dpad games.

As for JoyCons I don't appear to have the issue although I haven't played using them or in handheld mode since Let's Go in November.

Re: Guide: Nintendo Switch vs Nintendo Switch Lite: What Are The Differences?

dazzleshell

Couldn't be bothered to read all the comments but I'm happy there is a 2nd option that will hopefully allow those who play Switch only in handheld or have kids to have another option.

As a Switch owner it isn't for me and isn't really for the majority of people on here who already have a Switch I guess.

It still isn't a Switch though but name is better than 'mini'. And those expecting original Switch to get a price drop. That isn't going to happen. Maybe the odd £30 eshop credit or game bundle but no official price drop.

Re: Nintendo: It Would Be A "Disservice" To "Loyal Fans" To Release Animal Crossing In A Rushed State

dazzleshell

Shame they didn't delay Mario Tennis. I know it has been patched since but I'd already sold my copy within a couple of months of getting the game. Single player was definitely lacking a lot (even some animations/sound effects).

Now if only they could be bothered to improve Mario Party. Although they might be waiting for Switch Mini so they have to add in Pro Controller support at same time.

Re: Nintendo Moves Switch Manufacturing Out Of China, Two New Models Reportedly In Production

dazzleshell

If they are in production and possibly be replacing the older hardware Nintendo wouldn't announce it until near launch as they still need to sell their stockpile of the current model.

I still expect 1 to be very similar with just a shake up internally. I still don't understand the so-called Switch Mini as if Joycons can't be removed and it can't be docked then it is not a 'Switch'.

And moving some production from China most likely for the Units going to USA makes sense due to the heavy tarrifs on Chinese goods.

Re: Original Banjo-Kazooie Team "Pleased" About Duo's Return, But Unsure A New Game "Would Sell"

dazzleshell

The thing is...
If released on Xbox it wouldn't sell well. And would likely be an Xbox exclusive if developed by Rare. Which is unlikely now as Nuts and Bolts was badly received.

Microsoft just need to release Rare Replay on Switch really. Surely it doesn't need to be an exclusive anymore as has been out a few years.

Just repackage it as the Nintendo edition so it has games upto the Cube. And maybe Nintendo can help so we get their owned IP/Rare developed game like DK64 as well.

Re: Nintendo E3 2019: What Are You Hoping For?

dazzleshell

I'm a bit hyped but not expecting much.

Apart from what we know of if they just stick to 2019 release window...

Retro Studios Secret Game. DK 3D?
Metroid Prime Trilogy HD.
Rare Replay Nintendo Edition.
Pikmin 4
Super Mario Party Free DLC featuring more boards and characters.
SNES for Online Service officially announced to launch in September.

And at end a quick teaser for something coming in 2020. Maybe Odyssey 2.

Re: All Those amiibo On Your Shelf? You Can't Use Them In Super Mario Maker 2

dazzleshell

As I've said before it was pretty obvious by the lack of full Amiibo use in Yoshi's Crafted World that they are coming to the end of their lifecycle to 'unlock' stuff in games.

Once the Smash line up is complete that will be it for the figures. They do look good on my shelf though.

And as usual Nintendo don't owe us anything. People need to stop thinking they do.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Releasing Two New Versions Of Switch This Year

dazzleshell

I hope it isn't true as this will just confuse the general public and the Switch is still selling well after 2 years. The marketing is perfect so far.

I can see them updating the units internally which reduces costs etc... But I'd rather they wait til Switch 2 to improve the rest in a few years. At least see what PS5 and the next XBox bring before updating the hardware.
