Although if they did SMP Ultimate that might sway me.

I'd still prefer them not to do a Pro. Keep it simple for the general consumer with the Lite and normal Switch.

Don't do 4k and the rest until Switch 2 in 2023 at the earliest.

No. Just the limited release ones that are for an Anniversary only. Like this one.

So many comments. I'm not sure why people are so bothered by the topic of this 'so called' limited release game.

Nintendo will have a plan for them after March. Whether that is Mario 64 on the Switch Online N64 service launching in September 2021 or not I honestly couldn't care less.

There are hundreds of copies sitting on shelves at Game and CEX in the UK. Even Amazon has reduced the price to less than £40.

If you miss out then it's your fault. If you buy a Switch after March 31st there will be plenty in 2nd hand stores. And if you buy a Switch 2 in a few years and then can't find a copy well too bad. It's not the end of the world.

From April onwards Zelda's 35th Anniversary will take over and hopefully Metroids 35th Anniversary too. And if they do another limited release for that we'll have another 50+ articles and the same 1000+ comments repeating the same sh*te that this game has got.

Well it's Metroid's 35th Anniversary too so I expect the HD Zelda WiiU ports as 1 cartridge bundle (Twilight and Windwaker) and Metroid Prime Trilogy HD.

BOTW2 as the big November 2021 game.

Hope we get to see picture of his gaming set up with PS5 included at some point to see where he squeezed it in.

I might get one eventually but I'm not sure where to put it (due to it's size) and with it not being able to play 3D Blu rays, as I have many, I'm on the fence.

I used to own 7 of them but I no longer collect games. I sell them once finished.

The only 1 from the list I still have is Mario Kart as we won't be seeing mk9 til Switch 2.

I'm still surprised people went crazy for the 'limited' thing. The cartridge will still be in production til at least February.

My local Game, Smyths and CEX have shelves full of the game still with some reducing it to £45 and you don't get a good return now if you try trading it for cash either.

As the Switch is doing so well I just can't see this game holding it's value or making more even if you sell it a few years down the line. There will be too many copies out there.

I haven't bought it. I just hope for Zelda's 35th Anniversary next year they don't do a lazy compilation but we get a proper remaster/remake and of course, BOTW2.

I'd like to see the Turtles Arcade games on Switch but also the Konami TMNT console collection.

The fact that you can get the 2 arcade games from Smyths in a small child size arcade cabinet makes me wonder why they haven't come to consoles too?

I understand a full collection will probably never happen due to licensing but it would be great to play Snes Turtles In Time properly again.

Tbh. It doesn't mean it's for Switch Pro. Could just as easily be a revision for the current hardware if works out a cheaper cost to Nintendo. Which might allow them to reduce the price of the hardware further down the line or incorporate a 'free' game bundle instead.

Nintendo needs to keep Switch branding and do Switch 2, 3 and so on in the future.

I hope that 2021 can replicate 2017 in terms of a steady release of big first party games including BOTW2 -Get Nintendo to thrive even more with PS5/XBOX on the market.

Nope. Switch 2. Switch 3 and so on is the way forward. Hybrid business model is here to stay with Lite versions inbetween which will satisfy the portable only market.

They'd be stupid to drop the Switch branding and do something different in future.

Once I finish Rime I'll be jumping into this one. It would be great if they do extend it. Adding more Mario instalments into the mix.

So with software being digital I guess there goes the re-sell opportunity which would have made me consider buying this.

N64 will launch after March next year once 3D all stars has been removed from the eshop. Just hope we don't have to wait til September 2021.

Hopefully the next one will be Switch 2.

I've used Base many times and although I'm not getting this game I think if their Nintendo supplier can't guarantee their full pre-order amount they can't offer the cheaper price as they buy in bulk. So have had to cancel all orders as a result.

Also with the launch being so close to the direct this will have a knock on effect on the amount of units available to all shops, whether online or not.

Although Limited surely Nintendo will make more physical stock available in the run up to Christmas?

When N64 comes to the online service next year it will launch with Mario 64 as one of the first games. And there might still be a 64 mini in the pipeline.

This is also why it is limited to Mario's 35th Anniversary.

No doubt everyone will complain then too that they were tricked by the evil corporation known as Nintendo.

The only thing that might be a shame is that Super Mario Bros 35 is also limited til March as it looks like fun to play online.

I'm not buying it because it isn't a decent remaster. Wish Nintendo had redone them using the Odyssey engine with improved textures and all.

I still have my n64 and Cube versions so, although I haven't played them in 20 years I can do it the old fashioned way. And having finally played and completed Galaxy 2 last year I have no desire to replay 1.

As for the limited time. It makes perfect sense as it is for the 35th Anniversary.
I'm not fussed if Nintendo do it more often. If I want a game I'll just buy it on release. Limited Time or not.

Tbh. This is the type of lego sets that they should do. Even with Mario. Decent replication of Houses, Castles etc...

With the pandemic delaying a lot of 'unannounced' games this could work in Nintendo's favour.

Once PS5/X is out they will get the limelight but if Nintendo has a killer 2021 with loads of games releasing, akin to 2017 Launch year, we will all be happy and it will keep the sales of hardware going.

I still hope that after Pikmin 3 we get a big Xmas release this year. They might be holding off the rumoured Mario Collection to be released in same month as PS5/X once their release dates are announced.

Another reason why Nintendo should support Mario Party with DLC. We still need more boards, characters and mini games.
