Even as someone who has yet to play this series, I just know the replies will be filled with disgruntled fans that will claim that, with the exception of XII, the series went completely off the rocker after X.

@The_Nintendo_Expat I can assure you that I never wanted this, but I know plenty of Zelda fans did back at E3 2014, when that first Zelda U showcase dropped. The problem was, they didn't know what they actually wanted.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: Nintendo's open-world design peaked with Bowser's Fury and, to a lesser extent, the Xenoblade franchise. Everything else has fallen flat.

@The_Nintendo_Expat the thing is, the push for open-world, 200-hour experiences was so strong in the 2010's, especially the late 2010's, that there was no avoiding it back then. It's partly their fault, but it's also our fault for thinking that was the way the industry should go.

Sometimes I wish Skyward Sword had sold more copies while Skyrim was left in the ditch back in 2011.

@Nep-Nep-Freak that's the thing, though: no third-party offering back then was even remotely better than the Wiimote.

This game genuinely made me thankful for Fire Emblem Heroes, because while that game has its own problems, it at least understood the assignment by giving us actual strategic gameplay and likeable and memorable characters. Veronica alone has more personality than the entirety of this piece of slop.

As of right now, only the SMB Wonder DLC, FE18, and Splatoon Raiders interest me. Yoshi looks fine, but it also looks like a secondhand buy for me.

After this, I am fully expecting Zananab to show up. You know they'll do it.

@Robot99 I mean, Story and Touch & Go had some good stuff from Kazumi Totaka (even if he did a far better job with stuff like Link's Awakening and Animal Crossing New Leaf), and Wildlands from Island DS and Bandit Valley from New Island are personal highlights for me.

But, yeah, Yoshi music peaked with Wooly World for me (fyi, the composer also worked on Wario Land Shake It and Kirby's Epic Yarn).

@LazyDaisy personally, I disagree. I think SMW2 was one of Koji Kondo's weaker outings, even in comparison to SMW1, while Wooly World's soundtrack was something special for me.

That aside, I loved this game, and I don't care who disagrees.

@DoomGuyBFG that's usually the case with most of the mainline games and a few of the spinoffs. Sometimes, though, the extras (or, in some cases, the entire game itself) can be pretty tough. Be prepared for tense muscles whenever you see something that says "True Arena".

As a resident Kirby fan, I usually don't care about difficulty unless it hurts the game design or actively feels unfair, which, for me, is uncommon.

What I do care about is when I could be rid of Miles McKenzie.

Also, I think it would be appropriate to include the Super Famicom version of Star Stacker, since that is available in the West thanks to NS. . .I mean Nintendo Classics.

Once again, I must ask why the absolutely terrible pinball game is ahead of Star Allies.

Also, Return to Dreamland Deluxe and Air Riders higher, please.

@SalvorHardin do they need it, though? They're 8-bit games. They'd look like this in 240p.

Also, Of Myths And Monsters apparently never initially released in Japan, which is why it never gets referenced in anything.

I bought a copy on eBay less than 2 months ago, and. . .it really feels lackluster in comparison to New Leaf. It's still good, and better than New Horizons, but. . .eh. I think I'd even play Happy Home Designer over it.

I've never clicked on day one physical faster. This game will ensure that I keep my Switch 2 for the foreseeable future, even if everything else is lackluster, and I'm ok with that.

My personal picks:
Rhythm Boxing (though I prefer the sped-up Smash Bros rip)
Yoga
Hula Hoop (referred to as Super Hoop in Smash Bros and Hoop Dance in this app)
Step Plus/Advanced Step (one of my all-time favorite Nintendo songs. I am not even joking)
Skateboard Arena (Free Mode) (by far the most underrated of the bunch)

obviously, all of these are in Smash Bros, but that's just because Sakurai knew the good picks.

I've already expressed my opinions on this franchise multiple times on this site, but I do have a couple things to add:

1. I finally got the Wii version of Twilight Princess, so that and Majora's Mask 3D are all that stand between me and BOTW (I've decided to save FSA for a random later date).

2. Phantom Hourglass does not deserve a 7.9. Even with the Temple of the Ocean King, it was still a really solid entry with epic characters like Linebeck.

@Ralek85 oh, please, do not remind me. Even the old hats who saw the OT in theaters are annoying beyond belief.

Why would Samus say "the baby"? This takes place before Samus Returns.

Also, was Corruption really that annoying?

@PeterTomlan86 Polar Express also had some cringe-worthy motion capture and the annoying know-it-all kid. I'm obviously not knocking the movie down, as it is still one of my personal favorite Christmas films, but let's not pretend it was perfect, either.

@N00BiSH I want to disagree with this, but the more I think about it, you're kinda right. I think the biggest standouts for me were Kid Icarus Uprising, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I don't mind, though as long as they get the point across, especially when it produces epic memes like "I'm your mama?", "Haya Papaya", and "handling a man's turtle".

Also, Jenny Kidd as young Pauline was fine for me.

I'd rather see a remake of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.

finally, a good Animal Crossing soundtrack.

This isn't a franchise where framerate matters that much, but why are AC GCN and City Folk the only mainline entries that run at 60?

Never saw the point to this. When I got AC GCN last year, I didn't really care, and I didn't miss it in Wild World or New Leaf. It's a cool feature, but it's not practical in the slightest.

As someone who never grew up with Pokemon and whose only experience was that garbage 3DS F2P Rumble game, every new thing I hear about it makes me glad I made the decision to just completely write it out of my collecting habits (especially with those obscene prices).

I'm all for ownership and copyright (and I don't care if I get hate for that), but if this is what comes out of Steamboat Willie entering public domain, then give me more.

@Dalamar that's ironic, considering Canvas Curse (and Rainbow Curse, by extension) is widely considered by the Kirby community to be one of the worst games in the franchise (a sentiment I myself share).

After doing everything except 10 of the Vol. 2 gacha figures, I can safely say that there was no low point in the DLC. It was completely fun from start to finish. The problem is that it could've been $15. I normally don't criticize cost, since that's subjective, but Kirby Fighters 2, which was its own game, released 5 years earlier for $20 and had more to offer. Again, I don't regret my purchase, especially after the crazy lore drops (which I won't spoil). I just think I could've saved some cash if the price was a bit more reasonable.
