Both versions of Shadow Dragon, though I think I'll stick with the DS remake from here on out due to the MUCH faster pace (the original is still really good otherwise). Honest hot take: I prefer this over Blazing Blade, and it might end up being one of my favorites.

Sorry, but this game is still genuinely good, and I say that as someone who doesn't like the NES that much (even Mario 3 didn't hook me). It's simple, yes, but not to a fault. It doesn't include the extras from following games because it never needed them. It's about as pure as FE can get, and I love it for that. Obviously, the DS remake is better (in fact, that version might end up being one of my favorites), but this one is still worth it for the extra challenge and Marth being better in this version.

even though I have yet to play Twilight or Tears, the only one I got wrong was the Dark World one (could've sworn it was the Dark Mirror). That Tri Force Heroes one was a curveball, though.

If the GameCube controller adapter works, then they'll probably allow you to use it with the NSO app. Makes me glad I bought it.

I never cared about the screen quality, tbh. I mean, I still use a 3DS. I honestly felt that the OLED model was redundant for me.

@Atariboy GX will still have widescreen. All the N64 games that had widescreen allow you to switch. Nintendo just showed it in 4:3 because it's the default, similar to how they show the Game Boy games in barf green.

@ManaOwls I get the sentiment, but if you thought Nintendo was perfect before the Switch, you might wanna get a history book. The 3DS and Wii U era especially was abysmal. I love the 3DS, but it wasn't until halfway through the Switchs life that we saw how good it was because of how awful the 2010s were. 2016 was their worst year, period. The only thing I see wrong with this Direct are the new storage requirements and the continued use of NSO. Otherwise, Nintendo is still the same they were 40 years ago: making great new games we will cherish for years to come. At the end of the day, it's the games that matter.

Better start saving.
