@Erigen New Island wasn't that bad. For the most part, it was calm bassa nova with the occasional kazoo. I even have Bandit Valley on my Top 1000 playlist.

Actually, I think WW GCN is better than WWHD. I don't like the bloom, the Tingle Tuner being replaced with a dumb Miiverse feature that no longer works is, well, dumb, and I didn't mind the slow sailing or Triforce quest.

I say all of this as someone who usually prefers the rerelease of a given game (i.e. Skyward Sword HD).

Finally hopping on that Pikmin train with the first game. Also Samus Returns. That too.

And Double Dash having better music? GameCube games in general had mediocre soundfonts imo (save Metroid Prime and Kirby Air Ride), and even the remixes are just kinda ok.

@DaGoldenBoo a version of 2 with the updates 3 got would still be worse than 3 is now. 2 has the worst meta and slowest gameplay of the three, largely in part because of its shooter bias and dog water special design. It also has the worst net code and the weakest base single player. Outside of Octo Expansion, I've avoided 2 like the plague ever since I got 3.

@CrazedCavalier I think this comment is a good explanation as to why Fates was, is, and always will be the worst Fire Emblem game. It doesn't matter that Conquest has phenomenal gameplay if the game went out of its way to make the cast insufferable.

Also, I already saw your comments on Echoes, but unless you're a map geek, I can safely say that game was a solid remake.

@awp69 it's not artificial. The Switch 1's CPU click speed is too low. There's a reason every GCN game on Switch 1 is a port or remake.

@valharian on the contrary, Fire Emblem Heroes made me glad Tour got rid of the gacha. It's so hard trying to get anyone you even remotely like in that game, even if you're a die-hard fan.

In all seriousness, though, that's actually unfortunate. This is what happens when you try to develop a game in a mere 13 months.

Honestly, at this point, the only titles I want them to localized are FE4 and Mother 3. I've heard way too many negative comments on FE3/12 (the existence of Kris and the FE1/11 slander), FE5 (the jank), and FE6 (Roy being awful and the story being wack), and no other Japanese title interests me--not even the Frog game, despite the impact it had on Links Awakening.

So I put down WL4, but I've finished with that now and am now considering whether I should blaze through Zero Mission, Super Metroid, and Metroid Fusion in that order, or finally beat Majora's Mask.

I honestly find it insulting that this list has Mother 3 but not Fire Emblem: the Binding Blade. If you're gonna include Japanese-only releases, go all the way; otherwise, don't bother.

BET. Can't wait to binge Street Fighter and Fatal Fury/King of Fighters with this.

Played this on Rare Replay, and it's probably the weakest Killer Instinct. Still good, mind you, but the N64 was not built for fighting games, and it shows.

And this is coming from someone who loves SSB64.

I honestly don't care. To me, Animal Crossing is on the weaker end of Nintendo franchises, and even if I did care, Wild World and New Leaf are far more appealing than New Horizons will ever be.
