Re: Review: Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (Wii U)

Without a doubt, one of the worst in the series, down there with Pinball Land and Drum Dash Deluxe. The fact that this was the only Kirby game on Wii U shows that HAL saw the writing on the wall for the console before anyone else did.

@cvrator I understand that. I love gaming history, and I give credit where credit is due, but that doesn't mean I have to unwillingly love and cherish every game I play, old or new. I know the importance of LTTP, and it may have been a 10/10 game in 1992, but when weighed against the rest of the franchise, it's not one of my favorites to go back to. Keep in mind, this is from someone who still has Super
Mario World in their top 30 games of all time (which is a high bar, given how many I've played).

As someone who bought FH5 Early Access when it came out and sunk dozens of hours into it, I'm long past the point of playing it again, but I would recommend it to anyone interested. The only issues I and others had were the corny story and (to an extent) the base game world map (even then the desert and volcano areas were, heh, PEAK). I'd also recommend the DLC, as the Hotwheels and rally races were very fun.

@ClickBrick the thing is, though, those "distinct" features ended up not being very useful. Streetpass is somehow less useful than amiibo outside of Streetpass Mii Plaza (and even then, you can just grind Play Coins and buy your way through every game in the plaza), and the only games that actually used the Gamepad in meaningful ways were Nintendo Land (a launch title), Game & Wario (a mid game), Splatoon (a dead game with Switch sequels), and Color Splash (another mid game), not counting DS VC (just use your 3DS at that point). The Labo kits were more useful, tbh.

Re: Feature: Switch 2's Mouse Support Is Exciting, But Which Current Games Might Also Benefit?

@Banjo- after the double bombshell of Nintendo Switch Sports and Mario Strikers Battle League in 2022, plus Splatoon 3s declining popularity, I don't think Nintendo will ever go back to rushing games and free content updates. In addition, rarely in Nintendo's history have they ever rereleased a game you could already play it on. The NPC series was done for people who didn't want a bunch of GameCube gear hooked up to their Wii, and TPHD was a special scenario. I'm not defending Wii Sports Club or Bowsers Inside Story + Bowser Jrs Journey, as those had absolutely no excuse, but otherwise, nothing Nintendo has ever done would lead me to believe they would ever rerelease Switch games on Switch 2.
