Haha, nope. The only Mario Sports game that holds any value for me right now is Hoops 3-on-3.

None of these Mario sports games seem worth my time since the GameCube days sadly, Wii sports was an exception but also free. Seems like they just don’t put the effort in anymore.

Nah I'm not into the Mario sports games. If I get the urge to play Mario Tennis, I'll just boot up the N64 one

I'm not really into Sports games, and Mario Kart will always be the go-to for parties, so this'll be a pass from me.

Let's be honest as a mostly single player person Im still going to get it, I liked the last one, I liked the golf game. They have flaws and I probably won't play 200 hours or whatever but thats ok.

This game is $99.99 in Canada. No way am I buying that. Mario Sports games are typically $50, and even then, sometimes that's a bit of a stretch. The OG Switch Tennis was fine and it plays perfectly on the Switch 2. The new Indiana Jones game isn't even this much - get over yourselves, Nintendo.

Too many great games to spend time on an "pretty good" one.

Just got a bonus at work so I might actually pick it up. Looks really fun.

The gist I get from browsing reviews is that it's not got a lot going for it if you're not going to be playing multi-player, so I'll probably leave it.

It looks really cool, and is probably a blast. But $99.99 CAD for a Mario sports game is far too hard to justify.

The price… lol… and since it’s a Nintendo game, it will NEVER be sold at a tolerable price.

I have it preloaded. I had a decent, though brief time with Aces, I still like to occasionally play the N64 game on Nintendo Classics, and I remember liking Open on 3DS. A review I’ve read seems to imply that the brief Adventure Mode can still be a good time, but regardless, I expect the pick-and-up-play nature of Mario Tennis to deliver once again.

Not even with a sale, even $40-50 for this is a stretch.

Ok 70 bucks, if i play the game 10 hours thats like 7 bucks an hour, besides a new book not much else I can do cheaper. As chris Pratt says Let's Go!!!

I’m so tired of these Mario Sports games. It used to be cool when they all had special abilities with cutscenes. It made it so much more fun. I’m honestly burned out on these games. Sometimes they try to be wacky and fun, sometimes they try to be like the real thing and too realistic. Sometimes they’re neither here nor there. This time I’m voting with my wallet. Pass.

I really have no interest in the Mario sports games. Not even Mario Kart. If I'm going to play a Mario game, it's going to be from the Super Mario series.

I would only get Fever if it was free, which will never happen. I'm over Aces, and Fever doesn't look interesting. All the fever racquets looks overwhelming too.

From the console’s launch, Bananza seemed like a mission statement of offering a fresh, déjà vu free cycle of titles on the switch 2. So when this and so many Switch 2 editions became what to expect, my illusions were gently shattered.

Hands down the most over iterated franchise in Nintendo’s library. Jesus give basketball a try again or something.

Got it preordered, though being fair that's in large part because 1), I never got around to getting the last one, and 2), my roommate wanted to go half-and-half on it. If I already had the last one or had to pay full price I'd probably be a lot more hesitant.

Not at $70. The days of paying full price at launch for every 1st party Nintendo game just because it’s a 1st party Nintendo game, is over for me. I’ll likely pick this up at some point, but it’ll need to be on sale enough where I feel the price is worth the value of the product. It’s an important time to start sending company’s a message as consumers.

I buy most first party games on launch day but the sports titles just aren’t for me. This looks cool though

But again, I’m sorry for infuriating you for saying I’d like to wait for a sale. I forget how upset I make people when I say something so outrageous. 😔😔

I really wanna have a more positive opinion on Mario Tennis, considering I used to love actual Tennis and my first experience with Mario Tennis... was Ultra Smash. Which, at the time was pretty ok, but looking back... uh. Yikes.

I'll definitely pick it up sometime this year. Maybe in August when some (or hopefully, most) of the inevitable free post-launch updates come out. I'm looking forward to actually enjoying a Mario Tennis game!
(and before you say anything, no i will not play the N64 game on NSO)
