Re: Shinobi: Art Of Vengeance Switch Resolution Update Now Available

Zeebor15

@RupeeClock I'm not sure on the DLC pamphlet situation as I've never imported a game that would have had one, but I imagine not one way or the other as the entire reason SEA gets so many physicals is because many if the nations don't have digital store fronts on their consoles still. Parappa's PS4 remaster even got a physical release in Asia because of this. With a brand new cover by Rodney himself.

As for why I go for SEA over Japanese, SEA copies are also always guaranteed to have English localization on them, even being in fully English packaging sometimes, and are typically cheaper over all depending on the current exchange rate. The USD is... about to be near worthless on the international stage, but right now it still has buying power over the Philippino Peso

Re: Game-Key Cards A "Sales Strategy Decision", Says Resident Evil Requiem Director

Zeebor15

Capcom is a paradox of a company. They're willing to do these lavish Legacy Collections that are some of best physical builds on the market for their older titles, but they are second only to Microsoft in their customer apathy as they speed, screaming to digital only distribution for their modern games.

And again, FF7 4-6 director can only speak for his own game. Literally no other game Square-Enix has released on Super Switch comes close to the resource hogging size and loading times of 7 part 4

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Director Highlights The Speed Problem With Switch 2 Game Cards

Installing directly onto the drive isn't the issue. Its something other consoles have been dealing with since the PS4. It's the fact that, as he frames it, it's the ONLY option available for direct install, where the cartridge is a glorified eShop coupon that will stop working in 10-15 years (if we live that long) that grinds the gears. Installing wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't soddered to the Internet and that flimsy, shovelware filled eShop in particular.

Re: Aspyr Brings Deus Ex Remastered To Switch Next February

Zeebor15

@UndockedActionFemme The one good thing about Aspyr is that if you just wait till right after the Josh pre-orders close, an actually affordable retial copy that will be released on time will he announced distributed by Aspyr themselves. It's literally the only plus they have over Nightdive, because Wade keeps sub-contracting them to Aspyr's cousin that even Aspyr hates working with.

@Elbow @Wewewi @Thomystic @TomSupreme @Alex79uk They're Embracer's most consistent profit generator now, and certainly less of a liability than the overbloated Eidos teams themselves. I will admit, most if not all of Embracer's really good porting teams either left with Saber, or were Shiver (Soon to be Nintendo Miami), but Aspyr are competent enough, and they're free. I'm not saying they're the best, but they don't have to pay a sub-contracting fee to Atari.

Re: Nintendo Of America Reportedly Cuts Loose Customer Service Contractors As It Looks To Outsource

Zeebor15

Contractors are already outsourcing under US law, and have about as many employment protections as the sweatshops abroad.

As always, I blame this on Doug Bowser's intimate knowledge of how EA works, and way too friendly relationship with Microsoft, but this is nothing new. Nintendo wins for a generation, grows arogant in the next. Gets humbled aggressively, pulls a hail Mary too get themselves back to top while being consumer friendly again, and once back on top go right back to screwing people over.

Every year, Xenoblade 3 becomes a little more cosmicly hilarious

Re: Round Up: Every "Exciting New Game" From The Acclaim Showcase

Zeebor15

All of the Acclaim Sports games are owned by Throwback or Piko. It is to my understanding that none of Acclaim's IP are owned by this, which is less than can be said about Accolade as it at least stayed mostly together as one lump as it got passed back and forth from Atari yo Billionsoft and back again
