Re: Street Fighter 6's Switch 2 Version Declared Tournament Legal By Capcom

Zeebor15

If there's one thing i hate more than the fast fashion disposablity of digital only games, its the continuing commercialization of the FGC. What used to be a wholesome collection of weebs playing Mahvel in a hotel lobby (with BlazBlue in the bathroom) has now become a seriess hyper sterilized, aggressively blue, extended commercial for the same 6 items over and over again.

It's the weird middle-ground we're stuck in that I hate: too commercial to have soul, not commercial enough to have some $&#+ VARIETY in the ads. I watch 30 minutes of Guulty Gear pools and I've already seen the same stupid add for overpriced monitors 5 times

Re: Capcom Is Recording Switch 2 Game-Key Card Purchases As "Digital Sales"

Zeebor15

@Spaceman44 No, that's still Microsoft. Xbox has gone all digital on their home turf, and won't tell people if a game on PlayStation is the actual game or a license check only. Key Cards may be only one step above Denovu on Steam in terms of lack of Consumer rights, but at least Nintendo is forcing publishers to be honest about it.

In fact, this forced honesty may be why we're still getting codes in boxes anyway. Much like cigarettes to vaping, Key cards are all forced to have the same big white disclaimer, while the code in boxes have no such standardization (yet) meaning The Three Presidents can hide the disclaimer in the background where it wont be noticed by the general, tech iliterate consumer

Re: Splatoon Raiders, A New Splatoon Spin-Off, Is Confirmed For Switch 2

Zeebor15

Embracing the term "Spin-off" tells me this will be a seperate exe from Splatoon 3, similar to Torna. We can only hope that it gets a proper, seperate release, cause I don't want to pay $80 for Splatoon 3 Again with an extra story mode.

Xenoblade X is the only time I'm going through that, cause I doubt Splatoon 3 will sure me the true form of Heaven's Light.

Also, you guys get notifications from Nintendo Today?

Re: Classic Atari 2600 Title 'Adventure' Is Being Revived As A Metroidvania

Zeebor15

If we can't call it a sequel or remake then we need to start normalizing calling things "the Xenoblade X to (game) instead.

Also, this was originally a Kickstarter called Towers of Samsara that failed. Good for Illex for getting it made, but any references to the original search action game will probably feel tacked on.

Wonder if Wade will day and date the physical, or delay it some months like Breakout and Power Rangers

Re: Poll: With One Week To Go, What Are Your Switch 2 Launch-Day Plans?

Zeebor15

At present the Super Switch is the worst console since the Xbox One with an almost entirely digital only launch line-up, and more * and conditions to even boot the thing up than a car loan. I will be buying Rune Factory and Armored Core 7 to support Marvelous USA for being the only good third party publisher left (still no clue on who to credit Cyberpunk too since CDP doesn't do their own printing and distro) but I see no purpose to the Super Switch at this time.

Re: Hellblade Looks To Be Getting A Limited Run Physical Switch Release

Phil Spencer has successfully trained the Xbox audience to expect only the worst customer service. Either they get a game key disc at Walmart, or they have to play the two year long game of darts that is waiting to see if your LRG package even shows up.

Things can't get any better. They only get worse and then you die.

Re: Fortnite Devs Hit With Unfair Labour Practice Filing Following AI Darth Vader Fiasco

Zeebor15

I feel like SAG has no right to represent a dead man. Though I thought it was a bad idea at the time, Jones saw the writing on the wall and was simply too old to bother fighting what would happen following his passing whether he wanted to or not. At least this way his family gets paid (supposedly).

Plus, Fortnite is a non-union project to begin with. The ads have voice acting, but the characters are as silent as Kirby in game... unless the Rock Band mode somehow countsz but that's the ICA, not SAG

Re: Nintendo Has "No Plans" To Use Game-Key Cards For First-Party-Developed Titles

Zeebor15

@Magician Microsoft, EA, Take-Two, and Ubisoft may be large sections of the industry, but they aren't the entirety. More and more distributors have been popping building their entire sales pitch on "physical ownership cause you can't trust LRG" Red Art, iam8bit, the expansion of U&I. Meanwhile, I've been seeing a bunch of people STOP buying Microsoft games, most notably the one you listed, because it's just gotten to the point of being pure insult.

The only people who want consumers to think it's the standard are companies who hate the consumer.
