Re: Furukawa's Defence Of Game-Key Cards Ain't All That Convincing

Zeebor15

This just shows that Furakawa and the engineers only listened to the AAA teams, and not the mid-range boys that most of Japan is, meaning they listened mostly, if not exclusively, to the Americans. As an American, that is the worst possible way to do anything. The only thing we're good at is lying on camera.

Re: Shadow Labyrinth Is 4K/60 On Switch 2, Free Upgrade Available From Switch 1

@SillyG I'm the one who hates Game-Key cards and digital releases the most, but even I think that's an over reaction. This is a full 2D game from the designers of Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. Even with the framerate-tism that seems to only impact PC onlies typically, I fail to see any visual bumb is going to be anything other than negligible at best.

@Polvasti People keep sighting that Wii provision the EU made them keep open, but they never mention just how restrictive that actually is. The re-download is only triggerable for THE CONSOLE, and outside of the Wii to U migration there's no way to get the actual games to move machines. You can't back up, let alone merge libraries. They are just THAT machine: and as we've all be well aware since the 2600 - consoles go way faster than the games themselves

Re: Arc System Works Announces New Interactive Adventure For Switch 2

If you're looking at that and going "Huh. So that's what Hotel Dusk would look like in HD?" that's on purpose.

The Unika leak had a game with a "projected time to beat of less than an hour." From a creative standpoint, yes there's only so much you can do with no dialogue so of course the story's short: but from a business perspective why would you make such a game platform exclusive in the first place?

Cause it's a test of the tech you plan on using for a much BIGGER game that is in an IP OWNED by that game platform.

Of course, this game existing on it's own could also mean the exact opposite: Arc put a bunch of R&D money into pitching Kyle Hyde Duology HD, and this is them trying to recoup cost after it got rejected.

It can really go either way. It's 2 hours past my bed time, and the sleeptpills may be making me a tad delusional

Re: Drag X Drive Switch 2 eShop Price Revealed

@nhSnork This isn't retail, this is download. What you go on to list are streaming services, which are even more clearly just imperminent rentals.

The problem isn't digital distribution as AN OPTION. The problem is the companies want to pad their margins by making it THE ONLY option, and streaming services are even less ownership from there. Because it's all about finding ways to train the consumer to aceept not actually owning anything.

Re: Nintendo Confirms The Release Date For Drag X Drive On Switch 2

@Polvasti @Bigmanfan You think someone as violently hostile about the boiling frog that is the death of physical media and consumer rights WOULDN'T get the cartridge copy with everything on on it?

Plus, if any series is deserving of $80 price for game, even only half of one, it's Kirby. Kirby is perfection. Kirby is worth it. Not like that boring red jerk who can't even bother to put a collectibles checklist in his nothing of a single-player mode

Re: Legendary Fighting Dev Is Hosting Its Own 'Direct' Later This Week

Is it offensive to say I hate Bridget not only because Bridget players are annoying and aggravating to play against, but because (honestly Ive lost track of which pronoun is correct anymore) become the face of the franchise somehow despite being as important to the plot as Meat is to Mortal Kombat.

Also, new Jake Hunter and Bogey Manor please.
