Re: A New Tomb Raider Entry Has Leaked Ahead Of The Game Awards

So Flying Wild Hog have been working on an FF7 Remake of TR1 since they finished that Jagex thing? Well good to see some synergy is still around. And we get to finally officially see Classic Lara's polygons in 4K, though I bet /v/ is already complaining about them being too small.

Also, hate that Amazon Game Studios logo. With ALL of my hate

Re: Netflix "Didn't Attribute Any Value" To Warner Bros. Games In Acquisition Deal

Best of a bad situation "Atari purchases Netherrealm, Mortal Kombat, and all other IP from Netflix for an undisclosed amount of nickles in a burlap sack, and a bottle of Merlot. TT games to go independent"

Much more likely horrible tbing to happen under current corruption "Skydance Paramount announces new Mortal Kombat game along with tournament circuit. 105% of all proceeds to go towards the IDF. TT to act as support studio on new Harry Potter game about killing 'desert wizards hiding in hospitals' after loss of Lego license after CEO remarks on toy giant being 'kinda gay.'"

Re: Netflix Enters Agreement To Buy Warner Bros. For $82 Billion, Includes Game Studios

Netflix was the neutral option: just the same bad things continuing to happen. Skydance Paramount is the bad one: things immediately getting much much worse. The REAL bad sign though was that COMCAST were the GOOD Option.

We can only hope that, in the confusion, a lion's share of the gameinf assets somehow end up at Wade Rosen's Atari (though now I'm remembering that his brother is the head of games at Nickelodeon, under Paramount, and my mind is putting two and two together and-)

Oh.

Oh no

@Henmii Well of you ask /v/ the second attempt wasn't much to look at either ba-dum-tish

Clearly, they just want the studio as an assest grunt work factory (1-Up, Monolithsoft Kyoto) and as a way of getting a pre-set up office space for the new SEA branch because corporate real estate in Singapore is &#$+# to find

Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Credits Reveal A Plethora Of Assist Devs, Including Next Level Games

AMC?! That can't be either of the two I'm thinking of. And Virtuous seems like a risky choice for Nintendo considering how leaky they are. I'm surprised we didn't know anything about them wokeing on this beforehand.

I'm also just plain shocked they let Samus has yet another new actress, though it could just be two lines like the Spanish newscaster did in Dread: one line of Chozo and the Screaming wrath of 1000 vengeful furies

Re: Nintendo To Acquire Bandai Namco Studios Singapore As A Subsidiary

Weren't these the guys what were rumored to be making Prime 4 originally till they biffed it?

I think this also means Nintendo just bought an IP, cause I think their one developed game was explicitly stated as "copyright Bandai Singapore"

EDIT: Hirogami! Published by Kakeshi Games, of all entities, the game's legal does state that ""© 2024 Bandai Namco Studios Singapore Pte. Ltd." Ironically, this game is on everything, BUT Nintendo. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3135840/Hirogami/
