@jetsetradion Nintendo builds in plenty of overhead of everything (the new amiibo were overpriced before the El Presidente boost) they don't need to charge for online. They just do because we let them get away with it
@jetsetradion Cause it's still free on PC and Activision Wii games. If it takes so lottle effort to maintain servers that Activision can just FORGET they're still running servers nogh on 20 years later, clearly it isn't that taxing.
Plus, Nintendo online had long been derided as the worst of the five. I'm not one to respect the opinions of PC gamers, but i have to defer to them as the experts on this particular subject
@RoboCube Only if the publisher is a cheap git like Ubisoft or Microsoft. I've been seeing this parroted alot and i think people are conflating "install" with "download." All PS games since the 3 have had to install, but the "day 1 patch that's most if the game" is a cost saving measure used only by the over-produced, anti-consumer, made to he disposable annually garbage.
Well that's a... good sign? At least for cheap weirdos like me who are more interested in the C-Tier weirdos like Famicom Detective Club that don't NEED the power of the Super Switch to work. (No MAGES game has ever required more than a 360 level of power.)
One of these days ill start fulling out my Nintendo CD collection, but I'm not sure how badly El Presidentes scheme to (throws dart) destroy small businesses will increase the shipping costs
@Toastmaster Phil wants to kill physical games. More than that, he and Microsoft are part of the plan to kill the consumer ownership as a concept. They want everything to be through a subscription and constant internet status. So that everything is only on their terms. They're influence is why we have Key Cards.
I don't know why people thought amiibo would end with Sora. I mean, we got Xenomiino RIGHT after. Of course there were always plans for amiibo to continue. Why would anyone think they wouldn't.
Also, though I will always refuse to play Breath of the Ubisoft or Tears dor Fears for religious reasons, I do like the Construct. I don't know who or what Mineru is (though with context from the Hyrule Warriors 3 trailer i fan assume it's one of those "Zohai" things I keep hearing about) but I like the Construct. He seems like a lad.
I don't think THQNordic is quite back up to where they can pick up scattered IP again quite yet, and any auction environment is liable to price Piko right out. I don't even know if Throwback still exists outside of LLC documents.
So really the story should say "Revived Atari brand Infogrames buys Tequila Works IP, including unfinished games"

@Dee123 I believe they over pay for glorified rentals, so when's it's something even they won't pay for i know it's overpriced
