@UndockedActionFemme The one good thing about Aspyr is that if you just wait till right after the Josh pre-orders close, an actually affordable retial copy that will be released on time will he announced distributed by Aspyr themselves. It's literally the only plus they have over Nightdive, because Wade keeps sub-contracting them to Aspyr's cousin that even Aspyr hates working with.
@Elbow @Wewewi @Thomystic @TomSupreme @Alex79uk They're Embracer's most consistent profit generator now, and certainly less of a liability than the overbloated Eidos teams themselves. I will admit, most if not all of Embracer's really good porting teams either left with Saber, or were Shiver (Soon to be Nintendo Miami), but Aspyr are competent enough, and they're free. I'm not saying they're the best, but they don't have to pay a sub-contracting fee to Atari.
Someone explain to me what makes these two different versions of 3 specifically the ones to remake when, as far as I understand it, Dynasty Warriors and Romance of the Three Kingdoms are slightly updated re-dos of the same story every time
I think we need to start applying the Josh Fairhurst rule to everything Level-5 does: everytime they announce something, expect it to release 7-18 months later than when they say it will.
Contractors are already outsourcing under US law, and have about as many employment protections as the sweatshops abroad.
As always, I blame this on Doug Bowser's intimate knowledge of how EA works, and way too friendly relationship with Microsoft, but this is nothing new. Nintendo wins for a generation, grows arogant in the next. Gets humbled aggressively, pulls a hail Mary too get themselves back to top while being consumer friendly again, and once back on top go right back to screwing people over.
Every year, Xenoblade 3 becomes a little more cosmicly hilarious
Square-Enix can churn out second party remakes and HD-2D experiments like government censorship regulations, but ask them to do anything in-house that isn't adding stuff to the MMO and their slower than Congress passing a bill that would benefit society as a whole.
They're actually using the Mighty Rabbit logo again, which is what Josh's development company was called and LRG originally founded as a tax shelter to publish the games mostly as gag gifts.
Maybe it says more about the people I talk to, but I never saw anyone say anything bad about the gameplay. They all thought the combat and level design was fine, best in the series even.
@Dimjimmer Star Ocean keeps getting remakes because tri-Ace needs the work. Yhis looks like... Tose. Maybe this is meant to be an easy make-up for the flop of Foamstars. (and I liked Foamstars)
@Dimjimmer But why not PORT that instead like Ace Attorney and Dream Drop Distance. Why remake everything from scratch, when that money could be going GEX 4?
Also, editor person, a version for Xbox and Base Switch (with actual 7 gig cartridge) has been confirmed
I'm guessing that Japanese Virtual Bowling is what Nester was based off of, but they still OWN Nester, so why not just use his version? Is that one of the few ROMs they lost?
Also, is that the entire library minus Waterworld?
What the heck would amiibo do in 2 Wii Roms anyway? More retcons to Rosalina lore to make her more in line with whatever backstory Illumination will give her?
I also do not look forward to pating $40 for a Susie amiibo
All of the Acclaim Sports games are owned by Throwback or Piko. It is to my understanding that none of Acclaim's IP are owned by this, which is less than can be said about Accolade as it at least stayed mostly together as one lump as it got passed back and forth from Atari yo Billionsoft and back again
Still not a leak, Nate. There's always a direct right before TGS in the second week of September. The only question is the date, and you were flip-floppy on- OH DEAR GOD IT'S HUGE!
The story of Bubsy is a story of never giving up even when everyone else says you really REALLY should. It would almost be heart-warming if it didn't involve Josh Fairhurst
That's the first I've heard of this $23 a peice price tag. Before Im pretty sure our logic was $13. Is this confirmation of "Just how bad things really are?"
@CaleBoi25 I use religion and ethics interchangeably because religion is just ethics times people, and I like to tell myself there's other people out there with the same esoteric ethical hang-ups as me.
@CaleBoi25 A game that's "crash the Steam servers" huge like Hollow Knight 2, and has been sitting in the pot for so long should have a day and date physical release, or at least have it's physical date revealed alongside it. I get that Cherry is on the smaller side, but that didn't stop Yacht Club, dangit!
As someone who hates Hollow Knoght for religious reasons, I am putting my full backing behind Adventure Chronicles X; knowing that it is destined to fall FLAT ON ITS FACE
The physical is sold out of all the import sites because Sega started trying to block sales; suspected as part of an anti-compete in LRG'S license. Of course they can't STOP import sites fully, wonmy question is: do you think import sites will get new stock first, or should I just suck it up and wait for the LRG version to show up at VGP next year?
The cope in the Atari circles is that this spin-off (which I'm surprised no marketing for this ever just calls it that. This has about as much to do with Adventure as Battle Network does with X and we still call those Mega Man games.) will see a boost once it goes to retail. Now that Atari has Thunderfull, they SHOULD be able to get a box out quicker than iam8bit will for Hollow: considering iam8bit's calendar is backlogged to June

What they hated was that they de-gayed Bayonetta.
