Re: Soapbox: 20 Years Later, Why Do We Still Not Have A New Sonic Battle?

Vexx234

@Nintendo4Sonic That's not the reception it had at all. Upon release the game received mixed to positive reviews from critics.

Many reviews actually complimented the game on it' s deep arena style gameplay. And fun multiplier.

The major complains were mostly due to the limited movesets.

It's actually a fun and addicting little game. Just recently last year, modders have finally managed to break the game and add custom characters and movesets.

Im sorry you didn't like the game, but the your reception of it doesn't match the actual reception of the game from critics.

It sits at 69 on metacritic for whatever that's worth since people value that sites score for some odd reason. If you round it up that's a solid 7. User Score sits at 8.0

Re: Shadow Sneaks Into View In 'Sonic The Hedgehog 3' Image Tease

Vexx234

@Lizuka That may be true, but personally I was never a fan of Shadow even back then. I blame this on Sega for making the character the way he is.

Still though, I'm not a fan of modern Sonic's adventures anyways. Metal Sonic may not say anything, but for me he's more memorable than Shadow will ever be.

While it's pipe dream at this point, I still hope for a day classic Sonic gets his own animated show set in his original world.

Re: Skater XL Finally Sticks A Switch Release Date

@JackieCMarlow If these were the graphics in the ps2 days, alot of kids would be screaming how realistic it looks.

Heck, I still recall how God of War 2 pushed the limits of the ps2.

Shadow of the Colossus (My favorite game ever imo)
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Kingdom Hearts II
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
And a few more.

Devs really pushed the PS2 to absolute limits.

If the PS2 was even capable of this level of detail for the mentioned in the article, jaws would've dropped for sure. Heck, 360/PS3 might've already reached One/Ps4 graphics, and today we would be 12k 300 fps gaming.

You take a day off work, do a little grocery shopping, buy a few candles; Come home, prepare dinner, then get yourself all fancied up. Oh yeah, this evening is going to be one to remember.

After a candlelight dinner, it's time to head into the bedroom. Get undressed, turn off lights, hop in bed, and fire up some Goldeneye 64.

It's going to be a long night.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Super Mario RPG?

Vexx234

@PharoneTheGnome I can't speak for you or this game as I haven't played it yet, but I can understand.

Zelda: Link's Awakening is one of my favorite handhelds. I play it once every year or so. Despite the remake existing. I still find myself enjoying the old game.

My reasoning is while graphically the remake is treat, it's just a 1:1 copy of the GB game. I'm basically paying full price for an old game with a new coat of paint.

I wish Nintendo would do more with these remakes than just staying so faithful to the original to the point, I might as well just replay the original.

@Vyacheslav333 I did say ADDED bonus. At their core, fighting games are a multiplayer experience.

It's great that more studios are enriching their games with content that expands their universes. But, at it's heart, it's designed with competition in mind. The vast majority play these games because they like to compete with each other.
