Re: Two First-Party Switch 2 Ratings Have Been Spotted

Really looking forward to both those games, especially Fire Emblem. Kinda hoping Fortunes Waeve has the social and sim elements from Three Houses but keeps the character presentation from Engage, found the character designs of Three Houses to be a little dull.

Although they could be quite ambitious and have an open world type of game where you explore a map and hit enemies to start a fight. Think Shadows of Valentia but on a bigger scale, don't know if that's been done before with fire emblems style of combat.

Re: Hands On: Pokémon Champions Promises Top-Tier Battling, But At What Cost?

@Fighting_Game_Loser According to Pokémon it's going to be the main pvp platform going forward.

VGC will transition to Pokémon Champions as the standard platform for all competitive matches with its launch on the Nintendo Switch systems on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

So what would be the point including a pvp mode in the main games going forward?

Re: Investor Who Urged Nintendo To Monetise Mario's Jumps Acquires Shares In Kadokawa

@-wc- I see the two Pokémon versions as a way to encourage trading, something that's been a staple with pokemon since the beginning. Even now if you have no friends to trade with there's Pokémon Home so you can trade with randoms. Pokémon was always meant to be an handheld focussed game, where you can take it out with you and catch pokemon, battle and trade with friends, the two versions just add more substance to this.

People say it's down to greed and that Nintendo know people will buy both versions just because it's Pokémon, but Nintendo did it with the first Pokémon games, a time where Pokémon wasn't even an household name back then. It's just a tradition that's stuck.

Re: Xbox Announces Next Generation Console, Will Play "Xbox And PC Games"

UltimateOtaku91

Seems to me some of the Xbox fans aren't happy with this, they know it's basically a PC and developers will just create PC versions of games without the usual console optimisation that console gamers prefer. It's the main reason console gamers prefer consoles over PC, the simple layout and the ease of use. If this is priced at £1000+ then I'm sorry but it's DOA and will be the worst selling Xbox "console" to date.

Even more so if the Steam Machine comes out first and is cheaper.

Id rather they continue with what they done with the last few games by only having around 400 pokemon with a mix of new and old. Then it's up to the player if they want to only use new pokemon, it's an option instead of being forced.

Also by including old pokemon they can make each area/route have completely different pokemon, whereas older games would have multiple routes with the same pokemon in them.
