Re: Opinion: Resident Evil Requiem Represents A Turning Point For Switch 2

@Exerion76 Depends on if the developers still develop their games with the Switch 2 in mind, especially Japanese games which they will 100% want their games on teh Switch 2, doesn't matter what the PS6 can do if the developers want their game on the Switch 2. It will be a Series S situation all over again but this time the Switch 2 will hold that gen back. A good thing for Nintendo players but bad for those wanting high end gaming.

Tbf the Switch 1 was left behind day one, most new releases didn't make it to the console, never mind one of the biggest third party releases of the year and on day one. The Switch 2 is in a much better position and has the power to handle most previously released title so far on the PS4 and PS5 with some comprises, plus developers/publishers know the Switch 2 will sell gangbusters and will want their game available to all those potential buyers.

These deserve the Remake treatment even if it's the Chibi style like with the Diamond and Pearl Remakes. But if they were coming next year surely they would have been announced by now? With Champions, Pokopia and surely the next gen releasing next year I can't see them releasing a 4th game.

Also that was the gen Axew, Litwick, Vanilite and Zorua were introduced, 4 of my favourite Pokémon (and evolution lines) so would love to dive in again.

PSP, PS Vita, PS3, Wii, WiiU and 3DS stores have all close down for purchases but you can still re download your bought games. So there's no need to overreact about GKC and game preservation. Also these platforms would give you plenty of notice if they were to close their servers down fully, giving you plenty of time to download all your games you want to play again onto your console.

I also have a feeling the Switch console naming and design will be continued every gen going forward, so Switch 3,4,5 etc. Meaning they will keep the Eshop going for these consoles so you can still play your Switch 1 games on your Switch 4 in 15 years time.

Re: Nintendo Direct September 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer

I don't mind Pokémon getting DLC already but the only two negatives from this direct were the Donkey Kong DLC and the price of the Galaxy ports. The Donkey Kong DLC looks great but the prove isn't for what it offers, £70 for the main game should mean for a £16 dlc you should be getting 3-4 new levels worth not just 1. Then there's the Galaxy ports which don't offer any new content or real worthy upgrades, so to charge £70 for games that are 15/18 years old is ridiculous.

9/10 fantastic direct, had so many games im looking forward to playing. Highlights for me were the new Fire Emblem, Fatal Frame Remake and Dragon Quest 7 Re imagined. Also nice to see Resident Evil 9, shows what the Switch 2 is capable of.

Also is it safe to assume the new Professor Layton isn't making its 2025 release, surely it would have been shown today if so.
