Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (8th February)

On PS5 i will be starting Trails Through Daybreak 2 which I was lucky to get early. I will also be continuing with Dragon Quest 3 HD, just got the Echo Flute so now I can get another orb. I may start the Monster Hunter Wilds Beta although I know it's a game I'm getting either way so maybe il leave it.

On the Switch I've got the last boss to do in Mario and Luigi Brothership, and then it's on to the first Fire Emblem Warriors. I've also re downlaoded Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and bought the booster pass, going to have a marathon of doing every one of the 98 tracks, going to take multiple days though 😅.

Re: Talking Point: What Do We Actually Want From 'Mario Kart 9'?

UltimateOtaku91

I would like a proper battle pass style reward system for the online node. I've tried getting into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe a few times but the online doesn't seem rewarding enough, just a points system that doesn't mean anything in the long run. A pass like the one included in Splatoon 3 though would make me want to play it more.

Re: Where To Pre-Order Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition On Switch

UltimateOtaku91

@Sam_ATLUS I've played pretty much everything I want from the current list, I may trade in my physical copy of Mario Party Jamboree and get the digital version instead from the Vouchers. Or I'm tempted to just save a voucher and see what Nintendo release later this year and there's always the chance that these vouchers will be redeemable for Switch 2 games as well.

Re: Is This Our Best Look Yet At 'Switch 2'?

UltimateOtaku91

The fact they sent lawyers means there's a chance the genki reveals are correct.

Also the leaker of the PS5 Pro and Nintendo Alarm release dates has posted Nintendo will announce the Switch 2 on January 17th with a March 3rd release date, fingers crossed that's true.

Re: Round Up: 'Switch 2' Renders Suggest A Sleek, Classy Successor

UltimateOtaku91

@OldGamer999 We Know Metroid Prime 4 and Pokémon Legends ZA are launching this year so I'd wager atleast one of those will be launching on the Switch 2 on release day as well but with better performance and maybe 4k. Other than that a 3D Mario is a given and possibly Mario Kart but I doubt they will launch with two Mario games.

You can also guarantee it will launch with a stellar line up of third party games showcasing what the console can handle. Final Fantasy 7 Remake is rumoured to be coming to Switch 2, Metaphor Re Fantazio should also be compatible as its on PS4, Bethesda are also rumoured to be releasing some games on the Switch 2 so maybe the new Doom or Oblivion Remaster. I have a feeling this will be Nintendo's strongest ever launch line up for a new console.

Re: PS5 Will Sell More Than 'Switch 2' In The US This Year, Says Analyst

UltimateOtaku91

Well that's pretty obvious isn't it?

There's a new Monster Hunter, Ghost of Yotei and a certain game called GTA 6 coming this year that will shift millions of PS5 consoles on it own.

With the Switch 2 it all depends when it releases, what the launch games are and most importantly how much stock Nintendo have for this year. It can't outsell the PS5 if it hasn't got the stock to do so.

Re: Physical Game Sales Took A Nosedive In The UK Last Year

UltimateOtaku91

For me I currently rent 50% of the games I play through the year, 25% are bought new physically and 25% are digital games that were on a sale. I do not buy digital copies on day one as they are £10-£15 more expensive than a physical copy which I can get most my money back by reselling on ebay once I'm done.

So if there was an all digital Playstation that would mean I play less games and I spend less money on Playstation and spend more money and time on Nintendo (who respect physical media too much to ditch it).

Re: Rumour: New 'Switch 2' Photos Show Off A Very Legit-Looking Joy-Con

UltimateOtaku91

@Serpenterror Even worst if the magnetic wave lose its magnetism over time then you'll be stuck with loose joycons

Is that possible? If so it seems like an obvious design flaw that Nintendo shouldn't have overlooked. Its either the magnets on the joy con's lose strength or worst case scenario the magnets on the console lose strength which to me is a deal breaker.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (New Year Edition)

UltimateOtaku91

On PS5 i will be continuing with Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D, it's been great so far but boy it's an hard game, that easy mode is starting to look enticing 😅. I will also be playing some more Marvel Rivals and HellDivers 2.

On Switch I'm hoping to complete Mario and Luigi Brothership this weekend and then move onto either Bravely Default 2 or Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, although I'm leaning towards the former.

On Meta Quest I've just started Moss and thoroughly enjoying it so far, such a charming and intriguing game.

Finally on my Portal I will be playing some more Monster Hunter Rise, just started the Sunbreak DLC with the misses and quite underwhelmed so far as it's just the same monsters from the base game. I will also be playing some more Sackboys Big Adventure but I've hit a snag as I'm on a level that uses motion controls and it's quite impossible to do on the portal.
