Guns of Fury is the correct answer. Agreed with the above. That game rules VERY hard and in a bit of a drought for exciting releases, it’s maybe my favourite game since Astrobot. Do not miss this gem.
I saw EDF in the thumbnail and I got very excited. Then I saw it was just a sequel to World Brothers. Not that the first one was bad at all… But I wanted a real Earth Defense Force game on Switch and was hoping one was being ported. Oh well.
I’m a Nintendo die-hard. Been here since the NES. I’ll throw down (not really) with some Sony Ponies any time…
…But not about Astro Bot. Astro Bot absolutely rules.
And while everyone is focused on the Nintendo influences - I think the biggest influence I see is Rayman Origins. But that game is neutral in console wars, so it doesn’t get brought up.
Me mad at whatever makes you happy, I guess. But in my opinion, Astro Bot is a thing of beauty - influences and all.
This game looks surprisingly stellar. I thought it was gonna be kind of a throwaway. Charming enough, but ultimately disposable. Doesn’t look like it though. Looks like a lot of fun.
@Steel76 I kinda feel the same way, but to be fair, I haven't seen enough of it in action to get a real sense of how disappointing this aspect actually is. The first one looked so unique with its incredibly dense pixels and bright contrasts. It pops like crazy on the OLED. This one looks like it may just be a PS1 style 3D. Not bad. Still dig it. But visuals don't appear to be quite the selling point this time around. At least on first impression.
I'll probably get one whatever the price, but that's because I'm a shill for Nintendo and have followed them for the last three decades despite the missteps. Realistically though, if it's going to be priced like a PS5, it had better be something special. No moderate upgrade on the current iteration gets you to that price point.
The first one received a few updates that made the aiming go from completely broken, to pretty decent. I’ve had a lot of with it. You really have to tinker with the settings, but it worked.
I will with this one too. This is my favourite of the franchise. Can’t wait.
Oh I am very very into this. It's gorgeous and it looks like it's running very smooth. I understand it's not everybody's thing, but I'm totally a mark for it. Only thing I didn't love about the trailer was the music. Minor quibble. Sign me up. That looks Day One for me.
He's right. Whatever he says, this crazy fanbase will use it against him and/or the movie. He could say something entirely reasonable that many of thousands would agree with and he'd still be the Antichrist who has no business directing the movie. He's better off not supplying people with the ammunition.
I never used the feature (or even knew it was an option)... But why would you do this to the people who enjoyed it? Like, what's the motivation for making the change? It's not like you're disabling MySpace support or ICQ chat. Both of these platforms (Switch and Twitter) are still plenty relevant.
Much better than I was expecting. Seems lately that these Directs are nothing but farm simulators and other such stuff I personally find a little boring. But I wasnt expecting Rare games. Wasn't expecting the Battlefront stuff. Pocket Card Jockey is fun. Contra demo and release date, Penny's Breakaway too? Lots in here that I actually appreciated. Not bad.
This game rules. I usually don’t have the patience for long gaming sessions and after I picked this up this morning, I couldn’t stop playing. Drinkbox seems to get right what so many other developers get wrong. The abilities gained throughout Guacamelee made progression more fun and more challenging, rather than simply making you overpowered. Here, it’s a consistent level of satisfying reward that encourages experimentation and helps keep everything interesting as it pulls you along. I love it.
Wasn’t there an award for best game mechanics? Something like that? I thought Tears of the Kingdom would have been a shoe-in for that award and in a dogfight for the others.
I'd be there day one. Bring it on. Always thought it would be more profitable as a service offered on other platforms as opposed to their obtusely named consoles. Or in addition to.
Gamepass is probably the best deal in all of gaming. I'd love it on my Nintendo.
All of this saddens me. I was all in despite the rougelike elements just on style alone. But those stating that it should be third person are bang on. May give it a go with low expectations on a deep discount down the line, but that’s a far cry from the day one purchase I thought it’d be. Too bad.
Yeah I’m gonna pass on this one. When the original was released it was groundbreaking in its collaboration between Nintendo and Squaresoft AND it was one of the best looking games of its generation. Landmark gaming. Now it’s aged 30 years and looks… fine. I’m happy for those who are happy about it, but personally I think it’s a mistake.
Don't waste your money! I had low expectations for this game, but bought it on sale for my PS5, as I'm a big Batman/DC guy. It still disappointed me. A lot. And bored me. Looked fine graphically, but that's about all I can say that's positive about it. And it won't even look good on Switch.
I don't care how uninspired the gameplay looks (and it certainly seems pretty stale). I'm still there day one like a sucker. I'm too in love with seeing Mignola's art style in motion.

This has Cosmic Ghost Rider AND Beta Ray Bill. It could be a puddle of dog vomit, and I’d still be there Day One.

Re: EA Sports Games For Switch 2 "Are Being Built Specifically For The New Handheld"
NHL on the handheld would be reason enough by itself for me to buy a Switch 2. I miss hockey on my Nintendo.

Re: Random: Zelda Movie Director (Kind Of) Doesn't Want To Reveal His Favourite Game In The Series
@Yoshif3 I don't think the problem will be the director. The problem is that a live action Zelda movie is just an ill-advised idea.
