I don't know if I do like the sound of this. But it's WayForward and they've earned the benefit of the doubt.

@Dazza This is great news! The primary appeal of this site for me was always that the crew here would highlight smaller, interesting indie games that other places ignore. Now with the massive amount of games hitting the eshop on a weekly basis, anything that you do to capture more of them is highly appreciated!

Did anyone complaining actually read the review? Everything you're saying you love about the game is mentioned. Makes me want to pick this one up. Isn't that the point of a review? To help make informed buying decisions?

It is ridiculous to be charging the same price as every other console when it's missing a key feature present everywhere else. Valid criticism.

Not enough to keep me away, however... And Switch is the system I'll be buying it on regardless. Who cares about a six?

Metroid Prime Pinball
Diddy Kong Racing (my favourite thing was replacing the sound effects with whatever I wanted and drawing my own art for parts of the levels - great customization options)

@oh_no_melon Only one other than me who mentions Bangai-O. For me, it's not only my favorite DS game, but my favorite game of all time.

This looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun. WayForward is the best.

There's lag inherent in BT headphones isn't there? I know I can't watch videos with my BOSE earphones because the sound is so terribly out of sync.

I hope Doom gets an update that fixes its problem of not being able to play again after putting it into sleep mode. Port issues and DRM stuff aside, this is what bothers me the most about it.

Still a lot of fun and very fairly priced and an easy vote for me.

Good timing putting Doom 1-3 out there this otherwise dead week. Price-point is great too. Easy decision for me.

I have Turok on my wish list and this will join it. Never got to play the 2nd one back in the day, so this should be cool.

My issue is that I'm a cheap SOB and these game are $25 here in Canada. I just bought 3 Doom games for less.

I have no vitriol toward EA... If they make decisions that negatively affect my experience, I just won't spend my money on their games. If more people followed that principle, they'd stop structuring their games like that.

Personally, I think this is a shame, because if they put Madden and NHL on Switch, I'd likely be purchasing them. I'm actually okay with a lesser version as a trade-off for being able to play handheld on my favorite system.

But judging by many of these comments, it seems like the prudent play for them. I'm obviously in the minority.

Didn't care. Signed up. Played. Took an extra 10 seconds of my life and I got three games I love for great prices. Who doesn't have a burner email account for sign ups like this? Don't understand the outrage.

Reviews are subjective. No such thing as no bias. If a certain aspect of a game detracts from that reviewer's enjoyment, it's fair game.
That's why you read the review rather than simply looking at a number score. A deal breaker for one, may be part of the appeal for another.

I downloaded the demo earlier in the week and after about 15 minutes of it not actually being a demo and no gameplay, I turned it off and deleted it.

It may be fun... I don't know. But I don't have the patience.

Aw hell... That cinches it. I'll have to buy this game now.

My one joycon got drifty and when I looked up troubleshooting, I found a ton of people who experienced the same. I've had consoles all the way back to an old Atari and this is the first time inexperienced it. Thought it was a calibration issue.

This isn't the same as throwing your Wiimote through your TV. This happens without your help.

I love Nintendo and I love my Switch. But this problem is pervasive and should have been addressed some time ago.

I don't know what this law firm is getting out the deal other than publicity (perhaps that's enough) but I do hope it helps fix the problem.

Talk about poor timing for this release. DQBII and Mario Maker both within the same couple of weeks. I could see Terraria getting lost in the enthusiasm for bigger titles.

Wow am I ever in! I primarily play in hand held and this looks like the joycon option I've been waiting so long for. The lack of features only serves to make them affordable and I think it's the right play.

This news makes it a day one buy for me. Never played it before but always assumed it was great. They deserve success if they're going to shell out where so many games have cheaper out. I'm excited to support this.

I think I'm one of the few not hyped by the reveal of BotW2. I know it's not coming out any time soon and will likely see numerous delays to get it right.

I'll be delighted to play it when it comes out, but that it was being worked on is no surprise. I'd be more surprised if they said it wasn't happening.

The closer we get to 2022, the more excited I'll get.

I'm sure the developers will put as much love and care into this game as they did the one previous... But I can't help but think this was a bum play.

You go 2D platformer and you have some nasty competition. It's going to be very difficult for this one to stand out. No longer can you lean in on a neglected genre and nostalgia.

I think with the first title, there was a solid foundation to build upon, clean up and improve. This looks like a clean slate and a step backward.

I have yet to download this game. I can't explain what makes me hesitant, but I am.

Only thing this system lacks is good sports titles. Would kill a stranger for NHL20 on the go. It would complete me. Wouldn't say no to NFL or baseball either.

I purchased both the Castlevania and RE4 but they are both just older (great) games. Voted for Gato Roboto...fun and satisfying without being frustrating. Love the care that went into this title.

The biggest surprise for me this month was Akane. Thought it may be shovelware, but got it on a sale (I had purchased other Cubic games) and it is great. One of the best bargain purchases I've made for this system.

Also GunlordX kicks a serious amount of ass.

They should have just cut their losses. The character design was only one of the myriad of issues with that atrocity of a trailer. This movie isn’t getting fixed. Would have preferred the full terrible just for the curiosity of it.

Hold on a mo... Guilty Gear? I had no idea! I’m in!

All of these larger titles are ones that I’d much rather have physical. I do like this idea conceptually, but this particular one isn’t for me.

This is an example where the star rating matters far less than the content of the article. The stuff the reviewer doesn't like sounds just like stuff that would pull me in (humour aside). Didn't get into RCR so I wasn't too hot on this. But I may actually buy it thanks to the review!

Love Cuphead as much as any game in recent memory. So happy it came to Switch where I can play it finally. I will be buying the physical edition to have on the shelf while continuing on with my digital release.

Never played it, but it looks like it could be a lot of fun.

I must be a moron. Much of the time these comparison videos have me shrugging. It doesn't appear as though the Switch version is compromised in any significant way.

I thought for sure this was a game I'd be getting on Playstation, but I seriously can't see a downgrade. Maybe I'm just blind to FPS variations.
