I feel like I’m the only one who doesn’t like Okami. The art style is nice, but I didn’t like how it played at all. shrug I would suggest it’s just not for me, but everyone compares it to other games I love... There’s something I’m just not getting.

Virtua Racing was my favourite of the line, as so much work was put in to make it the best version of the classic. A gorgeous bit of nostalgia for me.

I hope they keep going.

Who would watch a Monster Hunter movie for a compelling story? 😆 You watch a Monster Hunter movie to see big monsters being hunted. Or that doesn’t interest you. Whatever. If this delivers on big fun monster fights, even if it contains next to zero plot, it’s a win. It’s the execution of the action that I’m skeptical about.

@Mordridakon Absolutely false. Boll has quite a number of films that are excellent. Ambitious, emotional and with clear perspective.

12 years or whatever and I’d never seen an episode of AVGN until we went into lockdown and I was off for a few weeks. I like it! I binged all of it with all the free time. James just seems like a genuine person underneath the character and there’s a lot of love for the medium that comes through.

Always assumed it was made for immature children, but after giving it a shot, I found it was actually for immature adults. I hope they keep making videos for a long time.

First expensive week in a while for me. No More Heroes 1/2, AVGN, and I’m gonna pick up Control as well. Yay!

Cloud as an option for these games on my Switch is very exciting. Didn’t think we’d have the infrastructure in the west to be able to offer it. I’ll be purchasing Control just to support the effort (not sure I’m totally interested in the game itself).

I understand the fear of losing physical media, but as long as there’s a demand, there will always be a supply. I’ll continue to buy physical games that run natively on my Switch and ones that realistically couldn’t, I’m happy to have the option to play on the cloud.

This is great for Nintendo fans.

Count me in on the side of cloud gaming on Switch. Opens a ton of opportunities to play games that I wouldn’t otherwise have access to. And the more the technology improves, the better the experience will be. I’m excited about this!

Never played Minecraft and don’t really care. But I know a lot of people do, so good for them! Also... the fighting mechanics look like they may be a lot of fun.

I remember Yahtzee’s review of this some time ago. Sounded really promising and then like something I’d get very frustrated with... but still interesting? Download size may keep me away however.

@CTmatic For me, it was little things like base running (vastly improved) and hitting feeling more intuitive. Franchise mode and multiplayer are probably the biggest selling features for most though. I just found that the little things that picked at me about 2 are pretty much eliminated. I don’t know if that’s enough for you to invest, but seeing as though I’ve spent as much time as I have playing each of these games, I don’t feel I’ve overspent in the slightest.

I’d say best sports game on Switch by quite a bit? Only thing it lacks is the MLB license and that’s probably to its benefit, because I’m sure there are a list of rules that come with that partnership. As it is, it plays brilliantly and one can just get lost for hours in the sheer amount of customization it allows. Highest recommendation I can give it - if Baseball is something you enjoy.

Wow. This Direct was awesome for Rise alone.

Why can't they just put the option to invert the controls? This will make the game unplayable for me. This is incredibly disappointing. What is so difficult about making that an option? Please patch this in!!

Instant buy for me. My favourite show of all time. Just has to be playable and I’m all in. No mention of a physical release - so digital only? This is one budget title I’d much prefer to have a copy of on my shelf.

I don’t think the announcement of a Bakugan game is really the issue. It wasn’t a Direct... BUT the fact that they announced that there was going to be a new game announcement from a great developer, and our expectations went up! They could have just said nothing, announced the Bakugans and we could have collectively shrugged our shoulders (or got excited if Bakugan is your thang). But we were set up for disappointment.

You see how easy this is Nintendo? 25 year old game that we’ve all played - and we go nuts! Very happy to have this on my Switch.

If the puzzle part of the platforming is good, this may worth a punt. But have to admit, I dislike a lot about how this looks.

Devolver has very quietly become one of my favourite game developers. Ape Out, Stories Untold, Mother Russia Bleeds, Gato Roboto... all gems in addition to their “big” titles like Hotline Miami, Katana Zero and the Messenger.

I’ll definitely be watching this event.

I really wanted sports games. NHL and Madden. Couldn’t care less about this list. And EA will use this garbage to continue to not support the Switch when sales suck.
