I play a lot of hand held on my OLED and these look fantastic. Would definitely pay more if they included some kind of rumble, but I hope they come over to NA anyway. Love that there was some effort put into making them look nice and not so big and clunky like the precious effort. Will keep an eye them.
I tried backing this years ago after seeing an article on here about it (first time I’ve ever felt compelled to do something like that) but the campaign failed to meet target. I hadn’t heard anything about it since then.
I’m so happy to hear that it’s coming out! This is Day One for me, absolutely.
Preordered the collector edition months ago. Only special edition I’ve bought since… crap since Killer is Dead. So happy with this release date and I can’t wait to revisit these games!
Bought and played this game through. It’s awesome. The aesthetic may turn people off, but it’s just the right amount of weird and jank to totally work for it. Deliberate. Kudos to Star or Shovelware for their review
Regardless of whatever this is, it’s already the announcement of the year for me. Treasure is my favourite game developer and I’m just happy to hear they’re active on something/anything. Bangai-O for the DS is my #1 Game All Time. I can’t believe this is happening!
@CarlosEFML Wooo!! Just played the first level. First impression is great! Not only am I loving the visuals, but everything just feels great. So fluid and satisfying. Oh I’m so happy
@Andee First album for me too! I played it constantly on cassette on my little ghetto blaster. I work at an Indigo books here in Canada and they recently added “Spin That Wheel” to our music playlist. I was the only one who knew the song and where it came from. I said they should have picked “9.95” instead. lol
Thank you for pointing this one out @KateGray ! Looked it up, saw it was on sale and I’ve been playing it ever since! I don’t understand why Roundguard is spoken of more often. It rules!
I remember when this game came out (I guess I’m aging myself here) and was panned by critics. Had that terrible ad in Nintendo Power. I was sure it sucked, but I was curious too. I was never an RPG guy either, so it was a big step out of my own gaming comfort zone.
The sense of humour it sported allowed me to fight through the needless design frustrations… and when the game turned totally insane toward its conclusion, I felt as though I had stumbled on to something secret. That those who were too unforgiving of the more tedious aspects of Earthbound never had a chance to witness. The emotional rollercoaster of sadness, nightmare and abstract ideas that I had not only never experienced before, but that I’ve unsuccessfully searched for in other games ever since.
I don’t want to play it on a PC. Would much rather have a copy for actual Nintendo hardware. It’s a game I’ve been curious about forever and I’d buy it day one.
I read about this game in magazines and I always wanted to try it. I had a little notebook as a kid where I put it on my list of games I had to find and play. It was the only title on the list that I never ever found. Not to rent. Not to buy. Nowhere. I’m sure it doesn’t exactly hold up after all these years, but I can’t believe I’m finally getting the opportunity to cross it off my list. Surreal!
For how many times I've purchased many of these Sonic games, I shouldn't be excited about this. But I am very stupid excited about this. Widescreen options? Sonic CD? I'm in. God damn it.
@luxoricious Sonic 3 and Knuckles were meant to be one game, but sold on two different cartridges because of size restraints and... Because then they could sell two games. I think that's what they mean.
It is very rare that I get excited about a turn-based RPG, but there’s something about this one that really appeals to me. Won’t be preordering, but I will be buying.
They probably chose Earthworm Jim 2 for SNES as it was the better version of that game. The first Earthworm Jim is better on the Genesis/Mega Drive, so it will probably be released over there instead.
Beat em Ups Retro Games Games I play with my son Game Collections FPS Point n Click Fighting Games New Retro (for modern games with retro inspirations) Backlog
That’s it so far. It’s actually been fun just to go through my collection seeing how many titles fit into each category. And then picking the three titles I want to represent each group visually on the folders screen. I’ll end up sinking a lot of time into sorting games kinda like when I went through my trading card collections as a kid.
Fantastic Direct. They have their "Smash reveal" again with the Mario Kart DLC, which also adds value to the higher tier online service. The updates on Splatoon, Kirby and Advance Wars all add hype. RPG fans got two big interesting titles. A cool looking shadow drop. Mario Strikers may not be for everyone, but it is for me. And new Wii Sports is going to be absolutely massive. Not only fun, should end up on several bestseller lists by the end of year. Did I want to hear more about Batman? Sure! But I got surprises, updates, additions to my wish list and a new game for the library. I loved it.
Yeah Yeah Beebiss!! Ya gotta get Yeah Yeah Beebiss! Maybe a little hot on the price point considering its simple NES presentation. But damn it is some old school fun and the lost original game is a cool story too. Yeah Yeah Beebiss!
I’m building and playing the Mario sets with my son. I love them. It’s a great mix of that Nintendo aesthetic and Lego creativity. I thought they knocked it out of the park. We’re having a blast with it.
I think I’ll invest in this as well even though it’ll likely be more for me than something my son and I will play with together

Re: Old-School DOOM-Like FPS Prodeus Delayed For Nintendo Switch
Probably the game I’m most excited about coming to the Switch, save perhaps Prime 4. I’ll be there day one for whenever this launches.
Re: Out Now: Treasure's Classic Arcade Shmup 'Radiant Silvergun' Surprise Drops On Switch
Treasure is my all-time favourite. I have spent a woefully small amount of time with their Saturn offerings though. I cannot wait to play this.
Treasure!!
