We like to throw all the blame at these mega-corps who've bought up the studios without placing any blame on the studio founders who sold (often for large sums for themselves) the studios to begin with.

I was really looking forward to this one. FM3 is one of my all-time favorites. I put a ton of hours into the original just hunting down parts and making my Wanzer team perfect.

Even though its "just the art assests", this is an absolute butchering.

On the other hand, my cynicism is wondering if this is just turning up the heat on the frogs.

I'm honestly really conflicted. I'm not given to outrage for outrage's sake (as many seem to be), but at the same time I understand that if we'll accept a little, will we eventually accept a lot?
I dont know that I'm ready to take a hardline "none!" stance, but I'm not ready to boil either.

Not having an issue, not noticing an issue , and not having a problem with an issue are very different things.

This discussion reminds me very much of listening to music on vinyl. Sure, it can sound better than other mediums, but most of the population cant tell the difference, even though it is demonstratably present.

No reason to knock these folks for pointing out an issue that many will not notice, and the rest won't care about.

Hmmm, am I the only one not bothered that they stuck to the original release and didn't add in the "extra" stuff from the later release?
I get that they certainly could have, as they also have "classic" mode, but my understanding is that "classic" is just graphical.
I think this is a non-issue. We're getting a remake of the original version, not a remake of the...not-original version.

I feel like I've been waiting an age for more info on this one.

My local Walmart has one still on the shelf. I was surprised, and tempted, but I'm not an early adopter.

To add: It was Sakimoto's score during the original PS1 commercials for this game that caught my attention. Been a fan of SRPGs and Sakimoto ever since.

The only barrier to these records is availability.

Sony, MS, Nintendo, any could easily have a record launch if they stockpile enough product first. But, of course, there are limits to the feasibility of that also.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that yet another console will launch without being able to satisfy demand.

I enjoyed D3 on my Switch waaaay more than I did on my PC. But I had piss-poor internet when D3 launched with its always-connected BS. Things are better in that department these days.

Wii and DS and Switch aside, that really hasn't been Nintendo's core identity though, has it? Nes, Snes, N64, GameCube. GB, GBC, GBA. DS, 3ds, 2ds.

Evolution (Building on popularity until popularity fades) is more "Nintendo" than revolution is.

Cautiously optimistic.

Lunar SSS was a favorite of mine. I kinda recall not being as impressed with Blue, but I really don't remember (so maybe I indeed was not).

I planned on skipping this release as the ps1 Working Designs collector's editions are still a highlight of my collection, but I may grab it anyway. Nostalgia is a cruel mistress.
