My interest in MMOs on the PC was wanning about the time this one really took off. I wouldn't mind giving it a go, maybe a Switch 2 version would convince me.

I dont like buying digitally, but a bunch of thr Lego games are on deeeeep discount on the eshop right now, so I picked up a few that I didn't have. Gonna try to get going on Marvel Superheroes 2 this weekend.

That's a pretty sweet timeslot on the main stage, no less, at a major con for them to unveil "nothing new".

As a boy, I was firmly in the former camp. Ninja Gaiden destroyed me to the point that I hated even the mention of it for years.

I like the uniqueness of that C...I mean KE. Probably won't pick it up, but its a nice edition.

I'm not totally "in the know" when it comes to this dev house and the stuff behind the scenes alluded to in the review, but surely the devs themselves deserve some of the blame themselves for this mess? The reviewer seems to want to pile on everybody but the actual programmers.

While I am still very much excited for this release, acquiring MvC showed me that I'm not as good at fighters as I (thought I) was 30 years ago.
Still, very fond memories of UMK3.

We like to throw all the blame at these mega-corps who've bought up the studios without placing any blame on the studio founders who sold (often for large sums for themselves) the studios to begin with.

I was really looking forward to this one. FM3 is one of my all-time favorites. I put a ton of hours into the original just hunting down parts and making my Wanzer team perfect.

Even though its "just the art assests", this is an absolute butchering.

I'm honestly really conflicted. I'm not given to outrage for outrage's sake (as many seem to be), but at the same time I understand that if we'll accept a little, will we eventually accept a lot?
I dont know that I'm ready to take a hardline "none!" stance, but I'm not ready to boil either.

Not having an issue, not noticing an issue , and not having a problem with an issue are very different things.

This discussion reminds me very much of listening to music on vinyl. Sure, it can sound better than other mediums, but most of the population cant tell the difference, even though it is demonstratably present.

No reason to knock these folks for pointing out an issue that many will not notice, and the rest won't care about.

Hmmm, am I the only one not bothered that they stuck to the original release and didn't add in the "extra" stuff from the later release?
I get that they certainly could have, as they also have "classic" mode, but my understanding is that "classic" is just graphical.
I think this is a non-issue. We're getting a remake of the original version, not a remake of the...not-original version.

I feel like I've been waiting an age for more info on this one.

What issues did I bring up? None that I see, I only pointed out that I'm not an early adopter...because I'm not.

My local Walmart has one still on the shelf. I was surprised, and tempted, but I'm not an early adopter.

Yes! Its a classic, and one of my all-time favorites!

To add: It was Sakimoto's score during the original PS1 commercials for this game that caught my attention. Been a fan of SRPGs and Sakimoto ever since.
