Re: Random: Wait, Is Ocarina Of Time 3D Old Now?

TheBoilerman

It feels like I only just bought my copy a couple of years ago. Oh wait, I did. I played the 64 version back when it was new, and I picked it up on my GC, so I never bothered with the 3d version. Then I got back into a handheld kick and picked up a 2ds right before my wife got me a Switch lite. Grabbed all of the Zelda carts I could.

Being able to play Wind Waker and Twighlight Princess on a handheld (Wii U most certainly does not count) is what I need more than a fourth copy of OoT.

I remember spending a ton of time with this on the PS1, mainly for the crafting system as I recall (man, that was a looong time ago!). I didn't bother finishing the Switch demo because I'll be playing the full version soon enough, but I was quite impressed with it!

As for the Jrpg talk that has been going around, my opinion of it has always been that Jrpgs put you into the shoes of a chosen protaganist (or group of them) to experience /their/ stories. Western rpg were about creating a character and making your own story within the confines of an established world. Never once was it about combat or anything other than how the story was presented. Re: Round Up: Developers React To Unity's New 'Runtime Fee' Policy

"People are licensing our engine and making tons of money, what do we do?"

"Charge them for every install of their games?"

"Brilliant! But what if they stop using our engine for future products?"

"Simple, make the cost per install retroactive."

"!!!!!!! Give this man a million dollar bonus. We're gonna be rich!"

(Probably)

It's decisions like this that chip away at my faith in humanity.
