My backlog dates back to the PS1 (everything before that is played) and covers, PS1, PS2, PS3, GBA, DS, 3DS, GameCube, PSP, and Switch. That's just games I own and haven't played.
One of my all-time favorites. The first game I ever took the time to play through more than once (too many good games to bother with that nonsense). Sakimoto once again delivered a fantastic score. And the in-game art is sublime, I love those nose-less little peeps.
My copy just arrived. The poster of the job classes that came with it caused waves of nostalgia to wash over me. The art, the music, the gameplay...all of it 10/10.
Speaking of that one "con" regarding the soundtrack: I'm considering buying the vinyl release because it comes with a digital download for the entire soundtrack, including 31(!) tracks not on the (excellent) OST.
I think FFT may be my favorite game of all time. It started me down a rabbit hole of playing every srpg that came along. It also set me onto Sakimoto's music which are also some of my favorite compositions.
@Grumpalo I'm really glad you pointed that out. I was reading all of this thinking "screw these devs, this is extreme lack of respect toward the player!" But if there's a clue, then nevermind. Good one, carry on.
Its me, I'm the one guy who hasn't played Hollow Knight. I'd also not even paid any attention to the name Silksong until a couple of weeks ago (my overhead rock must be huge). But all y'all's hype is contagious, I'll likely be checking this (and the Knight) out soon enough.

Re: Review: iMP Gaming Mini Arcade Pro - Turns Your Switch (Or Switch 2) Into A Bartop Cabinet
Even at 90$ US its pretty tempting. If it had a vertical mode as well, I think I'd be all over it.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Dragon Power (NES)
Not really a fair fight, is it?
Re: Nintendo Wins Lawsuit Against 'Pirate' Streamer Who Taunted Company Online
Ppay stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Re: Review: Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection (Switch 2) - A Killer Kompilation, But Online Is A Mess At Launch
I will be buying it. Didn't pre-order like I planned, but I'll get it soon enough. I think it'll be well worth it.
Re: Review: Luigi's Mansion (GameCube) - A Spooky Little Romp That Still Sucks You In
@dartmonkey It'll be hilarious if somebody comes back because they got a "X commented on your post" email after 15 years.
Re: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Soundtrack Is Scoring A Gorgeous Vinyl Release Next Year
Just remember kids, digitally created music doesn't automatically sound better just because its pressed onto analog vinyl.
This does look like a nice set though...
Re: Microsoft On Its Gaming Business Going Forward: "We Want To Be Everywhere"
Because Microsoft isn't really competition. They've tried buying their way into competitiveness, but that ain't working either.
Re: Review: Once Upon A Katamari (Switch) – A Roll-'Em-Up Revival Done Right
I've always been intrigued by Katamari, but never gave it a try.
Still intrigued though.
Re: "Go Tell Nintendo" - Ex-Blizzard President Responds After Xbox Calls Exclusives "Antiquated"
My exact first thought when I first saw the "antiquated" quaote was: "I don't think Nintendo would agree.".
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
I like them both, but that Samus portrait on the JP cover has some ominous vibes to it. Went with it.
Re: It's Official, Assassin's Creed Shadows Comes To Switch 2 In December With Cross-Progression
Nice! I'm actually hoping for the (can't remember its name) Baghdad AC.
Edit: AC Mirage. (Should have looked it up before posting)

Sweet! I think I need both!

What is that DK barrel? A plush? A pillow? A bag?
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Hey You, Pikachu!
Both are terribly boring.

I'm a buyer, apparently.

Humans suck.
Re: Go Fast With Puma's Brand New Sonic The Hedgehog Collection
I dont wear sneakers, but if I did...I probably still wouldn't wear these. Even though they do look kinda cool.
Re: Review: Fire Emblem Shadows (Mobile) - Flat F2P Folly With Simplistic Strategy & Social Deduction
Lol, I didn't even make it to the pro/con list the first time. "Audio is fine" is a helluva "pro"! 🤣😂
Re: Review: Fire Emblem Shadows (Mobile) - Flat F2P Folly With Simplistic Strategy & Social Deduction
The name "Fire Emblem" will forever get my attention. Thanks for saving me a download.

Re: Feature: Get A Job - 30 Years On, Seiken Densetsu 3's Class System Is Still One Of The Best
That's always been one of my favorite parts of the Tactics sub-genre: playing with the jobs.

I am not nostalgic for that music. At all!

I think thatvwas the hardest choice I've made yet.
Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Director Highlights The Speed Problem With Switch 2 Game Cards
I'm old enough to remember some PC games requiring partial asset movement from the physical media to the hard drive to run properly.
It worked then...
Re: Reminder: You Have Just One More Week To Play Star Wars: Hunters
I'm going with "do not".
Re: Gallery: Unboxing Superdeluxe's Castlevania Advance And Dominus Collections On Switch
Those are stunning! Are there paper maps included for each game? (Map nerd, here)

The "con" that isn't a con!

Missed an opportunity to have that video be a rick-roll.
Re: Nintendo Is "Acting To Protect The Industry" With Switch 2 Game Key Cards, Says Ex-Capcom Composer
@DonkeyKongBigBoy
Why not? Especially if the game is good. I still break out the GBA games from time to time, and my SNES calls to me as well.
Re: Nintendo Is "Acting To Protect The Industry" With Switch 2 Game Key Cards, Says Ex-Capcom Composer
Nothing logical about his statement.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 For Switch?
"I'm not sure about the price" should be "Not at that price"
Re: Nintendo Releasing Physical 'Talking Flower' From Mario Wonder Next Spring
I think its neat. Don't really see myself buying one, but maybe. Be cooler if it had amiibo functionality.
Re: Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Finally Gets Switch 1 & 2 Release Date
Insta-preorder.
Re: Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Charges Onto Switch 2 In 2026
Ready for this! The only thing that really excited me in that Direct.
Re: "I Have No Words" - Silksong Fans Are Losing Their Minds Over One Bench

Re: Nintendo Direct Announced For Friday, 12th September 2025
No Toon Link trilogy on the Switch, no cares.
Re: "The Most Impressive Switch 2 Port To Date" - Digital Foundry Examines Star Wars Outlaws
"Most impressive!"
Re: Puzzle Quest: Immortal Edition Brings Match-3 RPG Fun To Switch This Month
@Blast16
While I can't recommend a Switch match 3, I will say I've been playing Marvel Puzzle Quest on my phone since it launched.
Not sure how hard it would be to start it now and "catch up", but its quite fun.

Re: Review: Star Wars Outlaws (Switch 2) - An Underrated Adventure, A Super-Solid Port
@PJOReilly
So long as I dont have to suffer through The Last Jedi again I'm golden.
Re: Review: Star Wars Outlaws (Switch 2) - An Underrated Adventure, A Super-Solid Port
@PopularCorpse
You assume they're the same people. I, for one, stopped gaming on PC because of Steam.
Re: Review: Star Wars Outlaws (Switch 2) - An Underrated Adventure, A Super-Solid Port
How's the soundtrack? Every piece of SW entertainment will be judged (by me) based on the score.
