Yesterday, after years of speculation about Pragmata being a secret Mega Man game, Capcom finally linked the two in an April Fool's joke. As you may have already seen, it shows the game's protagonist Hugh dressed up as the Blue Bomber.
So, is this new outfit on display just a cruel joke, or is it actually going to be in the game? Fans are still debating this, but given the fact this title will have all sorts of costumes for Hugh and his android companion Diana, it seems like there's actually a serious chance of this costume being included. And just look at the detail on it, surely Capcom didn't go to all that effort for nothing!

Of course, Capcom hasn't actually said anything yet, so it remains an "April Fools" for now. And we imagine if it doesn't officially follow up on this, the community will likely step in and finish the job with a mod.
If we do end up seeing this outfit in Pragmata, it wouldn't be the first time something like this has played out in the video game space. In previous years, teams such as the Bayonetta developer Platinum transformed their own jokes into actual games.
Capcom has also been working overtime to get Mega Man back in the spotlight in recent months ahead of the release of Mega Man: Dual Override in 2027. It most recently released the Legacy Collection, and the legendary mascot has also been added to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds as a playable DLC racer.
Pragmata is out for Switch 2 later this month on 17th April 2026, and if we hear anything else related to Mega Man, we'll let you know.
