My overall thought was that this Direct showed that we certainly are at the end of the Switch life cycle.

Sure, there were a few good things for just about anybody to be excited about, but nothing truly mindblowing. Remakes, re-issues, and recycles, but not the ones I'd hoped for. Although, that Capcom collection really got my attention!

The more I watch the Zelda reveal, the less I think it'll be anything more than "this is the right way to advance here" gameplay. It might seem open, but I think it may be an illusion.

Metroid 4 isn't a bad swan-song, I suppose.

Highlight of the Direct for me. I've been waiting and hoping for this release since the home cabinet was released a while back.

I was midly excited about the III remake, but adding in I and II seals it for me.

I'm all over this!

I love a good beat 'em up, but I don't love those pixels. Still, looks fun.

Still hoping for Ogre Battle remakes.

I have a wall of shelves in the basement. My wife keeps her "fancy" sets (cactus, flowers, birds,) on top of the piano.

As a Lego fanatic, I'm highly excited for this. Not necessarily what I expected from a Zelda Lego set, but I think I'm gonna have to get it.

My backlog dates back to the last millennium, so at this point I think I might be more "collector" than "gamer". No harm adding another to the shelf, right?

Yes, absolutely! If they make the reveal before the holiday, they risk potential sales of the "soon-to-be-outdated" hardware, as well as "old" software.

Edit: I personally expect a Feb reveal for a July release.

Basically, it seems to me anyway, Embracer was made up of a bunch of investment bankers who were buying up IPs to create a portfolio that they hoped was worth more than the sum of its parts with the intention of selling said portfolio for mega-profits.

Gamble didn't pay off and now they're scrambling to make anything they can from a fire sale.

I continue to hope (especially now, with the success of Unicorn Overlord) that we'll get remakes of March of the Black Queen, Person of Lordly Caliber and maybe even Prince of Zenobia.

Well deserved praise for this one. Hopefully it's success shows that there is room for March of the Black Queen and Person of Lordly Caliber remakes.

I really like the cleanness of the NA box, and I love the SNES layout as a whole, but the Japanese one just does more justice to the actual game. It does border on being too busy, as was the case for most Japanese cover art.

I didn't realize how many versions of these older games I hadn't tried.

That...that sounds like a chore to play. Complexity is nice, but this? I don't think so.

I'm with @Ryu_Niiyama just having access is enough...mostly. Although, a graphical upgrade is always nice.

I have a library of games going back to the SNES, and sometimes trying to play those older games hurts the eyes. My best, most recent example is Diablo 2. I played a ton of it back in the day, but for the last many years, I couldn't bring myself to suffer the dated graphics. The remaster made it "new" again.

Sentimentaly, SMB2. It was the first game I ever "beat". I took a picture of the ending sleep screen so I could send it in to Nintendo Power back in the day.

While I am enjoying Wonder, as I close in on the end, I don't think I'm going to have one of those "I need more of this!" feelings.

It's a heck of a lot of fun, but if there was never another one, I wouldn't feel like I missed out on anything.

I'm kinda excited for the train. New lego trains don't come along very often (even if there are eleventy different versions of the Hogwarts express).

For me, the NA version is too cluttered, but the Japanese version is too sparse. The Korean version strikes a decent balance between the two by way of a little extra background color.

Trying to finish up SM Wonder so I can begin Unicorn Overlord.

I really enjoyed the demo. It's obviously targeted towards my elementary-aged granddaughters, but I think I could get lost in it.

MAYBE, just maybe, DF2 is coming, and they'll release a double cart to match my JO/JA physical!
