Seriously, this is getting crazy! The VG entertainment industry apparently isn't sustainable in its current form. Time to go back to small studios full of passionate people with dreams of entertaining rather than making tons of money.

Thanks for this, my hype level intensifies! Pre-ordered the CE as soon as I could. I've said it before: I'm more hyped for this game than any other in memory (not that my memory is long, but many many years at least).

People getting worked up thinking all these jobs are blue-collar coders getting fired. It's mostly gonna be white collar, redundant paper-shifters. Still sucks, sure, but this was known to be necessary as soon as they started saying "merger".

I much prefer vertical scrollers, but this looks lovely. Definite pickup.

I've been a Square fan for decades, and I've always looked forward to their games. I will say that "trimming the fat", especially when it is supposed to help quality, sounds like a good thing.

That is NOT the future I want.

I have all but one game I've ever bought (well except for a few I lost in a break-up a couple of decades ago). Still wish I hadn't traded that one away (FF: Mystic Quest).

It feels like I only just bought my copy a couple of years ago. Oh wait, I did. I played the 64 version back when it was new, and I picked it up on my GC, so I never bothered with the 3d version. Then I got back into a handheld kick and picked up a 2ds right before my wife got me a Switch lite. Grabbed all of the Zelda carts I could.

Being able to play Wind Waker and Twighlight Princess on a handheld (Wii U most certainly does not count) is what I need more than a fourth copy of OoT.

Seems to me, taking all of the Unity news over the last many months, that they've been in trouble for a while. The controversial runtime fee was meant to pass their money problems onto the developers, but once that failed to fly, the workforce gets hammered.

This is my most anticipated game right now. Honestly, it's been my most anticipated game in quite some time. Pre-ordered the Monarch.

LRG - I've only purchased once from them, Radiant Silvergun, and it took forever to arrive. However, as someone who regularly crowdfunds boardgames, long waits for the payoff are not new to me, and I'm not bothered by them. I kinda wish I had been using them more in the past, as there are several games I would like to have gotten from them.

Skies of Arcadia. Remaster it
Remix it. Remake it. Revive it. Reinvent it. Just re-it.

But I'm pretty old school, I remember the days of fighting with PCs to make games work at all so I probably have a high tolerance for sub-par performance.

These were both my first foray into each's series. Imagine, many months after playing them, playing their predecessors. It was wild for a 13yo to imagine that these sequels had been so different.
Playing them first is probably why they each hold a special place in my memory today.

Yes, absolutely! I've considered several times trying to get into the series, but just...haven't. Putting out a Switch collection would very likely prompt me to stop procrastinating.

Is as I assumed. I'll just continue watching the show with (and without) my grandkids.

This is one of those rare times that I'd say the full retail price is worth it, even as a remaster. I rarely pay full price for any game, but I don't think I'd bat an eye at paying 60$ here.

I did't play the original. I was in my last year of college and was more vested in Madden and fighting games to pick this up. Now I'm really looking forward to it.

This was one of my favorites from the PS1 era, and I'm glad to see the updated version looks just as good. I'll pick it up and it'll be one of very few games I've played multiple times (the backlog is just too huge for that nonsense).

It saddens me to see the developers didn't put as much care into this one as they could/should have. I've waited for this one for a loooong time, so I will eventually pick it up. As a major SRPG fan, I'm sure I'll enjoy it, warts and all.

I'm only seeing the download code on Amazon, not the physical release. It is the lower price, but...

For my Switch, I only have the Academy/Outcast release. Commando/Racer is on my list of "soon", so I might just pick this up.
