I don't think they caused any damage. If anything, they helped temper expectations.

I think maybe they ran into a production issue is why the reveal, then 3 months to anything substantial, then probably 2 or 3 more months to release. I think maybe when they said it would be reveled by the end of the quarter, they though they could go retail shortly after. A lot can happen in 9 months.

The Working Designs PS1 collector's editions have long been a highlight of my collection. Glad to see the re-re-release for those who've never played them.

I don't think it's too big, but I'm a daily user of a 10" tablet. I like my Lite, but it's really too small.

I like how each leans heavily into the regional art styles of the period. For me, this one comes down to format. The Japanese one is cleaner and bolder due to the use of the space. The American one loses due to the crampedness of the art.

Honestly? I'd call them even.

I enjoyed the first game's demo, but still haven't bought it. This one looks good as well. May have to track down that CE just for the artbook.

Glad to see someone in the industry is adding rather than subtracting.

I don't know. Looks like any of a dozen different games I've played on my phone, but Star Trek.

The PS2 was still selling after the PS3 launch. No reason to think it won't be the same for the Switch.

I managed to pick up Gundam Breaker 4 and Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters on sale from Amazon. Giving Breaker a try first.

For those of you not old enough to remember the wild west of PC gaming device drivers pre-Win98, let me tell you, getting a game to run was a chore. The only reason I remember this game is because of how much work I put in for years across several PCs trying to get it to run. Never did. Maybe now's my chance.

Looking forward to this one. I had this one on my need-to-buy list for ages but never picked it up. I will be remedying that.

It's pretty cool! I got into vinyl several years ago (it went out when I was a teenager), but I already can't afford to buy new vinyl releases as the prices of even 90's re-releases is sky high. I never got into buying digitally, but vinyl prices are trying to push me there. Guess I'll stick with CDs.

Anyway, as pointed out above, pressing digital music to analog vinyl is silly. Pretty, but silly.

For me, backwards compatibility is most useful for running older games at better quality. Having a Lite means I /could/ keep using it and playing all my old stuff if the new console wasn't backward compatible. Just like I still play my DS.

But the prospect of a few notable games running better on the new system without rebuying is pretty sweet.

After the last article about them "not being able" to separate the garden for a standalone game, I dug out my Dreamcast to fire up Sonic Adventures 1 and 2. Unfortunately, my Dreamcast has lost the ability to read discs. However. I did find 2 Sonic A1 chaos and 1 Sonic A2 Chao on my VMUs (Along with the Skies of Arcadia ship).

I have to say, the no rolling d-pad is a pretty big con. I'm no fighting game expert, but that seems to be a big miss.

I hope I have the same feelings as you when I give this a try, because I also have felt "over" the traditional Zelda dungeons.
