At almost the same tender age (a mere 2 years prior to the beginning of your story), I asked my parents for either an NES or a Genesis for Christmas. Didn't matter which, just one or the other would be great!

@Yosher Unfortunately, no, they dont think about anything but making a buck. Just like most people running around this world right now, "As long as I get mine, who cares?" seems to be the world mantra right now.

As a pinball aficionado, I like being able to see more of the table on the Japanese version.

I'm staggered that anyone values WB that highly! I get that they've got some useful IPs under their umbrella, but that is waaay too high.

I think it'll be interesting to see how this one shakes out over the coming weeks. Sounds like they made some pretty drastic formula changes, which I can appreciate. But devs on series such as these are often in a no-win situation: more of the same = bad, stray too far away from more of the same = bad.
Hopefully the game gets a fair, "reviewed in a vacuum" shake.

I completely geek-out every time one of these videos drops. The cosmic side of Marvel was fantastic during the Annihilation sagas and then the 90's cartoon aesthetic is brilliant!

Even at 90$ US its pretty tempting. If it had a vertical mode as well, I think I'd be all over it.

Both are terribly boring.

My backlog dates back to the PS1 (everything before that is played) and covers, PS1, PS2, PS3, GBA, DS, 3DS, GameCube, PSP, and Switch. That's just games I own and haven't played.

I'm a buyer, apparently.

One of my all-time favorites. The first game I ever took the time to play through more than once (too many good games to bother with that nonsense). Sakimoto once again delivered a fantastic score. And the in-game art is sublime, I love those nose-less little peeps.

My copy just arrived. The poster of the job classes that came with it caused waves of nostalgia to wash over me. The art, the music, the gameplay...all of it 10/10.

That's always been one of my favorite parts of the Tactics sub-genre: playing with the jobs.

Speaking of that one "con" regarding the soundtrack: I'm considering buying the vinyl release because it comes with a digital download for the entire soundtrack, including 31(!) tracks not on the (excellent) OST.

I think FFT may be my favorite game of all time. It started me down a rabbit hole of playing every srpg that came along.
It also set me onto Sakimoto's music which are also some of my favorite compositions.
