I need to put more time into this one but I really loved what I've played

it's probably beyond the scope of this collection but it would be nice if they added an option to play Dawn of Sorrow with the luck stat fixed, as it's famously broken in that game, same with Aria of Sorrow in the Advance Collection

I'm gonna wait and see if they add Tetris Plus games to this as the other games don't interest me, neither does the museum aspect given how The Tetris Company is the same company that changed the origin date of Tetris back in 2009 just because they felt like running a 25th anniversary campaign that year, so who knows if anything in the museum part of this collection will be in any way accurate to the history of Tetris

still now convinced, I don't see these extra modes holding up after a few playthroughs, like I said elsewhere I wish they just focused on the main mode

@Max_the_German the file size is too big for it to be related to streaming, all streaming apps are less than half a gigabyte, just look up the cloud games available on Switch

after playing Climax for a long time it's a bit hard for me to go back to this one but it's still a pretty good game and way better than SNES, Maximum Velocity or 99 imo

@Don Tetris Attack is not a Tetris game, it's a Panel de Pon/Puzzle League game and Nintendo owns that

@Zeebor15 they closed down in 2001 but a different company named Blue Planet Software was funded in 1996 as a successor to Bullet-Proof Software (don't ask me how a company funded in 1996 is a successor to a company that closed 5 years later, i don't know) and in 2020 that company got rolled into The Tetris Company

I'm definitely picking up Ys X and I'll probably pick up Yakuza Kiwami, idk if I'm gonna get Super Mario Party Jamboree because the focus on side modes doesn't inspire confidence in me, I need to see how Sonic X Shadow Generations runs on Switch before I decide if I want to pick it up
Outside of this list the other things I'm getting are Card-en-Ciel, ASTLIBRA Gaiden and Blasphemous II: Mea Culpa DLC

my problem with Superstars wasn't really the lack of modes because the extra modes in previous games were just a distraction to me, something I play once and never touch again, so I was hoping for the next game that they would just not bother with extra modes at all and just focus on the main mode but it seems like I'm not getting that and instead they again overload the game with extra modes that don't have the staying power of the main mode

it's $5 on launch sale right now so I might get it just to see if it's at least fun to play but I wish they had an option for the original visuals, I don't know how hard it would be to implement that at this point but maybe it's something they can patch in later

@Clyde_Radcliffe I feel like if Arcade Archives TGM3 was going to happen it would've by now given how quickly TGM2 got an Arcade Archives release after the first one, plus that game runs on some Windows based arcade board so that might be tricky to emulate

@Snatcher if you play Tetris to be relaxed then you should probably avoid the TGM games, they are very difficult and aren't made to be relaxing

@Clyde_Radcliffe a couple days ago the TGM twitter account posted a zoomed in screenshot from the location test version of TGM4 (they've deleted it though) so I think it might actually be TGM4
I just hope that it'll release on consoles and not just arcades

but will they come up with a better subtitle than Terror Instinct?

@MSaturn I can't speak for everyone but personally Worms 3D was a bit too janky in it's execution for me to enjoy it fully even though it had a lot I liked about it
Worms 4 however was a big improvement and the remaster, Ultimate Mayhem, was even better and is my second favorite game in the series right behind Armageddon (that version even has all single player missions and multiplayer maps from 3D) and I wish it got a modern rerelease

I feel like if it was at least partially legit then Nintendo would've made some sort of "nuh uh" statement like they did when 3DS XL leaked or maybe they would even reveal the thing last week but none of those happened so I'm leaning on it probably being fake
Edit: Although I will say that I do expect that Switch 2 will look similar to this "leak" given the statements from Nintendo how the next console will be more of a "next Switch model" rather than a brand new thing and personally that's what I want anyway, just a more powerful version of the Switch that's backwards compatible with both physical and digital games

I like the idea of the Europe one but the composition leaves something to be desired, and the North America one is just Japan but with much worse colors

@larryisaman the DLC content unlocks after you get Shadow of the Simurgh power, which you get 1/3 into the game so it's definitely not post-game content, plus when you enter there you lose access to most of the upgrades you earn in the main game so it's not like entering there after you beat the game will make any difference

It looks like what I expected it to look like given the comments how the next console is going to be a "next Switch model" rather than something completely new and I'm fine with that but why is Nintendo still allergic to analog triggers?

Why do people think that Nintendo will reveal Switch 2 in a normal Direct instead of giving it it's own trailer?
Anyway I'm so tired of constant "rumors" about Switch 2, don't people have massive backlogs of games to play? Maybe it's a good time to get through some of that

I expected that, I just hope that it's rock solid 30 and isn't too blurry

@MARl0 and even on PS5 it had frame drops from what I've seen, it feels like they didn't even bother with optimizing that game

@HeroYoshiko crossplay on other platforms is already unstable, adding Switch to the mix where most people don't play on LAN would make things even worse
like obviously I would prefer if it had crossplay but if it's going to make the online experience worse then it's better to not have it

makes sense considering the online connectivity issues the Switch can have plus a lot of people who play online games on Switch play on wi-fi so that would cause a lot of problems for people playing on other systems
