I still have zero interest in this or an actual "Zelda Maker", part of the fun of dungeons in Zelda games isn't just that they're fun to solve but also how they tie into the overall progression of the games, having a game that's just dungeons and nothing else removes a ton of the appeal of Zelda games for me
@LadyCharlie big disagree, this game is already fantastic so there really isn't anything the remake could do to improve it and it would risk making it worse, Mario VS Donkey Kong in it's original version had a lot of flaws that could be (and were) easily fixed in the remake, imo it's always better to remake a game that has flaws preventing it from being great instead of a game that's already great
if this was going to be a cross-gen game for this Switch and Switch 2 wouldn't they tell us when they announced the Switch's successor just like they announced that BOTW was going to be cross-gen when they announced the Switch (which was called NX at the time)?
why is 2/3 of this so-called "Sega Pass" filled with Sonic characters? you might as well just make the last 2 characters also come from Sonic and just call it a Sonic Pass at that point
Finishing up TTYD (I'm on the last chapter) and after that I'm gonna start either Animal Well or Paper Trail I've also picked up some Groove Coaster Wai Wai Party dlc on sale so I've been playing that a bunch
never got far in this game when I played it as a kid but I enjoyed what I've played of it so I'll definitely pick this up, I just hope that there is an option to use the old soundtrack, they still haven't said if there is or not
Oh my god, it still exists!!! Great to hear because I'm very interested in playing DQIII not only because I heard it's a really good game but also I want to have context for DQ Builders 3 which is 100% a thing that will happen soon and I am not coping (I totally am)
watch them find a different excuse to make these cloud versions again
"one of our programmers hurt their pinky toe and we just can't make native versions in these conditions so we decided to use cloud technology again"
I finally finished Megaton Musashi W: Wired earlier in the week so now I'm playing through Tinykin which I picked up on sale and I'm having a really good time with it (except for the time attack challenges, those are hell when going for platinum medals)
Adventure ended up higher than I thought it would, I played through that game to 100% completion recently and it's so bad, really repetitive and frustrating missions, really annoying to navigate overworld and the regular monkey ball levels that play horribly due to completely busted physics engine, turns out reusing the engine that was used for a one-off gameplay segment in Crash Twinsanity wasn't a good idea
still better than 3D though because at least Adventure didn't bore me to sleep, 3D can barely be classified as a game in my eyes
also why is the original Wii version of Banana Blitz higher than HD? the only thing the Wii version has over HD is the soundtrack imo
@Ogbert Championship Edition is on Pac-Man Museum+, unless you mean Championship Edition DX in which case yeah that's stuck on Xbox 360 and PS3 which sucks @HammerGalladeBro it's not DX that's on there, it's the original Championship Edition, I wish it was DX but alas
5/10 is generous tbh, I played it for like 2 hours and most of the matches I didn't even feel like I was competing against other people, it just felt like I was playing a widescreen version of the original Pac-Man except there are some new power-ups and I could go to other mazes sometimes and 9 out 10 matches I won was because the other players died from ghosts, it feels like what you do in the game has very little effect on how the match is gonna go
I'm not picking this up but I hope we get a sequel to that part of Indie Game: The Movie where Jon Blow cries on camera because Soulja Boy wasn't enjoying the game "the right way"
@Serpenterror lol, "gramps" saying "these way more popular and successful games can get a console port so why this much less popular and successful game can't?" isn't a rebuttal you think it is
@Serpenterror I said very difficult, not impossible dimwit yes it does happen but not every developer has the time and/or resources to do it, otherwise we would see a lot more games made in Clickteam on consoles
I really hope this is more replayable than the first Hades, even though I enjoyed it after I experienced all of the main story content I didn't feel like there was any reason to keep playing, it felt like I did everything there was to do and seen everything there was to see and that's the biggest flaw a roguelike can have imo, so hopefully the sequel fixes that
@Serpenterror @SailorShulk9 the first game is made in Clickteam Fusion which is very difficult to port from so unless that game gets remade in a different engine it will remain as a PC exclusive
I've been interested in this one ever since it showed up in one of the Indie World directs and I'm happy to hear it turned out so well, I definitely want to play this as soon as I can
@CaptainCluck nah, for enterprise it's $42,000 for the lowest access tier, the expensive one is $210,000
and that's per month
and that's only the minimum, it can be much higher depending on how much companies want to use it
No, even if you have it just be a 3D World level maker it would either be too complicated for your average joe or you'd have to simplify it so much that it would make all the levels made in it very samey
And there is also a fact that regular Mario Maker is filled with garbage, I can't imagine how much worse it would be if it was 3D
This is just one of those thing that, just like Zelda Maker, people think they want but don't really realize how much it would require to make something decent in (although Zelda Maker has a lot of it's own issues that would make it not that fun but that's a topic for a different day)
@epicgamner yeah but now it's gonna turn into "it's gonna be revealed this month!!!" or "it's gonna be revealed this week!!!" which sounds like bigger headache than the previous rumor mill
I never played Rainbow Curse but I did play Canvas Curse and didn't really like it so I'm not sure I would enjoy the follow-up, it looks very pretty though and I wouldn't be opposed to trying it out Pushmo on the other hand I would be very excited if it came to Switch, either a new one or a collection of older ones
@Beanbon @Zeebor15 did you read the article? it says right there that the original trademarks still exist, so this isn't just for the purpose of renewing the trademarks not saying anything will come out of it but it's a much bigger possibility than Triple Deluxe, which was really only renewed because the original trademark was expiring
@Maubari I'm gonna be real with you, even if there wasn't any Kirby games coming this year you still wouldn't be getting a DK game because unlike Kirby there aren't any developers who could be making a DK game right now
sounds like the Championship Mode from the NES Remix but expanded which sounds really fun, that was my favorite part of NES Remix, and "NES Edition" implies that they'll do this with SNES, GB, etc.
I don't know about the "Mario is another franchise that seems to know how to make a good water level", in most of 2D Mario games I find water levels to be really slow and not very fun, and in 3D ones they're even worse, I can't stand the Mario 64 water levels, beside the music they have absolutely nothing going for them The only times I enjoyed water levels in a Mario game were Galaxy with that shell you can pick up, Odyssey with the Cheep Cheep capture and Wonder thanks to the Dolphin Kick badge It's funny how 20,000 Lums Under the Sea is on this list because for 80% of that world you're not even in water, so it's not much of a water world One of my favorite water levels that I don't expect anyone to pick is the Burst Man stage in Mega Man 7, that level has a gimmick where after a miniboss the water turns purple and it pushes you upwards, and there is a section where that water rises up and down so you need to be careful about your positioning because you can't jump out of it and I personally find that really fun
