Most of the music in this game just isn't hitting for me, even the Tee Lopes stuff, the only song I liked so far is the remix of Green Cave from the first Sonic Riders
It's a shame because for all of it's faults Team Sonic Racing really nailed the soundtrack imo and I was hoping for the same with this game but it seems like that won't be the case
Idk if I will get this, I like a good shoot'em up but I tried a few R-Type games (1, 2, Super, 3 and Final 2) and none of them clicked with me I love a good low poly PS1 aesthetic though so that might be enough to make me try it out, probably on Steam though just so I can refund it in case I happen to dislike it
I won't say no to new characters but I think the roster is good as is now and I would like them to add some more stages, heck I would gladly pay for them given how much they already added to this game for free
But like I said, I'll gladly take a few new characters and apparently they'll be adding 4 more before the end of the year so I'll be looking forward to that
The announcement of Well Dweller from the Crypt Custodian developer (which is a game I really liked) made me want to play through the other games from that developer that I haven't yet. Going through Sheepo right and it's pretty neat so far, I heard that it's short so I might be able to finish it today and start Islets. I've also been playing a bunch of UFO 50, I had it on Steam and played it a decent bit but it always felt like it would work better as a handheld game so now that I have it on my Switch 2 I'm definitely going to be playing it a lot more
@Ellie-Moo even on Switch 2 it doesn't feel good and it's all because they still haven't fixed the scrolling updating at a lower rate than it should, so the whole game just feels jittery despite the frame rate being 60
too bad this update also broke the colors and pallets in the game, on both Switch 1 and 2, and they still didn't fix the scrolling not updating at 60 FPS
man this port is a disaster
I thought it was decent, typical Partner Showcase
Couple of games I'm really interested in and the rest that aren't for me, that's how it is with every showcase of only third party stuff so I'm not sure what makes this one so much worse than the previous ones
"Plus, if you already own Yakuza Kiwami on Switch, you'll be able to upgrade to the Switch 2 version at a discounted price." Where does this info come from?
@Serpenterror it's not Nintendo's fault that 3rd party devs are cheap, if key cards didn't exist then they would just do codes in boxes or use the smallest cartridges and have big mandatory downloads anyway
@Yalloo I think you meant to say AoC at the end there instead of DE and idk, if it gets a Switch 2 update that lets it run at 60 fps then I might give it another shot but otherwise I'll just stick to Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition
I really hope I'll like this game better than Age of Calamity, I can't put my finger on why but that game to me felt worse to play than the original Hyrule Warriors and it wasn't just because of the performance, so hopefully Age of Imprisonment fixes that issue I had
@Bunkerneath regular Nintendo Directs are announced a day before, so if there was one on Thursday (either this or next week) then it would be announced on Wednesday
@Aventurier those lists haven't been updated since june 5th, there are multiple games on there that have since been made compatible but are still listed as not working, so it's not an accurate source of info for that
@Flapflop given everything that the developers said about the technical problems with this and Mario Kart World when they were still Switch 1 games it's guaranteed that they would run like absolute dogs*** there, so no, a dual release was not possible
couple more Switch 1 games I tested that run better on Switch 2: Nine Sols Bugsnax Both Grapple Dog games Archvale TMNT: Splintered Fate Have a Nice Death Lonely Mountains: Downhill Slime-San Terror of Hemasaurus Cursed to Golf Wizard of Legend Streets of Rogue Gravity Circuit Blade Chimera Record of Lodoss War-Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth- WARRIORS: Abyss
I would really prefer the Nightdive remaster of Forsaken to be ported to Switch (which I'm shocked it hasn't happened yet, why is Xbox the only console that has it?) but I guess I'll take the N64 version
I'm fine with them not working on a sequel, I love Dredge but it doesn't feel like a game that needs a part 2, would love a new game with a similar vibe though
@Jeff there is no native Switch 2 version right now but the eshop page says that the Switch 1 version is compatible with Switch 2, hopefully that doesn't change before launch
it would be nice if it also had a 120 FPS mode at 1080p (or maybe even 1440p)
I'm really interested in this game, it's such a weird idea but from reading interviews about it the devs seem really passionate so I'm very curious how it turned out
I always find hard modes added after launch to games that weren't difficult in the slightest to be more annoying and frustrating than actually challenging in a satisfying way, so if I had the game I probably wouldn't even bother with it but who knows, maybe they implemented it in a way that works well
@cedarhyped "Is this the first free Switch 2 upgrade that wasn’t a launch-day update?" Nope, Splatoon 3 was first "I’m curious what they’ll actually improve" Frame rate for one, on Switch 1 it ran at 30 FPS which is fine but 60 would be preferable, plus because it was 720p in handheld on Switch 1 that means it looks blurry on Switch 2's screen so that could use an improvement
@PinderSchloss I wouldn't count that game out (and other Xenoblade games) for a Switch 2 patch yet, they can easily announce that on a random day through the Nintendo Today app like they did with Splatoon 3 I imagine the reason it hasn't happened yet is because Monolith was too busy with other stuff

Re: Captain Toad Returns In This Week's Nintendo Music Update
I'm still disappointed the Switch 2 update didn't add mouse controls, they would've been perfect for this game

Re: Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac Is A Big Glow-Up On Switch & Switch 2
the biggest upgrade is that the dog actually looks like a dog and not a pac-guy that walks on all fours

@LazyDaisy nothing
because it wasn't even announced yet
Re: Crypt Custodian & Islets Dev Is Bringing Another Gorgeous Metroidvania To Switch Next Year

Re: Review: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound (Switch) - A Gorgeous & Gory Return To The Series' 2D Roots
I'm gonna wait for an update that let's it run at 60 FPS on Switch 2, not touching it otherwise

Re: Yakuza Kiwami 2 Brawls Onto Switch 2 In November
@Vyacheslav333 that game barely ran on PS4, no way Switch 1 would handle it even with a ton of downgrades

@PikaPhantom that's what the most recent patch is for but there was another patch before this one that fixed crashing issues on Switch 2

@Daggot Will of the Wisps is the game that got the visual changes and downgrades to make it work on Switch 1, not Blind Forest

THQ was teasing a new Spongebob game last year so this is probably it

correct series, wrong game

Have a Nice Death
Lonely Mountains: Downhill
Slime-San
Terror of Hemasaurus
Cursed to Golf
Wizard of Legend
