@Mgalens yeah I probably should've specified that I was talking about the original Pac-Man World 2 and you're right, it looks like they fixed my problem with the bosses repeating which I am happy about
apparently the PS5 version also has performance issues and I don't understand how, the game doesn't look like it'd be intensive on the hardware, heck I'd say the PS3 Hot Shots game looks better than this
Did Jamboree not run at 1080p on Switch 1 already? Or are they talking about handheld mode? This is so vague for no reason, would it kill them to explain this properly?
I recently played through the original game and it was very rough The unpolished mechanics, awful camera and cheap level design in the second half of the game really got on my nerves, not to mention the ridiculous 100% completion requirements and reused boss fights So quite frankly I don't really care how this remake looks and sounds compared to the original because as long as they polish the mechanics and camera significantly, make 100%ing the game a thousand times less annoying and redesign parts of the levels to be less cheap then I'll be happy And given everything I saw of this remake so far I'm sure that'll be the case, as well as how the remake of the first Pac-Man World also took a very rough game and made it much more playable and fun
@SirLink yeah but he directed the game and voiced some of the characters and I personally cannot stand his style of humor or the voice he puts on for the characters he voices
@Qwiff Are we talking about handheld mode? Because the game doesn't run at 1080p on Switch 2 in handheld, it's still 720p, there is no native Switch 2 version or any kind of Switch 2 patch
"- Removed ambient occlusion option due to performance concerns." Kind of a weird change tbh, I get that it may cause performance issues on Switch 1 but on Switch 2 it shouldn't be a problem, so why not just leave it in and have it be turned off by default and let people turn it on if they have a Switch 2?
I'm missing the Dream Buffet and Return to Dream Land Deluxe themes so I'll be sure to get them this weekend Still missing a bunch of other themes, really wish they'd let you unlock the older ones with tickets at this point
So that pretty much deconfirms the theory some people had that Nintendo split the release of this soundtrack into two parts because they wanted to add the music from Star-Crossed World
the article image didn't load for me for a few seconds for some reason (probably something with my internet) so at first I thought this was going to be about the Mega Man X games
it's nice that the upgrade pack is so cheap but it also makes me ask the same question that the Fantasy Life i Switch 2 upgrade pack price did, if it's gonna be so cheap then why not just make it free?
@Mgalens Bamco is weird with the Switch 2 upgrades too, Shadow Labyrinth got a free Switch 2 upgrade pack but the Little Nightmare games don't get anything, but then DBZ Sparking Zero gets a Switch 2 update that essentially turns it into a Switch 2 version but Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac doesn't get anything
Bamco is so weird with which games get a Switch 2 version and which don't Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac gets a Switch 2 version but this doesn't Dragon Ball Sparking Zero does but Once Upon a Katamari doesn't Little Nightmares III and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition do but Everybody's Golf doesn't Make it make sense
that's a chunky file size but I'm still going digital for this one, racing games are something that I typically don't play in long sessions but rather sporadically in short bursts so having them digitally makes way more sense in my case
Most of the music in this game just isn't hitting for me, even the Tee Lopes stuff, the only song I liked so far is the remix of Green Cave from the first Sonic Riders
It's a shame because for all of it's faults Team Sonic Racing really nailed the soundtrack imo and I was hoping for the same with this game but it seems like that won't be the case
Idk if I will get this, I like a good shoot'em up but I tried a few R-Type games (1, 2, Super, 3 and Final 2) and none of them clicked with me I love a good low poly PS1 aesthetic though so that might be enough to make me try it out, probably on Steam though just so I can refund it in case I happen to dislike it
I won't say no to new characters but I think the roster is good as is now and I would like them to add some more stages, heck I would gladly pay for them given how much they already added to this game for free
But like I said, I'll gladly take a few new characters and apparently they'll be adding 4 more before the end of the year so I'll be looking forward to that
The announcement of Well Dweller from the Crypt Custodian developer (which is a game I really liked) made me want to play through the other games from that developer that I haven't yet. Going through Sheepo right and it's pretty neat so far, I heard that it's short so I might be able to finish it today and start Islets. I've also been playing a bunch of UFO 50, I had it on Steam and played it a decent bit but it always felt like it would work better as a handheld game so now that I have it on my Switch 2 I'm definitely going to be playing it a lot more
@Ellie-Moo even on Switch 2 it doesn't feel good and it's all because they still haven't fixed the scrolling updating at a lower rate than it should, so the whole game just feels jittery despite the frame rate being 60
too bad this update also broke the colors and pallets in the game, on both Switch 1 and 2, and they still didn't fix the scrolling not updating at 60 FPS
man this port is a disaster

it's out on the EU eShop now too
Re: Super Mario Party Jamboree Updated For Switch 2 And Switch (Version 2.2.0)
@topsekret @Riku3456 on that website there is an asterisk that says it's for Jamboree TV only, it's stupid but it is as advertised
Re: Super Mario Party Jamboree Updated For Switch 2 And Switch (Version 2.2.0)

This is so vague for no reason, would it kill them to explain this properly?
Re: Super Mario Party Jamboree Updated For Switch 2 And Switch (Version 2.2.0)
@Suketoudara How would a resolution increase on Switch 2 cause compatibility issues with Switch 1 players online? This makes zero sense
Re: Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac Looks Waka Waka Wonderful In New Gameplay Trailer
@Pak-Man @ElRoberico this doesn't have a Switch 2 upgrade path

Re: Another Switch Game Just Got A Free Switch 2 Upgrade - Includes Higher Frame Rate, Enhanced Resolution And More
Is this game any good? I know that it's not funny because it's Justin Roiland but I wonder if it's worth playing with voices muted
Re: Another Switch Game Just Got A Free Switch 2 Upgrade - Includes Higher Frame Rate, Enhanced Resolution And More
@iLikeUrAttitude Sony stopped doing free PS5 upgrades for PS4 games years ago, and third party developers aren't that much better about doing that
Re: Multiple Kirby Themes Return In Tetris 99's 'Second Chance' Maximus Cup
@gcunit I already have those
and I did check, the ones I'm missing are still not available to unlock with tickets

@Oldstalk it doesn't, there are brand new remixes and songs made just for Star-Crossed World

Bamco is so weird with which games get a Switch 2 version and which don't
Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac gets a Switch 2 version but this doesn't
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero does but Once Upon a Katamari doesn't
Little Nightmares III and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition do but Everybody's Golf doesn't
Make it make sense
Re: Official Box Art For Kirby Air Riders Revealed, Price And File Size Confirmed
that's a chunky file size but I'm still going digital for this one, racing games are something that I typically don't play in long sessions but rather sporadically in short bursts so having them digitally makes way more sense in my case

@UltimateOtaku91 I hate to break it to you but the original was also a multiplayer game

it's definitely the latter

I'm still disappointed the Switch 2 update didn't add mouse controls, they would've been perfect for this game

just give me UFO 50 and I'll be happy
Re: Review: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound (Switch) - A Gorgeous & Gory Return To The Series' 2D Roots

Re: Yakuza Kiwami 2 Brawls Onto Switch 2 In November
@Vyacheslav333 that game barely ran on PS4, no way Switch 1 would handle it even with a ton of downgrades
