@iLikeUrAttitude Sony stopped doing free PS5 upgrades for PS4 games years ago, and third party developers aren't that much better about doing that

@Oldstalk it doesn't, there are brand new remixes and songs made just for Star-Crossed World

I'm missing the Dream Buffet and Return to Dream Land Deluxe themes so I'll be sure to get them this weekend
Still missing a bunch of other themes, really wish they'd let you unlock the older ones with tickets at this point

So that pretty much deconfirms the theory some people had that Nintendo split the release of this soundtrack into two parts because they wanted to add the music from Star-Crossed World

the article image didn't load for me for a few seconds for some reason (probably something with my internet) so at first I thought this was going to be about the Mega Man X games

it's nice that the upgrade pack is so cheap but it also makes me ask the same question that the Fantasy Life i Switch 2 upgrade pack price did, if it's gonna be so cheap then why not just make it free?

@Mgalens Bamco is weird with the Switch 2 upgrades too, Shadow Labyrinth got a free Switch 2 upgrade pack but the Little Nightmare games don't get anything, but then DBZ Sparking Zero gets a Switch 2 update that essentially turns it into a Switch 2 version but Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac doesn't get anything

Bamco is so weird with which games get a Switch 2 version and which don't
Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac gets a Switch 2 version but this doesn't
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero does but Once Upon a Katamari doesn't
Little Nightmares III and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition do but Everybody's Golf doesn't

that's a chunky file size but I'm still going digital for this one, racing games are something that I typically don't play in long sessions but rather sporadically in short bursts so having them digitally makes way more sense in my case

Most of the music in this game just isn't hitting for me, even the Tee Lopes stuff, the only song I liked so far is the remix of Green Cave from the first Sonic Riders
It's a shame because for all of it's faults Team Sonic Racing really nailed the soundtrack imo and I was hoping for the same with this game but it seems like that won't be the case

@OorWullie oh I already played G-Darius and I adore it, one of my favorite games of all time

Idk if I will get this, I like a good shoot'em up but I tried a few R-Type games (1, 2, Super, 3 and Final 2) and none of them clicked with me
I love a good low poly PS1 aesthetic though so that might be enough to make me try it out, probably on Steam though just so I can refund it in case I happen to dislike it

I won't say no to new characters but I think the roster is good as is now and I would like them to add some more stages, heck I would gladly pay for them given how much they already added to this game for free
But like I said, I'll gladly take a few new characters and apparently they'll be adding 4 more before the end of the year so I'll be looking forward to that

I'm still disappointed the Switch 2 update didn't add mouse controls, they would've been perfect for this game

The announcement of Well Dweller from the Crypt Custodian developer (which is a game I really liked) made me want to play through the other games from that developer that I haven't yet. Going through Sheepo right and it's pretty neat so far, I heard that it's short so I might be able to finish it today and start Islets. I've also been playing a bunch of UFO 50, I had it on Steam and played it a decent bit but it always felt like it would work better as a handheld game so now that I have it on my Switch 2 I'm definitely going to be playing it a lot more

the biggest upgrade is that the dog actually looks like a dog and not a pac-guy that walks on all fours

@Markiemania95 no it's getting a native Switch 2 version, the trailer title even says "Nintendo Switch 2" and Switch 2 logo is in the thumbnail

Getting the upgrade pack day one, I'm really excited to check out the new content, plus it'll be nice to replay the base game at 60 FPS

@Ellie-Moo even on Switch 2 it doesn't feel good and it's all because they still haven't fixed the scrolling updating at a lower rate than it should, so the whole game just feels jittery despite the frame rate being 60

too bad this update also broke the colors and pallets in the game, on both Switch 1 and 2, and they still didn't fix the scrolling not updating at 60 FPS

Couple of games I'm really interested in and the rest that aren't for me, that's how it is with every showcase of only third party stuff so I'm not sure what makes this one so much worse than the previous ones

@Haruki_NLI in the Direct they showed the Switch 2 version of the game and it was running at 60 FPS

@Serpenterror it's not Nintendo's fault that 3rd party devs are cheap, if key cards didn't exist then they would just do codes in boxes or use the smallest cartridges and have big mandatory downloads anyway

@PikaPhantom that's what the most recent patch is for but there was another patch before this one that fixed crashing issues on Switch 2

@Daggot Will of the Wisps is the game that got the visual changes and downgrades to make it work on Switch 1, not Blind Forest

and idk, if it gets a Switch 2 update that lets it run at 60 fps then I might give it another shot but otherwise I'll just stick to Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition

I really hope I'll like this game better than Age of Calamity, I can't put my finger on why but that game to me felt worse to play than the original Hyrule Warriors and it wasn't just because of the performance, so hopefully Age of Imprisonment fixes that issue I had

@Bunkerneath regular Nintendo Directs are announced a day before, so if there was one on Thursday (either this or next week) then it would be announced on Wednesday

@Aventurier those lists haven't been updated since june 5th, there are multiple games on there that have since been made compatible but are still listed as not working, so it's not an accurate source of info for that

I'll be getting my copy tomorrow, super excited to play this
