I bought the upgrade pack and I didn't get the Werehog DLC, is it only available for people who buy the whole Switch 2 Edition and not just the upgrade pack? If so then that's really stupid
I'm reading all these cons and thinking "yup, it's a follow up to TMNT Shredder's Revenge alright", these are all issues I had with Shredder's Revenge, none of them stopped me from really enjoying it (although I still would play SoR4, Fight'N Rage and Double Dragon Gaiden over it any day) but it is disappointing that this game didn't address any of that But I still really liked that game and I'm sure I like this one as well, I just don't expect it to beat out Absolum for me
I want to finish DQ2 in the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, and I also want to play Neon Inferno and finally play the full version of Absolum (I played the Steam demo and loved it, plus Streets of Rage 4 is my favorite beat'em up of all time so a new beat'em up from Guard Crush is a no-brainer for me) but realistically what's probably gonna happen is I'll just keep playing more of Kirby Air Riders
@Drnsnsr ok so when I was looking it up I couldn't find if there was an upgrade at all but I looked a bit more and I think I found an answer, there was and it was free for a limited time but then it became paid later on
It's real!!! They released it today, aside from upgraded resolution and frame rate there is also support for the camera and Joy-Con 2 mouse controls @FishyS there is an upgrade pack and it's $10
@Jedrus_Lilac Yeah, it's not like Nintendo released multiple free upgrades for their Switch 1 games, that didn't happen at all
For the record, this isn't me saying that you can't dislike the fact that a bunch of the upgrades they released are paid but saying that they didn't do any upgrades for free is just plainly wrong
Well, turns out I was wrong, I was fully expecting Rockstar to make people pay the full price again like they did with GTA V on PS5 and Xbox Series w/e but I'm glad that's not the case
I would say that I hope for an upgrade path if you already own the Switch 1 version but given how Rockstar didn't offer an upgrade path for GTA V on PS5 I don't think they'll do that for RDR
Heck yeah!! I played this game when it was in Early Access on Steam and it was really fun, I prefer playing roguelikes on a handheld though so I'm happy it''s finally coming on Switch 2 (that's the version I'll be playing) and Switch
I don't get why people are saying that this should be included in the Switch 2 release, the game will be barely a year old when it launches on Switch 2 and if people on other platforms have to pay for this DLC then I don't see why Nintendo players should get it for free
They released a Switch 2 Edition of this game yesterday, it upgrades the resolution to 4K in docked mode and 1080p in handheld, and it adds Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, the upgrade pack costs $5
@OldGamer999 the Global Test Ride IS a demo, it lets you play the lessons and Air Ride mode offline, City Trial is the only mode that's online only in that demo, and it is available for download right now, at least in EU
Maybe I would get it on a sale if there was a Switch 2 version but I don't like the idea of playing beat'em ups at 30 FPS so I'll stick to Double Dragon Gaiden and Neon for my Double Dragon fix
I finished DQ1 and now I'm going through DQ2, unlike DQ3 where my first exposure to it was the HD-2D remake I actually did play DQ 1 and 2 beforehand (via the Switch ports of the mobile versions) so I can better appreciate all the additions and QoL improvements these remakes add DQ1 was fun and the new story beats are cool but I feel like the difficulty spike in the second half is a bit harsh and some spells should've been given to you a bit earlier than they are, still a good game though and it's my favorite version of the game by far I'm pretty early into DQ2 but I'm enjoying it, I remember the later parts of the game (in the Switch port of the mobile version at least) being kinda annoying so hopefully the remake improves those parts
@the_beaver I'm not sure if this is a serious question or not but the game came out in October, the first line of article even says that, plus why would there be an update to a game that isn't out yet?
@AmplifyMJ I remember reading something about how the situation is similar to the Switch 1 where indie devs also had trouble getting the dev kits for 6-7 months after launch, and that currently Nintendo is mainly giving Switch 2 dev kits to indie studios that need the extra power of Switch 2
I tried the demo and it runs horribly, it randomly drops to 20-25 FPS in performance mode (or lower if you dare to open a chest), hopefully they full version doesn't have that issue but this was an awful first impression
In the video you can clearly see they're using the "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" branding for the Switch 2 versions of Lorelei and Sayonara, so that pretty much confirms an upgrade path
Cool news, I wanted to play those game at some point so now I'll just wait for the Switch 2 Editions
I finished Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake a few days ago (great game, loved my time with it) so now I'm playing Ninja Gaiden Ragebound and I'm having a blast, I think I'm pretty close to finishing it so after that I'll probably start SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance so I can knock out both of the ninja action platformers from this year off my backlog I also been playing a bit of Powerwash Simulator 2 and it's just as fun and chill as the first game I also want to try out Angry Video Game Nerd 8-bit, normally I wouldn't care about another AVGN game because I didn't really like AVGN Adventures 1 and 2 but this one was worked on by Programancer, the dev of Prison City, which is a fantastic game so anything he worked on immediately gets my attention
I started Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake recently, really enjoying it so far, hopefully I can finish it before I & II Remake comes out I also picked up BALL x PIT and been playing it in-between DQ3 sessions and it's a really fun time
@Solid_Python it's very possible that the Crossworlds team didn't get the Switch 2 devkit until after the Switch 2 version of Sonic X Shadow Generations was done, or at least that's my guess
it's a 7 for me, it would be an 8 if the camera in the monuments wasn't so atrocious, I was really hoping that this new version would fix that but for some reason they thought it was fine and didn't need changing and I don't get how
good to hear there is more variety in the sequel, I liked the original Hades but I bounced off it quickly after I got all of the story because there just wasn't enough variation in the gameplay, which is a fatal flaw for a roguelike in my eyes
so no changes to the camera inside the monuments? that was easily the worst part of the original game, it made navigating them incredibly frustrating so it's disappointing that there are seemingly no improvements made to it

Re: Feature: The Tightest, Briskest Mario & Luigi Game Turns 20 Today And Deserves More Love
Probably my least favorite game in the series tbh, even more so than Paper Jam, I just find it so boring

the official twitter account for the game posted that this weekend will have different riders and machines available

Re: 10 Years On, Crypt Of The NecroDancer Is Still Digging Up Crossover DLC
@ElRoberico I meant counting this Shovel Knight DLC the Switch version is 3 DLC's behind, the other two are Monstercat and Everhood collabs
Re: 10 Years On, Crypt Of The NecroDancer Is Still Digging Up Crossover DLC
Rift of the NecroDancer is now 3 DLC's behind the Steam version, why is it taking them so long to release these on Switch?
Re: Hello Kitty Island Adventure - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Has Been Rated
@FishyS so far every game that had the "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" branding has an upgrade path so I don't see why this one wouldn't
Re: Surprise! Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Arrives Next Year
the upgrade pack is $5
also, there is no mention of an improved frame rate so I don't know why the article says that

@Rizla probably like how DQ3 remake did before the Switch 2 patch, so locked 30 FPS but pretty blurry

@Yosti yes, it says so on the eshop page
@Haruki_NLI yes, they confirmed mouse controls in the Switch 2 version here (skip to 14:08) https://youtu.be/4R1mNnbP6U8?si=G8aASJnQCSZrrY7C

I've seen a few websites report that it is coming to Switch 2 but in early 2026, but I can't find any source of that so idk what's going on
Re: Yooka-Replaylee Runs At 30fps On Switch 2, Team Investigating Performance Mode

@datamonkey it's listed in the part of the article that lists new features of this version dude
Re: The Touryst: Deluxe Hits Switch 2 Next Week At 4K / 60fps
so no changes to the camera inside the monuments?
that was easily the worst part of the original game, it made navigating them incredibly frustrating so it's disappointing that there are seemingly no improvements made to it

@KoopaTheGamer if this was a Switch 2 Edition they could, but it's not

@RupeeClock how would that even work? eShop can't detect if you have a physical version or not
