I voted for Japanese boxart but it can go to either it or the European one, they're equally good imo
The NA is not even an option, it just looks like a placeholder made in 10 minutes

@Dev1024 what exactly got spoiled? given Nintendo's own comments about the new console we already knew that's it's gonna look similar to Switch 1, everything else is still up in the air, especially software related stuff

@TechaNinja we still barely know anything aside from the most obvious stuff that anyone could predict based on Nintendo's own comments, that it's just a bigger and more powerful Switch
we still don't know how the UI looks or what are the built-in apps (or if there even are any) or if it has an additional gimmick or - most importantly - what games are gonna be released for it at launch
those are way more important, hardware alone isn't exciting without those things

how can you predict a number like that when there is nothing to base this prediction on? is it based on vibes?

I love this game, one of my favorite shmups on Steam, day one purchase for me

I only used them when I played WarioWare: Move It and that's it

still no analog triggers it seems, why is Nintendo so allergic to them I don't get it

@Clyde_Radcliffe it's a handheld device, there was never a chance that it would match PS5 in terms of power, unless you want to pay more than $1000 for it

calling it a "60 FPS framerate boost" is very misleading, it performs better now but it still never comes close to 60 FPS
I really wonder what was that delay for because it clearly wasn't optimization (or even making sure the game works given how much it crashed when you looked at it funny before this patch)

@N00BiSH yeah I saw this but that doesn't confirm that the whole game will run at a consistent frame rate plus aside from the blimp section Boiler City was not that bad when it came to performance, from what I've heard later levels are quite a bit worse in that regard

I still would like to know what the hell happened between the demo and the full version, demo ran smooth as butter and the full version doesn't seem to be doing anything that the demo didn't do, it's good to know that a patch is on the way to make the performance better (hopefully it'll be consistent) but maybe they should have delayed it for longer
This also confirms that Game Maker is a bad engine to use if you want to bring your game to Switch as it doesn't support multithreading, which makes optimizing games made in that engine to work on Switch way more of a pain

given how there is no english language option (which was the case with other releases from Live Wire even if you bought them from the japanese eShop) and Live Wire didn't say that it will release worldwide I'm pretty sure it won't release in other regions today or even in the next few weeks nvm, ignore this, I'm barely awake and can't read
weird how there is still no english language option though, which means you'll have to look up the features you can unlock in the store to know what they do

@mlt Adventure Rebirth should be a part of a Rebirth collection, if they put it in a Castlevania collection as a bonus then Contra Rebirth and Gradius Rebirth will have zero chance of a rerelease because they're not going to do another Contra collection and Gradius collection also seems unlikely, rereleasing them separately is also unlikely

@LikelySatan sorry but I'm just annoyed that any websites are giving stuff like this attention, this shouldn't even count as a rumor, this is just someone making s*** up just so people notice them
plus given all the comments Nintendo made about the successor it's pretty obvious that it's going to look similar to Switch 1 so I don't get why people want to see how it looks right now, it's everything else about the console that would be more interesting to see

Slipstream also got 7/10 here so that just tells me I shouldn't listen to the reviews of these kind of racing games on this site

@Mach_Rider the lag for the rising attack is not just in the Switch version, plenty of people on Steam listed that as one of the issues with the game

@Axecon trademark renewals mean absolutely nothing, there have been plenty of times where Nintendo renewed a trademark for an old game of theirs and nothing came out of those

I backed the game on Kickstarter so I'll be getting a code for the Switch version but I also bought it on Steam because I didn't want to wait and I had a fantastic time with it, can't recommend it enough, one of my favorite games of this year

I've also been playing Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble thanks to the latest update, the new modes for the Adventure Mode have been pretty fun (although I wish they just added a regular arcade mode already, No Miss Challenge doesn't exactly count as good replacement even though I enjoy it) and the new levels are some of the hardest in the series and I love that
Aside from that I also started Crypt Custodian, played about 1/4 of it and I'm really liking it so far

And comparing that to the reveal trailer it looks like they fixed a lot of the visual quirks that were in that reveal trailer

@rio_j this is from the OPTIONAL easy mode the 3DS version had, the original mode was still there and I'm 100% sure it'll still be in the Switch version

it would be nice if one of those post launch improvements was giving the characters different movesets so they're not just skins and nothing more but I kinda doubt it's gonna happen

day one, it'll be nice to finally have a version that runs at 60 fps with normal controls and the 3DS extra levels
I still have no idea why they thought shaking the Wii remote to roll in the Wii version was a good idea

most of these just feel like gimmicks for the sake of having a gimmick
the only ones I would be ok with are USB-C port on top and StreetPass but even then I don't see them as necessary or even worthwhile additions

one thing people are forgetting is that Prime 1 remaster was rated two whole years before release, so if they are remastering the other two games in the same vein then I can see Prime 2 remaster being released next year easily

I've been having issues with the battery draining faster than usual and games/updates not downloading when in sleep mode, I didn't notice any overheating issues but my friend did
I hope Nintendo will fix these issues soon

this is the main drawback of this version right now, for some reason they based it on the 2012 (or 2013, not entirely sure) version instead of the 2020 version which is just weird, I don't understand why they did that

if it's releasing next year (which I'm convinced it is given how there isn't even a release window for this) then it's 100% launching on Switch 2 and not Switch 1
