The direct itself was amazing. Sure, one more big game would’ve been nice, but Donkey Kong alone looks phenomenal.

In terms of the price… yeah. I will personally still be purchasing a Switch 2, but my hype has been dampened. I’m Canadian, so I’m not exactly chomping at the bit for $100 Nintendo games

Under normal circumstances it would be pretty bad, but with the context of the switch 2 direct literally next week it makes sense.

Kid Icarus Uprising 2, please Nintendo. With mouse mode it should actually be possible. Throw in an uprising remaster as well while you’re at it!

This is probably the best console of all time, in my opinion. Amazing library, both portable and a home console, and an incredibly fun hype cycle for the entire generation

As long as they continue to develop a handful of games with smaller budgets and scopes in addition to the triple-A titles, it is absolutely possible.

As soon as I can ensure that all of my games are safely transferred over to Switch 2, I see no reason to keep it. I understand the sentimentality aspect, but since the two systems are so similar I’m fine with parting with it.

Putting ‘Metroid Prime’ and ‘4’ in the title is just cruel…

Considering Nintendo’s comments about maintaining their image of a more affordable system compared to its competitors it makes sense. Any more and it would be too close to the competition

As long as they revamp the eshop all is forgiven…

But seriously, this sucks

It’s always sad seeing considerable resources dumped into a project that basically anyone could tell you would be a complete failure

@HugoGED @Reztobi good to know! The discount for the game + dlc seems like a steal to me so maybe I’ll bite.

Question for Rise: is it still worth buying now in 2025? I know a lot of the appeal comes from multiplayer so are servers still relatively active? I know Wilds is coming out soon but I don’t mind playing the old one, as long as there’s a decently active player base for Rise

Still can’t believe we haven’t gotten a Splatoon mobile game yet. They could basically make it any genre and it would probably work

Although I wouldn’t want Super Nintendo World, I think a theme park setting would be great. There’s a lot you can do with that

Considering the ‘everything is bigger’ marketing angle they seem to be going for I could see this.

@Paraka forgive me if my comment came off as overly harsh. I think it’s cool that they are willing to change elements of the game that have been the same for years. I was put off at first because Minecraft has been a certain way in my mind for so many years, so changing it is always going to be weird

@PikminMarioKirby honestly I’m torn. On the one hand I appreciate the newly added variety to the game, but a part of me feels like they’re losing a bit of the game’s iconic quality that made it nostalgic for so many people. Overall it’s probably a good thing though, and they’re easy enough to remove from the game via mods

I totally get this. I would have loved to play as Yoshi, but the game is just too boring when you’re invincible. Each character really should’ve had an easy and hard mode

It was inevitable. Even if it’s a soundtrack I don’t really care at all about, it really should have been here by now so it’s good it’s here

It’s a pretty great skin, but I don’t want to be known as the guy who owns the Sonic Jam skin when I’m dead.

I don’t know why this has been such an issue for Nintendo lately. Metroid Prime Remastered, Nintendo Music and now this have all had this problem of not crediting properly

Switch 2 is great and all but I’m still waiting for them to reveal that NX system they announced way back

This would be great for Mario Maker. It would make building levels on the TV so much easier
