@sanderev don’t get me wrong, I had low expectations for this patch and this met them. I just have a fundamental issue with how the game looks, regardless of style. If it were more polished, I could really appreciate the art style the game was going for, but the awful texture work, lighting, and world design took me out of the game. I guess I could see how someone could think of it as the best looking Pokemon game, but that’s not exactly doing the series any favours

It looks better for sure, but it’s still really unappealing visually. I really don’t have high expectations for Gen 10 in terms of graphical fidelity

Maybe I’m missing something, but if they were to port it, wouldn’t it be DE?

@Bigmanfan considering how much time and money they’ve spent on it and the fact that Metroid isn’t guaranteed to sell millions of copies, I could see them having a $70 (switch) $80 (switch 2) price

Honestly switch graphics were already great artistically so taking that foundation and polishing it with this new system was the best way to go. The game looks amazing, even if it could’ve technically looked better as a ground up switch 2 game

I’ve been hearing so many good things… if we got a switch port I would definitely give it a shot!

Am I the only one who thinks the billboards look fine? Like, they don’t look amazing, but they didn’t jump out to me as being AI art.

Why does everything have to be a contest? Why can’t we just have two good games release without being compared to one another

I already own intergrade on ps5 but I haven’t bought rebirth yet. If they bring it to switch 2 I might buy it there instead of PlayStation, assuming it runs well

The time from the initial reveal to the direct felt like a lifetime, but the time from the direct to now has flown by. Hopefully this next month goes by fast too (although there are still plenty of Switch 1 games I’m playing and will still be playing when switch 2 comes out)!

I mean, what did they expect to happen? They showed Nintendo’s next system early. That was never gonna end well.

I played a good deal of the original but never finished it. But I can see what makes it such a classic. The visuals, story and music were all impeccable

@Jalex_64 I feel the same way about Pikmin 4. It didn’t get a free upgrade, and it never received dlc.

Definitely won’t be buying one at launch, but if my old pro controller ever gets bricked it may be a nice upgrade. I don’t really care for the headphone jack or c button personally but they’re not bad additions

I’ll be keeping my switch 2 in my house for the first little bit after launch, so I’ll get a third party case later. I’ll also get an sd card when I need it. Other than that, I don’t care for any of the other accessories right now.

Honestly, most of my enjoyment comes from the animations that play for each new day. I love the Splatoon and Pikmin ones especially

This rerelease is such a massive fumble. Then again, this is the same company that couldn’t get kingdom hearts working on switch without cloud gaming.

Sounds about right. I’d expect more details on new characters, free roam (story mode??), and the full reveal of the traditional battle mode

Weapon durability never bothered me so I don’t really care. I do feel bad that many people couldn’t get into the game because of it though

Not really much to say here, of course he’s going to talk up the upcoming games if he works at Nintendo. Only time will tell if they live up to the hype (and the price tag).

@KritterXD I didn’t even think about that. Honestly it would make sense if Monolith helped with the MK World map, since I’m sure Nintendo trusts them with open world development after everything they’ve done
