I don't get Nintendo's communication strategy since they announced the switch 2. Nothing makes sense as they hold back useful info for no reason. Now they drip feed info through an app. I lost interest.

Nintendo can't keep up Ith modern trends. The obvious answer for the perfect launch time is "before it's ready when investors/execs who don't care about video games say so".

Given the importance of the guy at Nintendo, you'd think he already has Switch 2 for his entire extended family. This is just a masquerade.

About half of the Wii U's lifetime sales in pre-orders. Sounds like another failure like the Switch. It's been a long time coming: Nintendo is doomed.

Game key card = hard pass unless it's really cheap or the Switch 2 can be hacked easily (yes I find this digital only era annoying enough to already think about going fully free)

They need to create a korok amiibo. One that randomly resets one korok, remove a seed from your inventory and you'd have to find it without a single hint. It would be the most hardcore amiibo (that and not throwing it against the wall)

I would expect Nintendo to ask for millions in reparation and 3 life sentences. Their lawyers are getting lazy.

@JohnnyMind I think you can't patent anything that is too general. Like apple tried to patent the pinch screen to zoom and were told to bugger off. But I'm not sure there are any specific limitations to what can be patented. In the end it's decided by humans with a probable hint of corruption.

So pieces made of 4 squares should be patented, but not any falling pieces. I guess a line needs to be drawn somewhere to avoid blatant copy pasted games.

They're going all out with this one. The tentative title is Super Goomba Ascend. You play a goomba that kills hordes of Toads to climb the villain ranks and be Bowser's right hand. The last boss is obviously Mario who's high on mushrooms.

Like the GBC era. Pretty cool, except there isn't any difference between cross gen and switch 2 only. Some people will definitely be confused.

@the_beaver @jolteon23 @EVIL-C Apparently it's awful compared to Tsushima or Sekiro. And the PM of Japan said this game was an insult to Japanese culture since it didn't respect shrines. Ubisoft claims to be full of diversity, but it clearly didn't include anyone who knew Japanese culture. Same thing with the flag when they were promoting the game.

Aion was the worst implementation of fall damage. Everything else felt insignificant in comparison. Except Star wars Survivor which still sucked.

Also TOTK is a bad example since it has the glide set that cancels fall damages when upgraded to +2.

But I'm not against an easy mode without fall damage for children and people who are just bad at videogames or just don't have the patience to learn how to play. I might even use it to feel like a god. A really lazy one.

If you're not a collector, amiibo is by far the most expensive macrotransaction for very little in game privileges. I bought an amiibo emulator years ago and never felt any guilt about it. Nintendo should really rethink that figurine/macrotransaction hybrid.

Anyone old understand Nintendo not taking any risk after their comeback from the dark times of the Wii U era. They went from worst to best, in a single console generation. Why would anyone expect Nintendo to risk another Wii U? Especially since they don't have a separate portable console anymore.

Speaking of killer when comparing computing power makes little sens. They are both good choices if you play on the go. One has steam, the other has nintendo IP. This is the only thing that matters.

With the high price tag, you would expect double the storage and for them to stick with an OLED screen. But it feels like they are already planning all 4 exact same variants of the console throughout its lifespan (OG, lite, extended battery and OLED)

As one of the 12 people who have a Wii U with WWHD, I'll refrain from voting.

But I'd I didn't, I'd be torn. This is why this business model is so strange. If they released WWHD, you'd have to choose between a subscription or buying the better. Or if you already have the subscription, I doubt you'd ever buy the HD version. They could sell the OG game for 20 and the HD for 40-50€ and let us king of own games
