I'd take pretty much anything half as good as the original. A HD2D remake, an FF7R style remake, a prequel, sequel, spin-off, or... Chrono break??? Pretty please, make it a reality.

I probably set myself up for unavoidable disappointment.

I'm sure they will come up with a much better solution that requires a dozen cables, a switch, an android phone and an iPhone, a PC running on windows 3.1 and a fridge. Nintendo has always been weird with basic implementations of existing systems.

@HeadPirate Wrong gen. WiFi6 is ax, 5 is ac and 4 is n. And nobody has ever called it G4. I think @anti-matter is mistaking 4G as the mobile network with WiFi. Often people think wifi is a magical thing that give you the internet and don't even realise there is a dsl/fibre connection behind it.

Another common mistake is calling the 5GHz frequency "5G"

@AnnoyingFrenzy They started giving numbers to the generation of WiFi starting with 6 and going backwards. Before that it was called 802.11 b, g, a, n, ac, ax, be.

@JS_Comics I'd say there are a few reasons. The game engine and some visual effects are more demanding. Higher definition, etc. But there is most definitely some laziness and incompetence. A console game should always be optimised to run smoothly on the hardware by finding the right balance between quality and performance.

Developers have been talking about the switch as if it was less powerful than the Gameboy and use it as an excuse not to port or optimise anything. And the Switch 2 will probably be the same, or worse. They will port games, add ray tracing and blame the hardware for not hitting 30fps on a game cube HD remaster.

I've always been amazed by the brainwashing around Spielberg. Sure he made some great films 30 years ago, but he's mediocre at best nowadays. Good thing Miyamoto's got a brain not poisoned by western propaganda or blind nostalgia.

Also a Zelda live action is a terrible idea. I could see it as an anime from one of the many incredible studios out there, but definitely not a live action. But I'd love to be proven wrong if it's happening...

Now we need a more destructive weapon: a bow that shoots cuccos.

They need to keep working on it and allow to unfold the screen enough times so it's as big as a TV.

Those guys either state the obvious or try to be original by saying the stupidest things possible. Yes, the switch 2 will sell like hot cakes, and so will the switch 3 and 4 as long as they aren't named "Switch U".

Hopefully he'll find success with his own studio. Both Mario + Rabbids were a fantastic breath of fresh air and I'd love a spiritual successor.

Replace the Rabbids with Mokke from Toilet bound Hanako-kun and you'll have something similar, but even better and 100% japanese.

So far, the Steamdeck has sold 4 million more than the Switch 2. That number will probably be reversed within 6 month of release.

As long as every single game isn't a 5+ year development purgatory. Not every game is a 3D Zelda, a main Mario entry, a Mario kart (deluxe not included), a Metroid, or an F-Zero (still waiting for that perfect game that has definitely been in development for 20+ years)

@Anti-Matter It's even worse with full price game as a service. Any game based on micro transactions sucks.

Poker that doesn't involve real money is as harmless as any other card game.

PEGI18 should be the default for any game that includes micro transactions, loot boxes or premium currency to buy in game items with real money.

@HotGoomba I only believe self-proclaimed "insiders". You didn't say you were one, but you're a goomba, so this could be mushroom kingdom dollars or coins and I don't know the exchange rate for this currency.

That reminds me I bought oxenfree on switch years ago and never played it. And yes, I am totally decensitized to the almost daily layoffs in video games.

I'll never get the fascination for this game. I got it day one on Wii U and it was far inferior to XC1 and I was never enticed to explore everything after I beat the game.

It did look incredible for a Wii U game, and had Monolith soft art style all over it (and the Wii U only had a handful of worthy games)

It won't be any cheaper than the switch OLED. And it won't be as expensive as the PS5 on release or the XSX. Nintendo often try to get their consoles on the cheaper side. So 400€/$ is a safe bet and you don't need to be an self proclaimed analyst to reach this conclusion.

Too bad the house didn't get a stability update.

I still have it somewhere with my GC under a mountain of dust. I don't remember much about this game, but it wasn't bad. I'd rather have a Lylat wars remake or a new entry that would kick star fox zero out of the canon.

A true star fox inspired game must include:

• an arrogants bird
• a patronising rabbit telling you, the elite pilot, how to use the brakes and always reminding you about your dead dad
• a useless frog that gets shot down and you constantly have to help it
• an antagonist with the best theme music from the N64 era

AI generated crap need to go, but so does the rest of the shovelware. I wonder what percentage of the eShop is filled with shovelware.

It wouldn't be a Nintendo game without at least one insanely stupid decision. They think of the best possible things, and overlook something ridiculously annoying... Twice, since they did it with TOTK.

Just don't release cross gen titles if it limits the Switch 2 version. I'm disappointed Metroid Prime 4 isn't a switch 2 exclusive, so it can take full advantage of the new title, and not be an enhanced version of an old gen game.

So Nintendo took over ESA and created their own event after boycotting E3 for a decade. Well played, very evil.

@martynstuff I'm pretty sure it's gotten a lot worse. Games nowadays are way too ambitious, and pushing back a release only extends the crunch and add to the pressure.

Not to mention all the publishers and executive who only see in the very short term and want to make more money while spending less, aka "stop polishing and release it even if it's unfinished".

@Champalimo Crunch periods were totally different back then. The game, manufacturing and logistic were scheduled. And once the game was released, it was in its final version, without possibility to patch it after release. But devs got months of holiday to compensate for the crunch period.

Today it's absolute BS, because they combine delays, insanely long crunch and then troubles really start when they have to urgently patch the unfinished hot mess they released.

The quality of their games were just so random. They definitely had some incredibly talented people, but I don't even know the names of trustworthy people in the studio. Let's hope they all gather in a studio full of freedom and are entrusted with great IPs.

I wish eBay and the likes cared even a little:
Only authorising reselling of unreleased goods to professionals.
Forcing all non-professionals sales as "used" during shortages.
Blocking prices at 110-120% of the RRP.

Just doing this would prevent a lot of scalping. The rest could be done with some targeted bans as examples (plus death penalty, but some people would say it's taking things too far)

PS2 only sold 25 million
Switch has sold 5 units per human on this planet.

As impressive as it is, I will never understand why someone would spend years on a single game just to set a record. Same thing for glitches and exploits.

Switch 3 will predict you will fail and die (in game) as soon as you you start a game. No need for a patent, I already know I can be clumsy.

I used to work in the UK, and every time a colleague came back from the US, his English was corrupted for a while and he'd say non British words like "garbage". He knew speaking like this was rubbish. You should always stick to proper English, especially if you had the chance to grow up surrounded by a nice accent.
