I spent so much time on top racer 2 as a kid (we had a super Famicom). I'm sure it plays like crap with today's standards, so there is no way I'll ruin my nostalgia by playing it again. I'll just treasure these memories.

I just finished it on PS5. It starts great but I got bored to death by that stale open world. For once, I can't imagine it being good on Switch since the visuals are a big part of the game. And cheapening the physical version sure is an insult

Microsoft has been in denial about its competition for far too long.

The game looked great on that tiny 3DS screen. HD remasters are like nostalgia goggles, they make the game look the way you remember it.

If they get hit hard enough, they might come back on the announcement and say it doesn't concern free2play games, but only paid games at the time of purchase and use someone in communication as a scapegoat.

But seriously, I'd rather they start working on the next big thing. TotK is big enough as it is. Now give us 5 or 6 more sequels to ALTTP, instead of remaking every Zelda in existence until the next BotW sequel comes out!

The official Zelda timeline was created after quite a few games and changed a bit overtime. So I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo didn't have a clue about where BOTW and TOTK would fit. They might add a new game in the future that either merges all timelines, or create a new split before BOTW

The last 2D Mario that captured my interest was Super Mario World. And Wonder jumped at the top of my wishlist with its first trailer. So their solution to encourage creativity definitely worked on me.

I wish this becomes a trend. I pretty much stopped buying games day one (safe for a few select developers like nintendo) because of how bad most games are on release. Day one has the quality of an untested pre-alpha way too often.

It depends on when they will replace it. If the Switch gets a half gen next year and stick to a hybrid generation for 4 extra years, it will blow the PS2 and DS out of the water.

To be honest, there is barely a difference between a new gen and a half gen. Look at the PS5. Most games are also released on PS4, making it a sort of PS4 Pro-Pro with more expensive games.

You could buy this statue, or a switch oled, TotK, it's prequel and still have some money to spare. Also I wouldn't want it on my shelves even if I had it for free.

Same thing happened after BotW. Whenever it rained, I thought "dammit, now I can't climb anymore!". Then I realised I can't climb regardless of the weather, so I got over it.

The obvious choice for a new dlc character is the racket in pong. I'd love to see this vertical bar in HD. The pieces from Tetris would also be a good choice.

Not exactly a failure, but I once tried stacking 20 fans on a zonai floating platform (the one from the gacha machine) to see if it would move. It moved up very slowly, or down much faster. Then I tried horizontally. I discovered the fans bend slightly when they are stacked. I had a giant penis floating in front of me and I didn't even make it on purpose.

They probably worked on a copy and paste of the same thing until they saw the trailer for TotK and realised it wasn't another BotW clone.

Now they are probably trying to make a bad TotK clone and will call it "Immortals 2: Tears of Ubisoft Quebec" because they won't be able to sleep for the next 2-3 years.

I'd love to see a new game set in a more distant future in which the Yiga and sheikah's history are mixed up and Kohga is remembered as the hero who helped Link save the world.

I stopped at trine 3 and don't intend to buy anymore of their games. When players complained about trine 3, they pretty much said: "We knew our game sucked but we ran out of money, so we released it unfinished because we don't respect people who give us money."

20 Times doesn't seem like a crazy number when you are making a game.

The concept doesn't seem too bad. But a hybrid consoles with a screen cropped with round corners by Nintendo is one of the many ridiculous things about this.

Also I don't think Nintendo has used the same logo colour for 2 consecutive consoles. I wonder if they'll go for a more classy black, or a flashy colour, like yellow or green.

@Picola-Wicola I remember spending too much time on the wiki from the start to optimise crops and directly get the right gifts, talk to everyone every day to build up friendships and then rush to the dungeon to progress as much as possible.

• Just enjoy the game, take your time. The game is made to be enjoyed and there is no wrong way to play it.
• If you don't want to have a huge (but still pleasant) chore watering every day, don't plant to many crops until you get better tools and/or some sprinklers.
• Don't try to do too much every single day.
• Rainy days and winter are a good time to ignore your farm and do something else.
• Crops only grow specific season(s) and will die when the next season start, so make sure you have enough time to grow them.
• Some things are extremely rare (like a fish that appears one day a year). The wiki can really help you
• Don't carry too much stuff with you and don't stay up late at night (I think 2AM means a really bad surprise)

I've been wanting to replay this game for years, but I know I'll sink 150+h into it. 1.6 will definitely be the reason to do so.

The best F-Zero is F-Zero NX, the new entry on Switch that only exists in my dreams.

Another advantage with the physical version. I can delete all the patches and go back to v1.0 if I ever want to glitch like crazy. In the meantime, I play the most up-to-date version of the game.

Blowing in it is crazy. I just put my switch in the dishwasher once a week to keep it clean and it has worked perfectly since 2017

@Purgatorium I glitched lizalfos tails to upgrade a few armours. I couldn't be bothered to hunt 300 lizalfos of each type with ridiculously low drop rate. I wouldn't have glitched if they had a normal drop rate.

I think it's a good thing to keep Activision away from Nintendo consoles. The only smart decision from this as*hole.

It's not a direct competitor. I have a switch and a PS5. Whey work perfectly well together. But I won't buy an XSX because it wouldn't be of any use to me next to the PS5.

The perfect gaming setup is Nintendo + (PlayStation or Xbox) + gaming PC. The only direct competitors are Sony/Microsoft AMD/Intel and AMD/nVidia. Nintendo fits alongside everything.

I never liked the New series.
It's the first time since the SNES that I am genuinely interested in a 2D Mario. It looks a lot more fun and didn't have that generic "just another New super mario" feeling.
