This is pretty much an Animal crossing/Metroid crossover. I might be 5 odd years late for this joke.

They just need a 4k/60fps with HDR patch to look incredible. They have such a beautiful art style. Even XC1 on Wii, which had really ugly characters, had some beautiful environments and I enjoyed getting lost in it.

I really can't wait to see what this studio has in the oven.

A bitter reminder that Rare isn't a Nintendo studio. It would have been so great between Monolith soft and Retro studio.

Their fate is uncertain with Microsoft. Hopefully Nintendo will adopt them if they are in trouble.

Sometimes, reviews are just provided by the publisher with a big check. I'm not saying it's the case for NL, but conflict of interest is a thing with greedy or struggling news outlets.

@Hawkes142 You're right. Nintendo can be very old school in their decisions. But I always play on normal in my first run, so I should be OK

I'll start a second run on hard mode and lower it to normal difficulty 5 minutes in, when I get my arse handed to me by the first boss.

An acquisition I'd support. Unlike most other firms, Nintendo probably intends to nurture it and use it well. I'm still bitter about them not acquiring Rare.

It looks cool, but Furry Wars would be a better title.

Also it's cross gen, not cross platform. This is still a Nintendo exclusive.

I think the original logo reveal trailer had the perfect amount of spoilers and convinced me to buy the game.

I wish there was an official or licenced dock meant for transport. I guess the switch 2 dock cooling is quite useful considering how much it can heat. But a mini dock that outputs the equivalent of undocked graphics to prevent overheating would work for me.

A steam console? Count me in. I'll gladly drop playstation for this.

I was pretty burned out by the end of octopath 2. I probably won't be jumping on a third one.

Wasn't it Sakurai who said they shouldn't try to please the western audience? Why would Nintendo make western Mario and Zelda? Rhetorical question, I know it's only for the money, not the art. Is it too late to make an anime instead? A Xenoblade anime series would also be awesome.

@Vyacheslav333 It's a matter of big bucks. Japanese movies sadly never reached a billion dollars. This is also the reason why they went for Chris Pratt rather than a talented voice that sounds like Mario, like Charles Martinet.

I remember Nintendo saying they needed to sell at least 2 million copies of BotW to break even. I'm fairly certain they made a small profit with those numbers.

@1UP-HUSKY Agreed. Every big game should have a demo. I don't plan on buying it, but a demo could have changed my mind.

I'm still super intrigued by this game. But I'll wait for a good discount before jumping in. Any improvement will be extra motivation to buy.

Japanese names are often better. I don't know why westernisation always changes names. Why did they get rid of "dark"?

It's like Biohazard renamed to resident evil. Why would you change an English title to something completely different to "translate" it into the same language?????

A small indie dev like game freak can't afford voice actors. It's not like Pokémon was the most lucrative media franchise of all time. Oh wait... It is!

Many games use X to jump, some even use triggers. Remap or get used to it, either way is fine. I always try the default controls unless they make no sense. This was logical and worked well.

Who in their right mind would buy a Switch controller with the awful PS stick placement?

So there is a risk of frying your Switch 2 on top of bricking it. Hard pass, especially since the price isn't that great if you need to buy the power supply.

I bet the last boss is Frieza, since the previous one was SSJ Vegeta. I definitely won't preorder it until I know if the story isn't complete BS like the first one (prequel my foot).

The only reason devs don't make switch version is because it requires much more optimisation. So a switch 2 version is a no trainer.

You can also have infinite battery life if you connect both usb together. One will charge the other and your switch 2 will magically charge itself.

Isolated frame rate drops is the worst deal-breaker. Because of the frame rate in the Korok forest in BOTW, I could only stomach playing a few hundreds of hours.
