@the_beaver @jolteon23 @EVIL-C Apparently it's awful compared to Tsushima or Sekiro. And the PM of Japan said this game was an insult to Japanese culture since it didn't respect shrines. Ubisoft claims to be full of diversity, but it clearly didn't include anyone who knew Japanese culture. Same thing with the flag when they were promoting the game.
Aion was the worst implementation of fall damage. Everything else felt insignificant in comparison. Except Star wars Survivor which still sucked.
Also TOTK is a bad example since it has the glide set that cancels fall damages when upgraded to +2.
But I'm not against an easy mode without fall damage for children and people who are just bad at videogames or just don't have the patience to learn how to play. I might even use it to feel like a god. A really lazy one.
If you're not a collector, amiibo is by far the most expensive macrotransaction for very little in game privileges. I bought an amiibo emulator years ago and never felt any guilt about it. Nintendo should really rethink that figurine/macrotransaction hybrid.
One more reason to stay away from NSO. They will either create a separate tier for NSW2 backups or make it free... Yeah right. As if today's Nintendo would make anything free.
@gamma64 Your comment made me laugh. It's so true. Sony is as bitter and toxic as it's community, so don't go posting this on PushSquare. They are awfully disrespectful when you speak a truth they don't like.
As long as they are losing their identity by making some of the best games of all time, I don't really mind.
Anyone old understand Nintendo not taking any risk after their comeback from the dark times of the Wii U era. They went from worst to best, in a single console generation. Why would anyone expect Nintendo to risk another Wii U? Especially since they don't have a separate portable console anymore.
Speaking of killer when comparing computing power makes little sens. They are both good choices if you play on the go. One has steam, the other has nintendo IP. This is the only thing that matters.
Scalpers exist because idiots buy their stock at insane prices. Those idiots are the real problem. Stop buying from scalpers, leave them with thousands of €/$/£ of stock and they will never do it again.
That is a good news. Achievements only leads to a false sense of satisfaction. I don't want achievements to tell me when I'm done with a game.
Nobody wants to go through hours of chores for a stupid trophy to 100% complete a game.
Edit: it's funny how the comments about achievement is the exact opposite of PushSquare. Also I don't want to see stupid news about list of achievements on NL.
With the high price tag, you would expect double the storage and for them to stick with an OLED screen. But it feels like they are already planning all 4 exact same variants of the console throughout its lifespan (OG, lite, extended battery and OLED)
As one of the 12 people who have a Wii U with WWHD, I'll refrain from voting.
But I'd I didn't, I'd be torn. This is why this business model is so strange. If they released WWHD, you'd have to choose between a subscription or buying the better. Or if you already have the subscription, I doubt you'd ever buy the HD version. They could sell the OG game for 20 and the HD for 40-50€ and let us king of own games
Want to bet they'll sell a budget Switch 2 for 300-350€ in 2 years. A more efficient Switch 2 in 3 years. And an OLED Switch 2 in 4-5 years with a 7.2" screen at the low low price of 550€.
I don't like that excess of greed, whether it's Sony with the PS5 or Nintendo with the Switch 2. I don't think I'll buy it at launch.
The wish list is still there. It's better than the PS5 website at launch. Nintendo just discovered the internet existed a few years ago, but they can't do worse than Sony with their eShop.
Calling Switch 2 suggest they have finally settled on a console model that works well and won't mess up every other generation.
Had they call it Super Switch, I would worry about the Switch 64 losing ground to a new competitor and the Switch cube... I can't really picture how a cubic handheld would have worked.
What more would you want on the home screen? Unwanted advertising all over the place?
It's not as if you spend any time on it, it's just until you choose a game. The plain design works quite well and it starts as quickly as the old cartridge consoles. I can't complain.

Re: Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma Switch 2 Cart Will Apparently Also Work On Switch 1
Like the GBC era. Pretty cool, except there isn't any difference between cross gen and switch 2 only. Some people will definitely be confused.

Re: amiibo Could Be Getting A Price Hike, According To GameStop Listings (US)
Collectors: Oh come on! I need all amiibo, don't make me take a second mortgage
Me: TagMo added n2elite support. So cool.

Re: "Nintendo Has Been A Great Partner" - Phil Spencer Reiterates Switch 2 Support
Every time I see a news about Phil Spencer, I feel sorry for the guy. It looks like he'd give everything to work for Nintendo.
Re: Nintendo Confirms Duration For Tomorrow's Mario Kart World Direct
I don't care about the direct, I know I'll buy this game because it looks awesome. But I'd love to have more info on Metroid Prime 4 and DK
Re: After Selling Pokémon GO For $3.5 Billion, Niantic Is Now Laying Off Employees
Layoffs in the gaming industry happen whether a studio succeeds or fails. How can the industry of fun be based on that kind of crap?
And 68 people after spending 3.5 billion dollars? Couldn't they negotiate 3.495 billion and keep the employees?

Re: Japanese Retailer Is Asking The Public How To Combat Switch 2 Scalpers
Step 1: don't buy from scalpers
Problem solved.
Brain-dead idiots buying from scalpers are the problem.
Re: PS5 Digital Edition Now More Expensive Than Switch 2 In UK & Europe
@SillyG Guess again. That's a low end version, like the 2DS.
Re: PS5 Digital Edition Now More Expensive Than Switch 2 In UK & Europe
Remember when a smaller and cheaper version of consoles was released halfway through it's lifecycle?
Re: EA Sports Games For Switch 2 "Are Being Built Specifically For The New Handheld"
I would expect EA to just set the resolution to 480p without any ray tracing or anti aliasing and be done with it.
Re: Community: The Results Are In - These Are Your Most (And Least) Wanted Switch 2 Games
10% for the welcome tour, that's 10% more than expected.
Re: Mario Kart World Is Reportedly The Smoothest Entry Yet
To fully enjoy 120Hz, you need a new TV and to upgrade to bionic eyes. I have neither.
Re: DOOM + DOOM II Is Getting A New Limited Run Collector's Edition For $666
Way too cheap for me. I'll wait for scalpers to sell it at 6666.66$
Re: Gallery: Here's Switch 2 Compared To (Almost) Every Other Handheld
The comparison to the game boy micro is extremely useful. We now know the Switch 2 screen is slightly bigger.
Re: Zelda: BOTW Switch 2 Edition Won't Include The DLC, Nintendo Confirms
MK8 deluxe included all previously released DLC. Couldn't they make it BOTW deluxe?
Re: Reggie Fils-Aimé Weighs In On 'Switch 2 Welcome Tour' Controversy (Sort Of)
Welcome TOUR = Welcome T(o your money in) OUR (pocket).
They just forgot a few letters in the middle.
Re: Surprise, Palworld Dev Isn't Fond Of The 'Pokémon With Guns' Description
Would "Pokemon with lawsuit" be a better description?
Re: Zelda Wind Waker Switch 2 GameCube Release Doesn't Rule Out HD Port
Wii U games will be included in the NSO Super extension pass extra deluxe premium (599€/year) on Switch 4
Re: Nintendo: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Is A "Canonical Tale"
Ganonical.
Hopefully it won't end with Ganon in a SSJ Vegeta cosplay like the first one.
Re: Nintendo Is Reportedly Not Releasing The Switch 2 In China Just Yet
The country that manufactures the console is not allowed to own it. Talk about irony.
Re: Is The Switch 2 A Steam Deck Killer? Digital Foundry Dives Deep

I wonder if the background removal will even work with such a low resolution. Can the software make it work?
Re: Random: Yep, Nintendo Switch 2 Game Cartridges Still Taste Disgusting
8 years to train people. I would have hoped for cyanide coated cartridges to avoid any risk of death by suffocation.
Re: Upgrade Pack Price For Zelda: BOTW And TOTK Has Been Confirmed
I guess I'll do my next play through on Switch 2 since the price is acceptable.
Re: Nintendo Comments On Mario Kart World's Controversial Price
"Whenever we look at a given game, we just look at what is the experience"
Oh boy, I can't wait to play the next 150€ Zelda... Just not looking forward to fork out the money.
Re: Nintendo Of America President Says Tariffs "Not Factored" Into Switch 2 Price
If the price doesn't change in the US, you can expect another region lock
Re: Random: Feast Your Eyes On Universal Orlando's Stunning Zelda Stained-Glass Windows
Now all that's left to create is a religion around Hylia. I don't think it would make less sense than any existing religion.

Re: ICYMI: Mario Kart's Iconic Track Looks Set For A Return In World
It wouldn't be mario kart without it. Like F-Zero without Big blue (still waiting for a new entry btw... Anytime now)
Re: Nintendo Appears To Have Given Its Game Cases A Makeover On Switch 2
Attention to details is expected from Nintendo. It's what they do best.
Massive unexplained oversight is also expected from them, so I'll keep the popcorn handy.
Re: Community: Which Switch 2 Games Are You Wishlisting?
I'll wishlist the unannounced next Zelda. Donkey Kong seems like the best in the entire franchise, but the price of the console is too high.
I might wait for a discount before upgrading. I not in a hurry. I've got a PS5 with some of the game announced on Switch 2.
Re: Opinion: No One Is Talking About The Switch 2's Best Feature
The best feature is its ability to play the coming generation of Nintendo games.
That's the biggest strength in any Nintendo console, and I'd take a cheaper console with fewer gimmicks over this overpriced console.
Re: Switch 2's Jump From OLED To LCD Wasn't A Decision Nintendo Took Lightly
Not to mention the catastrophic battery life.
Want to bet they'll sell a budget Switch 2 for 300-350€ in 2 years. A more efficient Switch 2 in 3 years. And an OLED Switch 2 in 4-5 years with a 7.2" screen at the low low price of 550€.

Re: Hands On: Should 'Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour' Be A Pack-In Game?
2% trolls answered "Nope!". Or maybe Nintendo infiltrated this websites... Nintendo life is compromised!
Re: The Switch 2 Will Emulate Switch Games, Because It Shares No Internal Hardware With Its Predecessor
Emulation is less efficient than running directly on hardware. So in which universe does it save battery?
Re: "DROP THE PRICE!!!" Scream Nintendo Fans During Nintendo's Treehouse Live Broadcast
I liked the post Wii U failure nintendo better. Now that they're coming out of another success, they are getting way too greedy
Re: Sale Predictions Remain Unchanged Despite Switch 2 Price Concerns
I don't see how it will sell as much as the switch at this price. Unless they release a low end entry in a year or two.
Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour Price Has Been Confirmed
I'm not even sure I'd play it even if it was free. So, hardest pass on this one.
Re: Nintendo Devs Reveal Some Big eShop Improvements On Switch 2
The wish list is still there. It's better than the PS5 website at launch. Nintendo just discovered the internet existed a few years ago, but they can't do worse than Sony with their eShop.
Re: PSA: Switch Online Includes Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack Access At "No Additional Cost"
I'm beginning to think Nintendo secretly hired Sony's communication team. It feels like they omitted most useful information.
Re: Switch 2 Was Very Nearly Called 'Super Nintendo Switch'
Calling Switch 2 suggest they have finally settled on a console model that works well and won't mess up every other generation.
Had they call it Super Switch, I would worry about the Switch 64 losing ground to a new competitor and the Switch cube... I can't really picture how a cubic handheld would have worked.
Re: Uh Oh, Switch 2's Home Screen Looks Just As Bland As We Feared
What more would you want on the home screen? Unwanted advertising all over the place?
It's not as if you spend any time on it, it's just until you choose a game. The plain design works quite well and it starts as quickly as the old cartridge consoles. I can't complain.
