Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Trainers Reportedly Encounter New Game Crash In Version 2.0.1 Update

RadioShadow

@MirrorFate2
What bug is that? From what I have played of AWRBC, the only two crashes I had was:

  • I activated Olaf's AW1 Power (I guess Blizzard was too strong).
  • During the AI's turn as Grit, the music's speed increased, and the game got confused.

Thankfully in Campaign / War Room, it saves automatically after each unit has made an action, so no progress was lost.

I have heard that some people have had the wrong units appear during Battle Animations. I think it happened to me once, but otherwise, the correct animations played.

There is an exploit to get more money on Day 1, but you have to go out of your way to get this to work. If you want to be a cheating git, then be a cheating git.

I would love an update to fix these minor issues, but I feel WayForward have abandoned the game, so I'm not holding my breath. On the other hand, no updates, which is cool for those who own a physical copy.

I'm surprised they don't talk about colourblind options in games. Like "Crash Bandioot 4: It's About Time" has colourblind support, but the website doesn't mention anything about this (from my quick check). Basically, is there anything that might make the games unplayable (like Sonic Mania's Mean Bean Machine boss).

Another being those who suffer from flashing lights. Would be cool to know if the game has it (or the issues have been patched like Sonic Colours Ultimate).

I don't suffer from the above issues myself, but I feel they would be great information to include on the database.

Re: Gex Trilogy Collection Announced For Nintendo Switch

I wonder if they would let us choose which English voices to use? The PAL versions have different voice actors for Gex, with Leslie Phillips voicing Gex in 2. He nailed it, compared to Dana Gould.

I suspect they would just stick with Dana Gould, which would suck to be honest.

Re: Best Game Gear Sonic Games, Ranked By You

RadioShadow

Here's mine:

1 - Sonic 1
2 - Sonic Labyrinth
3 - Tails' Sky Patrol
4 - Sonic Triple Trouble
5 - Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
6 - Sonic Chaos
7 - Tails Adventure
8 - Sonic Drift 2
9 - Sonic Drift
10 - Sonic 2
11 - Sonic Spinball
12 - Sonic Blast

The only reason to check out Mean Bean Machine is the exclusive Puzzle Mode. Otherwise it's an okay version on Game Gear.

Sonic 1 is one of those cases where I think it did better than the Mega Drive version, and fixed a few issues over the Master System version.

Sonic 2 is way more difficult than the Master System version. Just play that one instead.

Sonic Labyrinth gets too much hate. Go and play Taz Mania on the Game Gear if you want a terrible game. It's a guilty pleasure game that works fine on the Game Gear.

Sonic Drift 1 & 2 are fine 8-bit racing games. This game gets bashed a lot, but then people just like to complain that Sonic is driving a kart...

Sonic Blast is just bad, and the 6/10 score Nintendo Life is a joke. Actually, I think they were on something when they wrote that review.

I couldn't beat the first level on Spinball. They tried. Just stick with the better Mega Drive version.

Tails' Adventure I've started to play. It's like Metroid in a way. It can be a bit cryptic at times, but it's enjoyable once you accept what it does. Tip: When you die, you don't lose what you have collected. Just click CONTINUE and press START with the password.

@Olliemar28
When you say "We only managed to play as Sonic and Knuckles", was that at the same time, or separate?

I'm just curious how the co-op play is gonna work. It just seems a bit too ambitious, considering Sonic games are fast (unlike Rayman Legends / New Super Mario Bros.). I'm just worried the multi-player might feel a bit tacked on/less fun to play.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (DS)

RadioShadow

The EU box art reminds me of Mario Kart DS's box art. Just the main character on a white background.

The USA version does a much better job showing the main characters, and that it's a game based on the court of law (but a fun one). Clearly the winner, and I wish I had this version.

The Japan version is fine, but a little too simple, and doesn't show much. It's a shame the US/EU use this style for the rest of the series.
