It really needs to become "Nintendo Kart" pull from the entire family of characters. Sort of a "Smash Bros." of the karting world. Maybe bring in some kind of boating or flying elements to change things up, via Diddy Kong Racing. Just imagine flying through the lands of Kid Icarus or Jet Skiing in the waters of Wave 64. There is some much that can be explored. The one thing they do not want to do though is bring in any stupid "micro transactions" or making players grind through "seasons". These are things that killed Chocobo Racing, Crash Team Racing, The Disney Racing game, whatever that was called.

I would like to see a more balanced weapon system. More short cuts / secret paths. Allow "track jumping" but only for the last 3 Karters, give them a secret edge. You know help the underdog out.

@epicgamner I agree. I just renewed mine and my kid's accounts and we got nothing for doing so. I call BS on Nintendo

Playing Sonic Superstars. IMHO is a rather good game. It borrows A LOT from previous Sonic games and oddly enough from a certain "brothers" game. I was expecting something a little less "Sonic", but this fits in nicely with the original games in the series. My one huge beef with this game (as of right now) is the ridiculous chaos gem 3D "space / void" where Sonic turns into "spiderman" and is swinging from rope/webs trying to reach the gem in the center of the screen. I will also say that I am enjoying Sonic's latest outing way more than Mario's (but that is a different post all together ).

I was going to write a 666 page review on how massively horrible and disappointing SMB Wonder is, but I decided to play Sonic Superstars instead.

Everyone in here can argue with each other over what is great and horrible about the game. But when it comes down to it, it's whether or not YOU like the game. So turn of the noise around you. Stop looking at reviews and comments before you play the game. And from there draw your own conclusion about it.

This is a huge wake up call for people who love games tied to the internet or cloud services. Once a server goes down the game is DEAD. Splatoon is another example of a game that will die when the servers go offline forever. Physical games that do NOT rely on servers or the internet will be the winners in the long run.

@Late Thank you for responding. So are those "card" like things a version of Amiibos? I think that is a pretty cool idea for an arcade machine. I think it would work best in a fighting game situation.

Question - in the video they show kids playing some sort of Pokemon game and it looks like they are using "amiibo" like cards on a reader and it looks like if you defeat or capture a Pokemon a card comes out of the machine? What was this that they were showing?

TBVH the only thing I was excited about was the announcement of the Tomb Raider remasters. TR1&2 were some of my favs on the PS1. I think they messed up the chance to really make Princess Peach in her own game on Switch. I would have liked to have seen something closer to the Super Princess Peach from the DS. I was NOT at all excited about the Luigi's Mansion 2HD feels like a cheap money grab. As for everything else ..... it was a snooze fest.

If you have not played them yet, try the RICHMAN series of games. They are sort of a light mix of Monopoly and Mario Party or Fortune Street.

So what game(s) can we expect by next wednesday?

Nintendo Switch certainly is a descent retro machine. I have personal favs that I would like to see on the system before it's dead, but that looks like it will be Christmas of 2024.

It's a serious NOPE for me if the new machine is not backwards compatible.

Is Maki Itoh included in this game?

I would like to be the first to say that I think "Wonder" is going to be the name of the switch successor. This game is getting released late enough in 2023 that it could be one of those games that bridges both systems. Much like Zelda BOTW did.

I would be more excited to see a remaster of the first 2 games in the series.

If true I hope it is done with absolute care and a much different art style than the SMB movie, that just will not work for Zelda. The other hope is that the puke inducing "Well excuse me Princess" does not make it into the movie. I loathed that phrase in the cartoon. It is like nails on a chalk board.

Ooooh La-La, another money grabber game. $80 for the cart and then $1000 more in DLC and "season passes".

This will be a huge pass. I stopped playing the first one after I realized that the game's business model is built around making you to buy more stuff.

$60-$120 for the game + DLC and then on top of that micro transactions.... BS. Not happening with my wallet.

Is there such a thing as a Farming simulator set in the galaxy far far away? You know, one that you can see what it was like for Owen & Beru to farm on a desert planet.

When I was a kid, we had a toy called "Shogun Warriors", this reminds me so much of those. I will be ordering this game for sure. It looks like it is going to be so much fun.

okay I am throwing my old man gamer 2 cents in on this... $70 is one thing when you talk about physical. But when you talk about digital, which has no box, no covers, no GAME CARTRIDGE or anything tangible I have to draw the line.... My opinion has been and always will be, digital copies of anything should be sold at a much lower rate because there is none of the above mentioned nor is there a need for manufacturing plant costs, no shipping involved, "stores" to keep stock in... Etc., Etc.

You get my point. A honestly there has NOT been a single game out yet on any system that would make me drop $70+ on it. I am sure down the road TOTK is gonna have DLC of some type and that is going to add even more to the cost. I stopped playing/buying games that were "incomplete" and had to have all types of DLC to play the FULL game.

The big news tomorrow will be the launch of their new system the Wii-U-Mii aka the Wii U++. Nintendo insiders say that the company is going this route because they are sick of all of this success so they have decided to throw a wrench in the works. Because the "new" system will actually be a "emulation only" set up Nintendo will have 1000's of "hit" games ready at the go. The Wii-U-Mii will first focus on the entire Gameboy library and then move on to the DS and 3DS family. Nintendo claims to have resolved the DS dual screen needs by simply making you buy a second TV and a boat load of useless wires to display both screens together. Stay tuned for more Snor-tastic snooze, I mean news.

I am honestly hoping for near perfect ports of Zaxxon and Viewpoint. Especially Viewpoint. I dropped so many quarters into that game I could have owned one.

@CharlieGirl I don't remember where I picked up "Jumping Joe & Friends" but that game is one of my favorite freebies. Simple to learn, impossible to master.

@CharlieGirl I happen to enjoy the Qubic games that I have so far. I too wonder how they can stay afloat with all their free and dirt cheap games.

Just busting your balls, but isn't the main character more of a Samurai than a Ninja. Ninjas did not wear amour as it affected their abilities (i.e., speed and stealth).

Are there not more IMPORTANT things in the world to worry about? Is it Pork Roll or Taylor Ham? Why can't I wear white after Labor Day? Should I drink a liter(litre) of vodka before meeting with my boss?

The Mattel logo killed the PAL version for me and the US one looked like they used clipart to produce it.

One man's trash is another's treasure. Game play and replay is so much more than graphics and triple A status in my book. But to each there own. Hell I still love playing Jumping Joe and Friends, to me that game is so addictive. Download them all and "toss out" the ones you don't care for and if you do not like any, you do not like any.

I will stay say thanks for No Gravity Games for making this a fun chase with some unique games.

@brandonbwii unless you started from day 1 and downloaded the game each day you wont be able to get Creepy Tales 2.

I took full advantage of this offer and have downloaded all 12. I really enjoyed Power-tris, though it is a bit slow in reaction time. Creepy tales is a favorite for me and my daughter. Supersonic Tank Cats is a very silly racing game. So far those are the ones that I have tried out of the 12. Hats off to NO GRAVITY GAMES for thinking outside the box with these games.

I noticed that you put 2 jokes in this collection of collections - Mario 3D All-Stars (which should be burned at the stake like a witch from Salem) and The Spyro Trilogy : Reignited. It's so bad I don't even have a comment for it.

@SearchingS I would love to see a "Mario All Stars" remake of the 2 gameboy Mario games. And I am of course referring to the SNES "All Stars" and not the abomination that was 3-D All Stars. They seriously need to re do that collection and apologize to fans for even letting it out of it's cage.

Nintendo is not new to making fans wait forever for a quality game in a favorite series. Any Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda (Link) Metroid games are all going to be held back for the Switch's successor or simultaneously released on both as the Switch makes its way to the video game grave yard. I have a feeling we will be hearing of a new system about X-mas time in 2023 or late spring of 2024 (for holiday season of that year).

I am slightly impressed with the game list, but because I keep getting burned on pre-orders, I am just going to sit back on this one.

I upgraded to the OLED last year after having a switch since 2018. I am slightly impressed with the screen graphics in HH mode but to be honest I mostly play on my tv because I cannot see the screen as well as I used to. Old age sux. The upgrade in on board memory was a bonus. My BIGGEST regret of upgrading was losing ALL of my Splatoon 2 data. 100's of hours lost.

L4ndphil.com is reporting that as a special hidden bonus they were including ET: The Extraterrestrial - the game is apparently BURIED very deep in the collection.

Would this not turn to dust because of the acids in the inks and paper? Kinda like the DEATH OF SUPERMAN comics.

Something BIG must be in the works for spring 2023. There seems to be an awful lot of attention focused on that time frame.

@EarthboundBenjy There is a great '80's fix to that .... They will just add the word "REAL" to the title to make it more "official" .... "The REAL Super Mario Bros" or for a more modern approach ..... "Super Mario Bros. +" or perhaps a more Nintendo take on the title ...... "Super Mario Bros. Deluxe"
