Re: Lost WiiWare Title Space Invaders Get Even Could Come To Switch If There's Enough Demand

Oyaji_Music

There are so many games out there that are "remasters" from the the Wii era that used the wiimote in such a way that it is hard to translate them over to the switch. I honestly believe that there needs to be a "hybrid" joycon / wiimote. This has even been a problem with some of the Switch's own games. The joycons are just too damn small (as a single "unit" ) to be a viable control device for the high demand games. Super Mario Galaxy is one that could have certainly benefited from such a controller.

Re: Dispatch Games Promises "A New Day" After Months Of Silence

I have tried two different "physical / limited batch" companies in the past year and have been disappointed both times. The biggest gripe is the constant change of release dates. After the current struggle with Strickly Limited Games, who constantly keep changing release dates but continue to push and advertise NEW games all the time. DO NOT sell more games when you can't get the ones that have been ordered for almost 6-8 months out. So I have decided that I will no longer "chase" limited batch games. I really believe that there is a lot that these companies can offer the gaming community but they (every single one of these companies) need to 1. be held to much higher standards by an industry watch dog, 2. They need to change their ordering process, so that they are not allowed to take orders until production of product has been completed. 3. System owners (i.e., Nintendo, Sony. Microsoft) should be able to demand better service from these companies or pull their "license" to make products for their system.

What this all comes down to is that these companies have no consequences for not completing orders in a descent time frame and (to me) makes the system itself look bad. Of course this is all my opinion, which is based on my personal dealings with this type of company.

@Kalmaro, I personally like physical copies. They are superior to digital. They do not chew up all the memory on the system or SD card. Physical cards are always gonna be transferable from one switch to another. You will never have to re-download the game or worry if the game is still available for re=download. Physical is just better in so many ways. But hey, to each their own.

Re: Ubisoft's Goal Is To Make All Of Its PvP Games Support Cross-Play

That is such a joke, UBISoft cant seem to get their Switch games to "play" with each other. I have several of their games that you supposedly can play against others "worldwide" and yet they never do. Most of the time the games crash. WoF/Jeopardy crashes my daughters Switch every time she tries to use it. I will believe this once they work out the normal bugs in their CRAPTASTIC games.

Re: Disgruntled Gamers Are Review-Bombing Astral Chain On Metacritic

Oyaji_Music

This kind of behavior is childish. It does nothing for the industry in any way shape or form, in fact when a game gets review bombed it puts a halt on possible ports and sequels. A publisher / developer is not going to invest into a poorly reviewed game. they are gonna move on and try another avenue. so these whiny PS4 players that are review bombing this game are really killing off their chances of getting a port or sequel.

Re: Talking Point: Is The Remake Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Worth $60?

Oyaji_Music

i have said this a couple of times when it comes to remakes or re-releases of games on the switch ( or any system), make it well worth the money being spent ( Mario Kart 8 "deluxe" is a perfect example of how NOT to do this, so is Mario U "deluxe", those games are only worth the price because if you missed the Wii U versions it is the only way to play them ). I think games like Link's Awakening should have either one of two things CHEAP entry price or so much extra content that it would make it worth a AAA price tag. In this case it would have to be every past GB/GBA Zelda Adventure tied into one massive collection. Further more any more Wii U games that are direct ports should be placed under a new price point say something around the $30-$35 mark. I , like many fellow gamers do not like paying full price for every UNCHANGED direct port of a game that goes from one system to another. I will refer back to my statement that some people missed a lot of games that came out on the Wii U because they did not adopt the system, I get that, which is why is ay that if we are gonna get direct ports of those games make them a bit cheaper to draw us into buying the game. Or as i stated before make it worth the price of admission. I would love to see every Mario ported over to the switch but i am not paying $60 for Mario 3D World (again), $30-$35 yeah it becomes more likely i will pick it up again. I would certainly pay $60 for both Galaxy games together, $60 for All Stars + the SNES games (including RPG), $60 for a Paper Mario Collection. The point is when it comes to retro gaming there is a PRICE that people will pay, NINTENDO needs to realize that.
