@BulbasaurusRex I get what you were saying, but my comment had nothing to do with technical limits of system nor joycons. I was stating that there should be a hybrid of the two to make it easier to hold/control especially for people with larger hands. But thank for the insight.
There are so many games out there that are "remasters" from the the Wii era that used the wiimote in such a way that it is hard to translate them over to the switch. I honestly believe that there needs to be a "hybrid" joycon / wiimote. This has even been a problem with some of the Switch's own games. The joycons are just too damn small (as a single "unit" ) to be a viable control device for the high demand games. Super Mario Galaxy is one that could have certainly benefited from such a controller.
Could there be a bigger problem or set of problems going on behind the scenes at Sega? Splitting their amusement and arcade divisions. Talk of a major buyout through out the last year. Voice actors stepping away all at once? this all seems to relate to a big shake up or worse, major issues in the Sega camp(s).
I have tried two different "physical / limited batch" companies in the past year and have been disappointed both times. The biggest gripe is the constant change of release dates. After the current struggle with Strickly Limited Games, who constantly keep changing release dates but continue to push and advertise NEW games all the time. DO NOT sell more games when you can't get the ones that have been ordered for almost 6-8 months out. So I have decided that I will no longer "chase" limited batch games. I really believe that there is a lot that these companies can offer the gaming community but they (every single one of these companies) need to 1. be held to much higher standards by an industry watch dog, 2. They need to change their ordering process, so that they are not allowed to take orders until production of product has been completed. 3. System owners (i.e., Nintendo, Sony. Microsoft) should be able to demand better service from these companies or pull their "license" to make products for their system.
What this all comes down to is that these companies have no consequences for not completing orders in a descent time frame and (to me) makes the system itself look bad. Of course this is all my opinion, which is based on my personal dealings with this type of company.
In addition, the moving speed is up or, wall climbing and of Nekomario, longer flight time of jumped and may become improve the operability from the Wii U version has been.
@JohnnyC Here in America they tend to drop new games in the Nes/Snes apps on Wednesdays. Maybe we will be getting something over the next couple of weeks for the holidays. We can only hope and wait.
Reminds me a little bit of the GARFIELD game where he gets sucked into his TV ( I think, though not 100%, that Garfield has a problem with his remote and the satellite dish and that is how he gets sucked in ). Still this game looks like it could be interesting. If it is priced right i will be looking at this for sure.
considering that nearly EVERY single tech/game show/convention has been or soon will be cancelled it makes sense for Nintendo (and other companies) to do these kinds of presentations. Nintendo has been putting off a real DIRECT for a few months now. Maybe the current state of things will change that.
my daughter and I have become quick fans of the Pop'n TwinBee game, it is a lot of fun when you play with another person. game has a few short comings but over all we love it.
tough choice - I picked the Japanese version just slightly over the EU version, manly because the art reminds of so many '80's and early '90's RPG art (very classic). The US version sucks and is too childish for any older gamer to even give the game a look.
yes it is gaming history, but the buyer is basically buying a $31k paperweight. there is not even a prototype CDrom to play on this. But hey to each their own
i love the art of the Japanese version which is condensed for the European version, but i went for the much better title of the EU version. "Castlevania : Vampire's Kiss" sounds so much cooler than (wha wha) "Castlevania : Dracula X" (wha wha).
I would get a Switch Pro if Nintendo came up with a trade in / trade up deal. I would also like to make sure that i can transfer ALL of my games and saves
I thought that alien crush was the sequel to devil's crush on TG-16? Either way if it priced right i will give it a serious look. I liked the aforementioned games.
the snowflake panty waste generation strikes again. so because a voice doesnt SOUND "black" enough they are in "trouble"? "If we were blind and had no choice, would we hate each other by the tone of our voice" - Anthrax (Schism). This is just straight up sick.
we here in the states the so called month of LUIGI has been super lame, there really has been nothing. was really hoping for LM3 special edition Amiibo or even a gooigi amiibo, but alas we got Jack Snit. BOOOOOOOOO Nintendo BOOOOOO (and i do not mean King Boo either).
@Kalmaro, I personally like physical copies. They are superior to digital. They do not chew up all the memory on the system or SD card. Physical cards are always gonna be transferable from one switch to another. You will never have to re-download the game or worry if the game is still available for re=download. Physical is just better in so many ways. But hey, to each their own.
That is such a joke, UBISoft cant seem to get their Switch games to "play" with each other. I have several of their games that you supposedly can play against others "worldwide" and yet they never do. Most of the time the games crash. WoF/Jeopardy crashes my daughters Switch every time she tries to use it. I will believe this once they work out the normal bugs in their CRAPTASTIC games.
Where are you guys getting this info. I clicked on Yooka - laylee and i shows up at $19.99 (us), which is 1/2 off. But still your posting is incorrect.
so Nintendo, give us something we all want and then go and screw it up. Why in the hell were the fans and subscribers not made aware of this. who the hell running Nintendo? c'mon big N stop funking over your fans
Bad reviews cause bad publicity which leads to bad sales. And even if I am wrong. Review bombing a game has never lead to a game getting ported to another system, leave alone any follow ups
This kind of behavior is childish. It does nothing for the industry in any way shape or form, in fact when a game gets review bombed it puts a halt on possible ports and sequels. A publisher / developer is not going to invest into a poorly reviewed game. they are gonna move on and try another avenue. so these whiny PS4 players that are review bombing this game are really killing off their chances of getting a port or sequel.
Why do the prices of Joy-Cons keep going up. Seriously $80 for green Joy-Cons. The fact that they are just now correcting the drifting issue puts me at no ease for this jump in price.
i have said this a couple of times when it comes to remakes or re-releases of games on the switch ( or any system), make it well worth the money being spent ( Mario Kart 8 "deluxe" is a perfect example of how NOT to do this, so is Mario U "deluxe", those games are only worth the price because if you missed the Wii U versions it is the only way to play them ). I think games like Link's Awakening should have either one of two things CHEAP entry price or so much extra content that it would make it worth a AAA price tag. In this case it would have to be every past GB/GBA Zelda Adventure tied into one massive collection. Further more any more Wii U games that are direct ports should be placed under a new price point say something around the $30-$35 mark. I , like many fellow gamers do not like paying full price for every UNCHANGED direct port of a game that goes from one system to another. I will refer back to my statement that some people missed a lot of games that came out on the Wii U because they did not adopt the system, I get that, which is why is ay that if we are gonna get direct ports of those games make them a bit cheaper to draw us into buying the game. Or as i stated before make it worth the price of admission. I would love to see every Mario ported over to the switch but i am not paying $60 for Mario 3D World (again), $30-$35 yeah it becomes more likely i will pick it up again. I would certainly pay $60 for both Galaxy games together, $60 for All Stars + the SNES games (including RPG), $60 for a Paper Mario Collection. The point is when it comes to retro gaming there is a PRICE that people will pay, NINTENDO needs to realize that.
